I kind of think your album Trespassing was ahead of its time by a year or so. It had Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams on it, then a year later Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" blew up, and now Nile and Pharrell are everywhere…

Adam's response:
You know, it's funny. I think what's funny about the music business, that I've learned kind of the hard way, is that part of it is the music — you have to have good songs, obviously, or else your product isn't there — but so much of it is about timing and positioning. The business of music is really tricky, and everything has to kind of work in unison, in harmony, to make for a successful release. And that's just something I'm still learning about. I think with this one coming up, without being able to give away all the details of the business plan, it's a much different situation: different label, different producers, different people involved, different management. It's all going to be a different ballgame, so I'm really excited.

I like how they seemed to quote Adam exactly how he speaks. It appears that they didn't edit it as some other translated (written from the conversation) interview's do.

Sorry I wasn't able to post the interview (and the label reference) when I first heard about it.. I was just finishing up at work, for some reason my iPhone wouldn't let me read the article until I downloaded the Yahoo! app.. (sheesh!!) And then I hit traffic due to an earlier accident on my route (on a bridge no less...).. So Thanks to @Lambertlust for posting the link here on this thread.. As soon as I got home, i also posted the link to the article and some excerpts..

I thought we were going to have some info, as to who the label is. We had already read the interview on another site.

My favorite word of the day is LABEL! Nice to hear it from Adam himself.

I HATE FAN DRIVEN POLLS!!! I think people who dream these up should be boiled in oil! as a starter. They are a royal pain in the rear. If course we feel compelled to make sure Adam wins. The evil people behind these polls know it and are having a good laugh at our expense.
