INTERESTING & THOUGHT-PROVOKING MUSINGS OF A QUEEN FAN CLUB MEMBER:

THIS IS THE QUEEN CREST AS DESIGNED BY FREDDIE MERCURY:

The history of the Queen Crest (above)

"Freddie Mercury designed the crest. It shows the Q for Queen with a crown, two lions , a crab and two fairies representing the zodiac signs of the band members leo (Roger and John), cancer (Brian) and virgo (Freddie). On top of the Q you have the Phoenix, the bird of classical Greek mythology, who rose from the ashes symbolizing immortality, resurrection and life after death."

"Just the late night ramblings of an old man, but it made me smile."

@david lopez - Thank you for the whole post. It takes time to appreciate life's bigger and smaller things equally... The last sentence in your post struck a cord (made me tear up) as I lay in bed with my own "severe bronchitis"... No ramblings at all, life experience and ability to put things into perspective, to dream and to enjoy... Cheers, David!

@David Lopez-Beautiful post! I truly admire people that are able to look deeper in to the normal facade of the tangible to expose the intangible. Your musings are an excellent example of this gift. Millions have gazed at the QUEEN'S crest, but you dissected the perfection of its meaning. Please keep on musing late at night! Margarita Lady

@david Lopez. Thank you so much for the extremely insightful post! I've never known the meaning behind the Queen crest so the explanation was very meaningful to me. Adam has definitely breathed new life into the band with every ounce of his energy, talent and obvious joy in performance. He is fearless and powerful. Your thoughts of symbolism of Adam representing the Phoenix are amazing! Loved your post !

I wonder if the Phoenix will be Adam's next tattoo?

Adam has one pose, where he looks like a phoenix, with his arms raised and looks like feathers hanging down.
His improv he does with Brian, is also something Freddie did. I love Adam's, not so much Freddies.

Thanks glitzylady but that is Queen's FB and I'm looking for the OIQFC page (that's where the comment was from.)

I wish people would include links with their screencaps.

Sorry.. I'm at work so had just a moment.. If a link doesn't show up before, I'll find it for you after work (real life gets in the way of 'berting sometimes!!!)

I understand that Adam went to see the Astronomical clock in Prague today. I am sure he got pictures, that we will probably see on his IG. There are many historical things to see in Prague, also.

Ah, David Lopez, you are a Queen fan who embraces the old and the new. Thank you! You're not afraid to say that this new incarnation of Queen is what helps keep the legacy vibrant and alive for a whole new generation. I love the phoenix idea. Adam has truly brought a new Queen to life.

Kind of strange, but Adam's mouth in the picture resembles a bird's beak, down to the hook used by the bird to rip its prey apart. I've never seen that before in other pictures of him.
