Review: Queen and Adam Lambert rock a sell-out Sheffield Motorpoint Arena at close of European tour

"It was an experience to remember and treasure. The sell-out last night of Queen’s European tour, with America’s new superstar Adam Lambert filling Freddie Mercury’s shoes. Not that anyone could replace Freddie, but the boy came very close."
"Clad by turns in leather and studs, gold fringing, tartan trews and leopardskin with a diamante crown, Adam Lambert is as much of a showman as Freddie ever was. Original band members Brian May and Roger Taylor stuck to sober black and let the music do the talking, while the other band members just quietly got on with it. Well, maybe not quietly..."

Fantastic review, Queen and Adam are awesome! Love the part about Americas superstar, they have that right. What an amazing ride this has been and I know it isn't over.

Fabulous Superstar by the name of Adam M. Lambert. To me, he was always a superstar; from the moment I laid eyes on him around six years ago on Idol! About time the world recognized it!!
So very, very, very proud of Adam!
As Roger Taylor said, "he is one in a Billion"!

So elated and happy for all who were part of this exceptional heart warming Once in a Lifetime Tour, Queen+Adam, the guys in the band, all the crew making this tour possible, all the people who had the chance to experience this spectacle LIVE (so many even soooo many times!) and all the people sitting at their computers, iPads, mobiles eagerly participating through live streams... This tour has been a feast of love for iconic, generation binding and timeless music, cameraderie and (to semi-quote Brian) living dangerously...doing it all LIVE!
So much LOVE & RESPECT in my heart for all these people, especially for ADAM, Brian, Roger, Neil, Spike and Rufus - THANK YOU for the music, for the enthusiasm and for believing in what you do & how you do it!
Hopefully some day I will be able to experience the joy of QAL LIVE myself...

What an end to a historic tour! This "rebirth" tour will be in the annals of rock history with Adam's name prominently included. It's so great to know that Adam is Brian and Roger's choice for future frontman, wherever and whenever they perform. B&R can continue to play for as long as they choose. They can call it quits whenever they feel ready. Adam will be there for them to keep the music and the magic alive.
My darlings, QUEEN + ADAM LAMBERT, you accomplished your mission! Your fans became supersonic men and women in each and every city that you graced. May G-d and the Universe continue to bless you for the magical happiness and tears of joy that you embedded in our hearts and psyches for the quieter days that lie ahead, UNTIL, our sex machine, Adam, reloads and unloads his new TOH single in April, which will cause all Glamberts , world over, to explode! What an amazing journey on which you took us through Europe, and thank you for the first class tickets to board your dynamic rocket ship. We adore you to the depths and heights of love. The amazing ride that Adam had with Queen may be over for now, but it is only the beginning for America's superstar to continue his journey with the release of his third album and its first single. The ORIGINAL HIGH, the title of the new album, has been and always will be the music. Adam was born to perform with that powerhouse voice and a mesmerizing stage presence. We saw it every night during the concerts with Queen in front of sold out audiences and to overwhelmingly positive, impressive reviews. Adam has conquered the UK and Europe with Queen and as we have read, So. America is clamoring for them to come there in the fall. I am grateful for all the vids and pics that have been shown on this site from all the concerts. It is actually the next best thing to being there. I think that 2015 will be the best year yet for Adam and this concert tour is just the first step on his journey to super stardom. Congrats to Queen and Adam for showing everyone a rockin' good time.
