Interesting. I wouldn't have ever thought she paid enough attention to Adam to be able to say this.

Congrats to @stylistjenrade on the amazing costumes for the #Queen tour and @AdamLambert. Brilliant job!!!!! You are so awesome! Love you!

Sylist Jen Rade...does she also design and sell on QVC? I could swear I saw her on the show recently and I know that Lisa Rinna also sells her clothes line on the show. Just a bit of trivia as I read the tweet by Rinna. And, yes, the costumes that Adam wears are amazing and he looks so great in them.

Priscilla Presley was my era; I still remember distinctly the announcement of her marriage to Elvis, on our local newspaper. Now we seem to meet again, virtually that is, in Adam's era, to me. So perhaps an Elvis comeback concert...that'll be really interesting; I like Elvis songs, his style, his low tenor; Mmm perhaps we'll be able to hear some high Adam leggiero on a few of those songs. Don't worry, Adam will keep Elvis intact like what we see at QueenBert with Freddie. I'd like Adam sing Jailhouse Rock, Blue Suede Shoes etc. lwl!

Adam probably got to know Priscilla when he did a photoshoot for The Shades of Elvis Book. Nice tweet.

So many famous people love Adam! They know an icon when they see/hear him! It makes me so proud of Adam!

I also thought after the Queen show, where Adam made a couple of Elvis moves, that it would be great to have him do some Elvis covers! I was wondering if Priscilla might be thinking the same thing, and come up with some show for Adam!

Word is security is taking cameras from people or making them take them back to their rooms for tonight's show.

Cont'd...If such an event materialises, only Queen will help Adam deliver it ! It's not just about singing Elvis songs, QueenBert has taken on a life of their own in the sense, they know exactly how to reinvent these old classic Rock songs. So it'll be QueenBert reinventing ElvisBert. lwl! Also Queen is closer to Elvis' era so their music repertoires probably overlap a bit.

Yea, Queen people are pretty strict, they know what they are doing and in any case, there's going to be a QueenBert DVD so they have to keep things in proper order in case of imitations. Yea, QueenBert DVD will be a sell-out...also eastwards after their debut in two huge cities.

I'll be so pissed if they take my camera....will they take phones? They take pic's too.......it's ridiculous.

No Elvis covers for Adam. Adam is his own person and a great entertainer without having to do covers. I want Adam's new music.

Good Grief! The idea of Adam doing an Elvis comeback concert!!! That is the worst idea ever. You think Queen fans protested at Adam doing Freddie's songs?

There would be bloodshed if Adam attempted to do Elvis. Elvis was not in the Classic Rock genre he was Country. And the thought of Queen doing the music is ludicrous.

Memphis and Nashville would have riots in the streets!
Utterly ridiculous. Worst idea ever.

Not to mention that Adam would scream "No" loud enough to be heard coast to coast. He's not going to step into anyone's shoes. And he's certainly not going to sing country.

He has a career as Adam Lambert -remember????

Elvis Presley was not country - he was rock 'n roll!

Anonymous said...

That was what I thought...Elvis, King of Rock-n-Roll. Adam at the moment is Red Leopard King of Glam Rock. lwl!

Elvis was a country singer, he sang rock-a-billy with the Louisana Hayride circuit. Then he sang rock n roll and gospel music but never classic rock.

In person he was as country as you can get.

Unless Adam has made a drastic change in the direction and the new album will be rock, he is not any kind of King of Rock. He is a singer who can sing rock. There's a really big difference. I don't believe he wants to be known as a rocker, I think he is still set on pop as a genre choice.

Btw - Lam-my. Queen and Elvis repertoires don't overlap at all .

Adam looks so content in his blue sapphire crown
Bestowed with pride on him by Brian
A veteran of his magical guitar and an astrophysicist
Can't get any more substantial than this
Brian means it from the bottom of his heart
Though it's mostly fun but not a farce
Yea Adam merits that shimmering crown
Matches his shimmering vibrato, his rock-scream trounce
That shatters chandelier due to same frequency sound lwl!

A King wears a crown...doesn't he? For real or not, King of what, does not matter to me. lwl!
Like Freddie and Adam sing in Bohemian Rhapsody...Nothing really matters to me...Any way the wind blows...

This thread is officially "ole wives' tales" and @Priscilla, the name is NOT Freddy! For the gazillionth time, it's Freddie!!!!!!!

Adam sings Queen, Adam sings Elvis .... who else can Adam sing?!?! Enough already!!

As much as I like this Queen-tour and everything that it brings and gives to Adam I'm beginning to long for his own songs. I would be thrilled if he was touring and sang Trespassing, Outlaws of love, Shady, Broken English, BTIKM, WWFM, Underneath etc. And also Runnin', even once live. I love his own songs. OFC the Queen-songs are brilliant and he makes excellent job but maybe I've heard now enough of them.

Even though this Queenbert summer tour is a spectacular success, I, also, want to hear Adam singing his own music. I know there has been so much talk about a third album, and I am anxiously waiting to hear more about it once the tour with Queen is over. Hopefully all the positive reviews about Adam and Queen will bring a greater audience to Adam's own music with this third album. So no more talk about Elvis cover songs or any other covers. Let's just hear Adam perform his own songs in his powerfully captivating voice and style.

The QAL tour is not even half way and you sound bored already. Please live in the now, there is so much to enjoy and something different in every show!

I trust most fans want to hear Adam's music and wait for the new record. However, facts are facts and I'm going to enjoy this tour each and every day they are performing. Eagerly waiting and hoping for vids and pics...The fun and cameraderie in their performing seems to increase with every concert, so cool & entertaining!

Another great tribute and this time from Priscilla Presley. Adam just keeps wowing everyone.... everywhere he entertains.

Priscilla Presley lived with an American Icon of music. Elvis Presley was the American dream. Mississippi raised but Tennessee bred. He loved glamorous things but stayed very true to where he came from. Elvis wasn't proud. I hope Adam follows his example. Be true to yourself, but show gratitude to your audience. They have a similar story I think.

@5:51AM
Sorry, but that is how I (4:58AM) feel.

That's okay. I watch a few of my favorites from vids available and then watch a couple favorites from Idol, FYE, then a few from Trespassing, then covers of Stay and Is This Love.

I am a super longtime Queen fan but I easily get overdosed so I mix it up!

I think Adam has Freddie runnin' through his veins. He rocks those songs HARD. Wish Adam and Queen would do new original material together.

Brian did not bestow the crown to Adam, Adam bestowed it to himself as part of his costume. When the concert was over, during the bows, God Save the Queen was played, so Adam took off the crown and held it to his chest, as one would take off their hat in respect. Then he gave his royal waves, then Brian simply placed it back.

No "bestowing".

6:36 AM. You must not know much about Elvis if you think he and Adam were similar in ANY way. Adam is grounded, Elvis was a mess and it killed him. He had triumph but ended in tragedy.

Anonymous said...

Yeah.. Elvis died at 42 years old, Freddie died at 45 years old.. Hoping for a long quality life for Adam.... Axel

Yes I know the sequence of events and am also aware the crown was part of the costume. You can't possibly think I thought Brian was deliberately crowning Adam. And that's why I've never used the word crowning. Bestowing is my way of describing how Brian placed the crown back on Adam when he took it off for the final bow. But I thought it was Brian's way of saying Adam was indeed the King of the show and the people applauded loudly at Brian's genuine gesture. Also, I've seen a picture of young Adam in a Freddie costume, wearing a crown and so that probably was picked up as part of the costume. It's my interpretation of Brian's genuine gesture of placing / bestowing the crown on Adam at the final bow and there was thunderous applause, the audience agreed Adam was the 'King'.
You should have clarified with me first rather than assume I didn't know what was happening and merrily explain unnecessarily.
