OMG yes the moment that started it all!!!

Anonymous said...

It was a magical finale. Still can't believe that we get a worldwide tour 5 years later.

Anonymous said...

It was the best finale on Idol. And that's where it all started.

A moment in rock history!

For the tour, it would nice if Dr. Brian May did the straightening Brazilian Blow Out on his long frizzy hair. Keeping his natural hair color silver though. He will look like a young iconic legendary rock star. I saw a photoshop picture of him with straight hair awhile ago and he looked very young and sexy. A little guy liner would be cool too.

It was the best finale, but David Cook and ZZ Top were a real close second with Sharp Dressed Man.

Kradam were so hot together. Miss them <3

I just hope I look that good & can do half as much as Dr.May when I get his age.

Who could ever forget this moment? The best ever(IMO)!

Toby's audio radio interview with Michael Orland talking about Adam:

loved Adam's look here. Bring back the black

Idol should have Michael Orland as mentor next season IMO instead of Randy. He is very articulate and musical genius.

I lobe Brian's beautiful wavy hair, gorgeous! Look at how Brian is looking at Adam, with deep admiration; seems to be thinking "man what a talent" the wheels where probably spinning then.

I read somewhere that Adam was the reason they did the show. The rest is current history in the making!!!

3:38 PM here/ meant to say I "love" Brian's hair, sorry, hit wrong key.

@Bing!!!
Where are you? Are you ok?!
Hoping you have time to check the news here... and enough time to relax!

Did you see the post from Fan4fun??!!
(First thread last Sunday...Yahoo something in the headline)
Felt so bad reading of her hardships but was also so happy and relieved to hear from her!!! Wishing she gets stronger by the day and comes back to us (in her own pace, of course).

Stay well & safe, dear Bing!

I betcha Caleb preforming with Kiss won't be wearing the boots like Adam did!!!

Brian's not only a musical genius but an extrememly intelligent guy.

Anonymous said...

@4:26 PM They are going to tower over Caleb and make him look short and fat. I may watch just to see if Kiss would not be so mean to let that happen.

Anonymous said...

@4:36 PM And a totally nice guy, too. No obnoxious ego.

Good AI finale going on right now.

I want to take a class about Astrophysics with Dr. Brian May. He should do an online class via accredited university. I'm sure it will fill up in nanosecond. Dr. Brian May is one in one hundred billion himself. Legendary Musical Genius and PHD in Astrophysics. Who do you know who has all these recognitions? Nobody!

Adam, soak up as much as you can and praise that you are blessed to perform right next to Dr. Brian May.

Looking back five years on, this picture seems intimately meaningful. And yea Brian was already pretty enchanted by Adam; he was smiling at him a lot. Actually Kris sounded rather good with his mellow voice; yea Adam steered it like a fiery rocket out from the blazing stage that fateful night. Adam looked so boyish youngish; no wonder all of us didn't stand a chance, the carpet was 'viciously' pulled from under our feet. lol! Or perhaps like tumbleweeds tumbling all over. lol! The weeds are still tumbling fiercer than ever, not letting go anytime soon. Some may think that Adam was lucky to have performed with Queen but now with QueenBert about to take off like a fiery rocket one more time, I think it's not luck...Adam delivered the beef right at AI's doorstep piping hot. And that alerted Brian and Roger to the 'crime' scene real quick, faster than Sherlock. lol!

JAK here....I'm crazy about Brian's hair....Bri...."don't change a hair for me, not if you care for me".... He's my Arthurian legend Merlin the Wizard.

I'm watching Idol. My opinion.......I think Jena is a Lea Michele clone. Very good voice who over sings most songs. I don't like a song's heart changed just to show off your voice...a 'look what I can do' moment. Idol seems to encourage that. "Make it your own!" They keep saying.
I am obviously off the current music track, but I actually think a song belongs to the writer and the singer should take their intent and sing it. See, off the track!

Caleb has a powerful voice with practically perfect control. His voice and the way he sings the songs are more familiar to my ear, because I was around in the early days of Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin , The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, etc. I love Rock so Caleb appeals to me more. Loved his Family Tree, Edge of Glory and several others. I've been a Rock fan since it's birth in the mid 50's.

However I doubt he will win, it's the days when Pop is the top.....not Rock. So, I think Jena will win

@JAK I agree with you. Caleb is fantastic singer and performer. He rocks the stage. But it's Pop music time. However.....May be this is Time For Miracles!

Yet neither of them can hold a candle to Adam's talent & vocal prowess IMHO

Anonymous said...

I don't compare other singers to Adam. I love a dozen other singers who are also exceptional.....JAK

Adam Lambert posted a new blog on ALF! (SCREEN CAP)

Actually, of all the AI contestants, none can match Adam's uniqueness in terms of voice, voice power, innovation of songs, style and his special talent; this special talent not only in the case of Adam, is a strange brain thing, a gift from God. So far all the brilliant science can't produce this elusive thing called special talent; I think because it is cultured from genes of a long line of talents and suddenly one gets wild and wants to spurt out rather than fall in line. lol!

Why we continue to compare Adam with any singers? And I'm talking about most of the singers in American Music Industry but not just about AI! Adam is one on the billion! Do you remember this little detail? :):):)
Caleb has voice, personality, he is big rocker. However, like JAK said he would win without any doubts at the end of 20th century. And he got f... sh.... song for finale!Again, nobody is trying to compare Caleb with Adam. But I would go to Idol's tour to watch him. And I like him more than Daughtry.

JAK here.....I forgot to mention my favorite of the several songs by Caleb I have already purchased from iTunes.
It's Travelin Band. The writer was certainly influenced by the great early rock songs....it sounds like Little Richard's Long Tall Sally with a little James Brown thrown in. And Caleb's voice is perfect for it. He is pure and simple a rocker.

I danced blisters on my toes and heels to that kind of music, then took off my shoes and danced blisters on the bottom of my feet. It was a glorious time, the color line had finally been broken in Florida and our concerts were sizzling hot.

Along with Little Richard we heard Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Elvis, James Brown,
Bill Haley, Buddy Holley, we danced ourselves limp on Saturday nights and then went to church on Sunday morning to hear our priests or preachers declare it was the devils music and everyone who listened to it was heading straight to hell.

We took the chance!

I forgot about Idol tonight. I voted online in few seconds anyway. Wish both of them good luck.

@JAK

normally I always agree with your posts, but I have to disagree with your one at 6.43pm :))

Whilst I agree Caleb has a good voice, he does nothing for me. I find him boring, and very average, He sings the same, and does exactly the same notes and movements every performance. And he's so dated. The only stuff I can see him doin after Idol, is either performing in bars in a 70's cover band, or being in Rock of Ages.

I really want Jena to win. Whilst her vocals aren't always perfect, she has a lot of charisma and stage presence (at least out of the contestants this year). She reminds me of a cross between Jessie J and Katy Perry, both of who I listen to. Her 'winners' song sounds good, and I think she has a good chance to make it in the pop world.

HK fan....JAK here....Our thoughts are not so far apart.
Caleb doesn't "do" anything for me either, except remind me of early rock singers....I loved and still love that music.

I do think Jena has a good voice and will probably win, but if she is successful in the giant pool of Pop girl singers, who mostly all sound alike, I think it will take a lightning strike.

There are few "originals" today. Adele was the last successful female original I can recall.
