That Is a lot of folks. Guess Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand will require just as many. If the tour uses the same format as the North America tour did. And planes instead of trucks. Or perhaps, boats :-). Or maybe, planes, trucks and boats. I'll bet the person in charge of all of it is super busy.

the overhead on these shows is amazing I don't see how the main entertainers make much of a profit but I guess they do.

I posted this comment on a previous thread, but here it is again. It's about the few commentary appearing here on 24/7.
"I agree that I miss the comments too and the signing in is probably the reason. I even miss those comical trolls as well. They were always a hoot. But we are all different and we are entitled to an "opinion". Maybe the mentioned changes will help those feel their privacy is in jeopardy. Welcome to all who contribute here. It's all about peace and love through Adam."

I have missed a few regulars, who have always used a name.

Wonder if Adam is going home for a couple of weeks. I think he has something to do in NY on the 10th of August. After N.Z. he might be home, or go back to Sweden to work on his album again. Brian mentioned they might be doing more touring at the end of this year, and going into the beginning of next year. It's in the thinking stages about doing an album with Brian, Roger, and Adam. Seems like his 3rd album might stay on the back burner for a little longer.

I wonder what Adam may be doing in NY on August 10th? I'm also wondering what he will do with this time between tours. Maybe a little work on A3, but there doesn't seem to be much time unless he has it already schedule. God knows his vocal chords are warmed up!

I like the new sign-in on this site. I know it will take time to get some of the old posters back and gain new ones, but I think it's worth it. The problem wasn't with simple differences of opinion. The problem was overtly rude and often disgusting comments that no one should have to put up with. This site will thrive again in time.

Wanting more Q+AL concerts! Want A3 to get done! Want to see Adam in more media of all kinds. I'm such a greedy fan, but I can't help it. And yes, this picture does show how expensive these big tours are. Everyone has to be paid. I hope Adam is making a good chunk of money from this tour, and I suspect he is.

All the regular workers get union wages, which I don't think is very high. I read that it takes two people to help Adam in and out of his costumes, and make sure he has his jewelry etc. I would be interested in what all these people actually do. Some jobs must be quite simple while others may be more complicated. Some have multi tasks. It takes quite a crew to get the stage together, and taking it down, those people put in very long hours at each venue. But I have to say, they all seem to do a good job. I don't know if it was perfect, only the performers would be able to answer that.

I think Adam is giving a reward for the best meme of how they are living proud, and of course they get to meet him. He has been asking for people to send their meme to him.
Ha ha, I don't know what a meme is. Is it like a selfie video?

Hi Anne Marie! In our day.....a meme was like a slogan poster that caught on and got put up EVERYWHERE.....

I believe Keep Calm and Carry On from the 1940's in England when they were expecting to be invaded....has carried on now for decades......in every form!!!

Adam's meme is an empowerment message.....sort of like
Come "Out" and Be Proud! Only much more clever than that! I hope we get to see some of the best!

JAK, Thank you for the history lesson, the funny thing about that is I am your age, and from the UK and hadn't ever heard of a meme. :)

I think part of reason there are less people commenting is what went on here the day the signing in started. There were several people complaining of the uneven use of deleting. Rude comments about Adam were left while comments an admin didn't like were deleted with no explanation.

Another reason is it's a PITA to sign in so its not worth doing that to make a comment.

I miss what this site was a couple of years ago.

What is an Internet meme?

An Internet meme is a cultural phenomenon that spreads from one person to another online.

A meme spread online could be just about anything that is voluntarily shared, including phrases, images, rumors and audio or video files. An Internet meme might originate and stay online. However, frequently memes cross over and may spread from the offline world to online or vice-versa.

Examples of Internet memes include:

LOLcats -- images of cats with semi-literate captions, such as "I can has cheezeburger?"
DogShame - images of dogs wearing signs around their necks.

The sign in requirement has been in the works for some time.. It unfortunately became necessary. And the time has come.. It wasn't just one day that prompted the Administrator of the blog to go to a sign in.. She felt there was no choice but to do so... Many people who used to comment had left, out of frustration. And it looked as if that might continue...

It is a very rare internet blog any more, where some sort of sign in is not a requirement.. It isn't that hard to sign in and once signed in, it's a piece of cake to comment..

Each moderator/admin is responsible for their own threads.. Although the owner/Admin of the blog has complete control of ALL threads.. Once in awhile a comment can disappear unexpectedly or a comment can accidentally be deleted. Rare, but unfortunately true..

We are all hoping the new way of doing things will ultimately make this a better, safer, and friendlier place to talk about and cheer for Adam..

I too miss what the site was a couple of years ago.. People were respectful of each other, and of Adam. We had fun here.. We were lighthearted and excited about the endless possibilities for Adam.. And then the negativity crept in.. slowly and then more quickly..

That is exactly why things had to change...

We're hoping that as people become used to the new format, we'll see an increase in comments AND in the number of people who have registered to comment. It will obviously take some time..

I miss the way this site was a couple years ago too but that place left the station long ago. It's a no brainer if you have been coming here even a few months why it had to be done. Good luck 24/7 this is a great place.

The trolls went unchecked for too long and drove many people away. The uneven handling of what was deleted upset more people. I think some people are still unable to sign in as no warning was given and no instructions were given on how to create an account.

I asked glitzylady three times why my comment that said nothing bad about anybody, had no profanity nor sexual component was deleted. She never answered me, not even with the bogus "accidentally deleted."

Whether I stay will depend on how things are handled in the future. Will trolls be deleted? Will this comment be deleted?

This site was unbearable for too long and I think it was a good decision to let people sign in.
Hopefully people come back and we are getting some civil discussions.
