I heard it was 50 people on this party. I don't think this lady could afford to pay Adam even $100,000.

@9:52 AM I'm left speechless by your rude comment!

Lol I don't think he made more than 100k but this lady is married to a very rich man.

If I had a lot of money or won the lottery, I would definitely want to have Adam performing at a private party. That would be the ultimate gift. And I am sure that no matter what his fee, Adam is worth every dollar of it.

@9:52 AM Who are you? What do you base your comment on? Do you manage her money? Does she know you're a tell all? Maybe it was a gift from someone else.

I haven't a clue what Adam gets paid for a private gig, but I'm sure it's the same regardless where he goes, including travel expenses. Since I don't appreciate people asking about my finances, I would not assume to invade his personal business. With his Queen show looming, I'm sure he's considering his band when saying yes to these shows. The Dark Side

No his fee is certainly not the same wherever he goes. It's all negotiable. A radio show or tv event could be done for free. A tour concert is nowhere near a one off fee. It depends what benefits there are, what his schedule is, how much he needs the money. A birthday party has to be bottom of the list of desirable gigs and done strictly for the cash

I find this kind of sad.

Money gigs are not sad.

I am happy for these lucky fans and their relatives who have the means to pull off an intimate gig like this one. There's no doubt in my mind that Adam sees some value in it in addition to the $$ he makes. He is a people person and he likes to connect, and he probably welcomes a chance to keep the chemistry going with his band members who he gets along with so well.

Actually the lady and her family are extremely wealthy and have a charity that donates a lot of money.

A link is posted on an earlier thread that Adam gets $150,000 - $250,000 in the US.

If I had a lot of money or won the lottery I would definitely want to have Adam performing, but I would organize a public party for a much much bigger crowd than 50+ persons... plus combine it to some charity for a good cause.

Getting Adam to perform for 50 persons only is such a waste in more ways I care to count...

Even if it was a small party, it was an opportunity to get the band together, play a few songs at this gig and to have some fun. Of course, being paid very well doesn't hurt either. I think anyone who is complaining here just might be a bit jealous. If I had that kind of money, I would want Adam to perform at a private party for family and friends and it wouldn't even have to be my birthday.

As has been mentioned here before, many of the most successful entertainers perform at private parties.. and they always have. Money is money. Seems like I've heard that Beyonce, for instance, has performed at private events, and her asking price is more in the One Million dollars per event range... Adam is a bargain by comparison!! But still too expensive for me to hire. Darn it! More power to those who do have the money tho... And that money goes into Adam's pocket so what the heck!!! It pays the bills and some of it goes to his band.. It's all good...

Yes, has an element of sadness to it and yet euphoric at the same time.

@glitzylady
Don't think anyone's complaining about Adam getting gigs and getting payed handsomely - that will guarantee that he will be able to keep entertaining us and take care of the more mundane stuff etc.
But what is sad is that if with the current economical situation the entertainment business turns more and more to the direction of only the rich & richer jamming together with a bunch of carefully selected friends...
