Other stories are about set design with the Q, lighting, lasers, video etc. Very interesting and worth downloading.

@ScorpioBert might be in trouble for using someone's artwork without permission for her background.

Please make sure you have the original artist's permission before using their work.

I know people don't like this comparison, but this picture of Adam reminds me of the western movie Charro that Elvis did back in 1969. The look is very similar esp. if Adam is wearing a western style hat. Check it out.

Hopefully a lesson was learned here - don't steal other's work!

Another lesson use a watermark.You would think the artist would love the exposure, I still have art on my wall from artists that I got enthused about from Adam. Oh well I have already forgot about her and her work.

Yes I was quite aware the picture was put together by computer graphics; yes one must always get permission from the artist and also state his/her name; it's respect for someone's brain! The brush strokes and lighting effects are professional. In this regard, Adam is fully aware and sensitive...like I sometimes say, no flicking!

5:50 PM, you are really rude. Having your artwork stolen and altered (to black & white and then cropped) is not good exposure. Nobody would have known if a fan hadn't figured it out, also not good exposure. It's a shame your first thought is she should have watermarked it rather than why would somebody use it uncredited. Brushing her off because she didn't say "oh, it's for Adam? Never mind." says what kind of a rude and self-centered person you are. I hope you don't have any artists in your family.

Good glad to hear she didn't get good exposure, calling Adam a pop artist thief was uncalled for he asked on Twitter where the town came from. Don't be so nosey about my family.lol

I shouldn't be surprised when I see somebody here so intent on Adam as the center of the universe that they miss the actual details of the story and can't be reasonable.

Adam is the center of many people's universe.

I personally think the artist may have overreacted just a bit. If it had been me, I would have been excited to have a world famous singer/performer using my art. He publicly and politely asked whose art it was.. If she'd taken the time to read his Twitter time line, she could have let him know, politely.. Instead of insulting him and accusing him of being an art thief.. Short sighted and rude. Unbelievable.. Opportunity lost, imho. Nothing like alienating a kind and generous man..


By the way, I understand copyrights, etc... etc.. but there are ways of handing that situation, and the artist failed in my opinion...

The artist is under no obligation to be 'flattered' about anyone stealing their art. I sure wouldn't be. Getting permission is pretty damn important. And if you look at the original image comments on dA, you'll also see the artist has explicitly denied permissions in the past, which just makes it worse.

Adam was clearly not aware of the artist's wishes. And it is also possible that @ScorpioBert was not aware of it either .who knows where she happened upon it. Possibly from a site that was not the artist's. We should never assume anything.

I stand by my comments above.. Misunderstandings happen and calling someone an art thief without full understanding of the circumstances is unfortunate and even slanderous.

Adam appreciated the artwork. I sincerely hope the artist appreciated his unspoken nod to her artistry.

He is a good man and his posting her artwork without permission and uncredited was unintentional.

Arrogance has nothing to do with it, at least on his part.

The whole episode is really a shame to be honest.

Definitely Adam is no art thief; still the person who did take someone's art and tear it apart cannot be absolved of blame. It's as good as saying the motorcyclist who knocked someone down on a zebra-crossing, never meant for it to happen; he will be charged nonetheless because it was on a zebra-crossing. Flicking someone's art without permission and altering it cannot be condoned! But Adam is too honest and open to be a thief of any sort.

Glitzylady.....not quite exactly because you seem to think it's okay for a person to flick and alter someone's art "unintentionally". This is not acceptable, intentional or not...regarding the person who actually altered someone's art without permission; no blame should be accorded Adam...he didn't do it.

Glitzylady.....It is what it implies...that it's okay to use someone's altered art. To me, it's not acceptable. Adam knows this and quickly took it down / removed it when he found that out later. But you think it's okay and the artist could be happy her altered art is being used without her permission. If it was okay, why did Adam take it down so quickly? Adam knows full well using art altered by someone without permission is not right.

Nah, Adam probably figured the person who made the manip got permission first, so I don't blame him at all.

However, I'm a little more skeptical when it comes to using someone else's work to for gain without permission. The person who made the manip should have DEFINITELY asked first.
