Oh My Gosh, what on earth are all those trucks needed for. I guess on would be for Adams clothes.
Truck n Roll, QUEEN+ADAM!!!
The Convoy, YAY!
I figure only 5 of them are needed for Adam's costumes!!!
1 for boots, 1 for jackets, 1 for shirts, 1 for pants and 1 for jewelry.!!!!!
Is that a joke??I could see them needing maybe 4-5 trucks, but what the heck will be in all the other trucks??ha!We'll see soon if it's true or not...can't believe that, tho.
Maybe Brian means they'll choose one of those rigs( the best one,of course)who knows, tho.(????)
See the Instagram pics I just posted in the next thread! There really ARE 16 trucks!
I'm shaking...This is massive!!! Well, they talked about a big production and it sure looks like it!!!
Are Adam and the band traveling in the trucks? I assume not.
They are filled with sound equipment. lasers, drum kits, instruments, wardrobe for a dozen or so. This is a big deal band - no, make that A BIG DEAL BAND! Adam is getting a invaluable lesson for the future. I'm sure he's soaking it up and storing it away for future reference. atta boy!
For a huge tour 13 trucks are normal. Comparable with Katy P., Rihanna or Madonna.
Adam, Brian and Roger will have a luxury bus or/and flying with a private jet.
I have often wondered about the logistics of those huge productions. Some of my questions are being answered by following Adam. In fact, the path of his development from AI to now has been soooo interesting. I am thrilled that he is having this opportunity to learn from the best. Just think, these guys [Queen] were, I believe, among the first to make these elaborate rock videos that are actually theatrical/light opera productions. Then, of course, Roger and Brian must be thrilled and inspired to be able to create anew with Adam's generation. I recently saw a video of Brian doing a duet with a young hip hop dancer/singer. He was wonderful -- so creative. So, together, I'll bet the 3 of those VERY creative men are going to surprise us. I am very excited and will see them in L.A. I've never gone to one of these big rock concerts (except MJ which was wonderful) but I couldn't resist THIS one. So, I'll let you know :)

anonymous June 11, 2014 at 10:54 PM and June 12, 2014 at 12:12 AM.. you are both so funny.... I guess on truck is enough for Adam's clothes LOL... Axel
I mean , one (1) truck is enough. Axel
Oh my lawd! It must cost a fortune to make mega concert tours happen but it's obviously worth it. :-)
The whole stage and lighting system, trusses, speakers, cables, sound control, pyrotechnics, etc besides instruments and costumes go in those trucks. They have doubles of some things like speakers/amps and plenty of instruments. A lot of it is packed in large boxes to protect it while traveling. There should be lots of trucks. 20-25 is common.
Yes!!Yes!!Yes!!:) Here we go people are you buckled up!!?:) I can feel the excitement for the fans around the world!!!:)
Yes!:) Adam will show the world that he is the one and no one else indeed!!:) Brian and Roger are true believers of Adam's unbelievable talent....
These trucks came from planet fierce he!he!.
Canadian
It seems like this tour is even big as the tour with Paul Rodgers.
The trucks themselves are a show to be seen. We need to gather along the route when they start to roll out.
I keep thinking about those who think Adam shouldn't be a part of this. It's a musician's/vocalist's dream come true. Who wouldn't want to be a part of Queen Will Rock.
DURING ONE OF THEIR INTERVIEWS BRIAN SAID ROGER HAD A VISION OF WHAT HE WANTED THE LIGHTING AND STSGING TO BE LIKE-SO IT PROBABLY TAKES A FLEET OF TRUCK TO CARRY ALLTHE STAGING EQUIPMENT. BRIAN CONCURRED AND SAID IT WAS GOING TO BE HUGH. IT IS AMAZING TO ME HOW THE ROADIES CAN TAKE ALL THE STUFF DOWN AND THEN REASSEMBLE IT THE NEXT DAY ON TIME FOR THE SHOW. I THINK THEY NEED A BIG THANK YOU-SO MUCH TO DO, SO LITTLE TIME.
The "Event" of the decade is about to "Happen"; hold on to your senses!!
you gotta go big or go home. Everything is BIG in the land of GLAMBERT. exciting time in music. FM would give a stamp of approval.
Apparently it is normal on tours this size to have 2, even 3 lots of everything. Whilst 1 lot is being set up and staged in one venue, another set will be driven to the next venue and set up there. I always wondered logistically how they set up, took down, travelled and set up in a new city less than 24 hours later. Having 2 or 3 sets explains a lot.

Remembering this IS Queen so no expense spared.
AND for Adam this kind of experience will be priceless!
OMG it's like a dream come true for humbled me so heaven knows what Adam must be feeling right now!
All I can think is how much their gas bill is going to be ;)

Man, I'm really getting excited now. Vegas baby!
It's funny how little people think of the roadie's who work behind the scenes and make all the effects possible. They work darn hard let alone transporting everything overnight to get to another location clear across the country to make it all happen.
Sounds exciting but gets old...but
in the case of Queen and Adam this has to be a biggy!
It's totally normal for the set to be put up or torn down in a couple hours. They don't have multiple versions driving around.
They probably never get to see the show. It would be a good time to get in some sleep.
No wonder concert tickets cost so much! Everyone involved has to be paid. It's a huge endeavor with lots of workers. Adam will end up with a nice chunk of change for sure.
How many times a day do you guys think Adam is pinching himself wondering if this isn't a fantasy after all?
Of course there are 16 trucks....that's how they roll. I am so excited seeing all those trucks. It will definitely be a show and concert to remember for a life time!!!! Keep 'em rolling, boys!!! Straight to Madison Square Garden!!!

Queen toured for 2 yrs straight at one point. Masters at this sort of production. At least 2 stages, one in use, one being set up at next venue. When last note is played, that stage is immediately being broken down and put back on trucks. The book by Peter Hince, "Queen Unseen", details all the movements by people and equipment required to get the show on the road. Peter worked with Queen, for over 12 years and was Freddie and John's roadie and head of Queen's crew. He also wrote about taking along all the items required to ensure the band's comfort in each venue's dressing room (s). Even the catered food and drinks is accounted for, alongwith what must be provided at each venue by the promoter.
With all these rigs, maybe luxury buses or rvs, private jet, I wish safe travels to all as they journey from city to city across the country. This looks like a major production and I got a kick out of comments about needing all these rigs for Adam's costumes, shoes, etc. I guess that's the reason tickets might seem to be a little high because of all the equipment, rigs, costumes and staff that have to be covered and of course, the money paid for each member of Queen and then Adam. Hopefully most venues are sold out or close to sell out and that this tour will do very well financially for all involved.
My brother is one of the roadies and also will be the backup driver in one of the trucks. He told me that there are 3 sets of everything (stages, props, clothing, instruments, sound and lighting equipment, etc) so there will never be a glitch. The venues are set up in advance so this will be the only time you will see all 16 trucks together until the tour is over. While venue #1 is being set up by trucks 1-5, trucks 6-10 are at venue #2 setting up and trucks 11-15 are at venue #3 ready to set up. After the concert at venue #1 is over, trucks 1-5 are reloaded and head to venue #4 while venue #3 is setting up. He said it's like a game of leapfrog and is extremely efficient, but at the same time it's hard work. He is excited to be working this tour with Queen and AL. Oh and he said the pay is r e a l l y good for this tour. He didn't say and I forgot to ask about truck 16. I'll call him and find out and let you know what he says. I don't even want to hazzard a guess. BTW my brother only works the US and Canada for this and the other other artists he works for and usually works 2 different tours a year. He likes to have lots of time off with his family in their beautiful home in the burbs of Kansas City.
@1.28pm
Thanks for the clarification...it really makes sense now.
wow, I'm very impressed that your brother is a roadie. I actually wrote on another site, that seeing all those trucks actually brought it home to me how hard the roadies have to work.
I really hope he enjoys working with Adam and Queen.
@1:28 Thanks so much for filling us in on all the details! If you have more to share down the road, please share. :) Sounds like a pretty efficient operation.
