After blasting the eardrums of fans around the globe with his powerhouse voice and fronting one of the most iconic rock n’ roll bands of all time, you’d think Adam Lambert might be ready to give singing a rest.
But instead, the guys he fronted this summer have stepped into the spotlight, to sing Adam’s praises. The members of Queen decided to open up recently, to Ultimate Classic Rock, and share their sentiments about what touring with Adam as their frontman meant to the band.
Drummer Roger Taylor of Queen said the guys had a “great experience” touring with Adam. Then he touted Adam’s theatrical talents as “the greatest.”
“[The tour] was about four months,” Taylor said, “because we went to Asia and Australia, as well. I have to say, it was just great!
“You know, we got on so well with Adam,” he admitted. “He fitted in so well with us, and he brought so much to the show. [Adam’s] such a great frontman. And he looked great and he sings beautifully! And his style is very suited to our music…
“You know,” Taylor said, “it’s pretty theatrical music, some of our stuff.”
Then when asked to sum Adam up, Roger added: “He’s the greatest.”
Taylor also added that he can’t wait to hit the stage with Adam again, when the next leg of their world tour kick-starts.

I'm just smiling all over when I see either Brian or Roger gushing over Adam....I don't blame them a bit:))))
I bet the next tour in the UK & Europe will be just as spectacular as the North American, Asia, Australia and NZ. They'll probably make a few changes and I can't wait to see what they are. Looking forward to all the vids (hopefully!)
As much as I'm anticipating Era 3 with Adam, I would really, really love a hear a recording with this iconic band and Adam's voice, the greatest (to quote Roger )......waiting patiently.
I wish Brian would write another 'knock your socks off' ballad like WWTLF for Adam to wrap his tonsils around......as much as I love rock, R&B, jazz, even country....(sorry -- it's in my blood)....I love big ballads.
I spent a few years going to operettas on a regular basis as a young teen and my mind casts Adam as the lead in all those larger than life performances I used to see.
Spec-tac-u-lar!
