  1. "I tried to believe in God and James Dean, but Hollywood Sold Out"...

Sounds idiotic lyrics I must say...

  2. The lyrics of a song aren't a big deal to me but the melody is. If I don't like the melody, I don't like the song, no matter how good the lyrics are.

  3. Not to me I think they are great :)

I must say, way to be supportive, NOT! What a idiotic statement to make and might I add moronic. As my dear old and very wise grandmother always used to say-if you don't have anything worth saying then no one is going to hear you anyways. Really!! Geez it's one sentence, move on already.

  5. I wonder if the song is about the breakup with Sauli, leaving Adam's heart a ghost town.

Is there an interview today? Maybe they will ask about the meaning.

  6. Yes, there is an interview today. Can't wait to hear it. I think the lyrics to GT are mysterious and intriguing. Sometimes I like songs that make me think and use my brain. Can't wait to hear the whole tbing. Apparently, lots of radio people love the song.

  7. @5:45 Yes there is an interview today at 1:30 Maxwellhouse. Z100 I believe.

    You heard it.

  9. I hope Adam didn't write my heart is a ghost town. That is just such a heart breaking thing to think he was so hurt by the break up.

  16. I saw on another Adam fansite a link to a wiki page that had been made to compile GT reviews, thought some of you may be interested:

I don't anything about how it will be kept up, updated, etc., sorry.

glitzy just posted the Digital Spy review in it's own thread moments ago (yay :), it'd definitely worthy of it's own thread, it's a good one!)... but in case that wiki page link doesn't get it's own thread, it's kinda cool, I was just checking it out a bit more closely, just fyi in case anyone is interested.

Enjoy the good Adam news, I know I am :)

  18. Cool tweets & exciting reviews much more interesting to focus on than pot stirring, just my POV. :)

  19. "My heart is a ghost town". I don't think he means that his heart is broken. His heart is empty = he is no longer in love.

  20. Which break up? Adam was really broken up about his very first love and that breakup. I don't thing anything hurt as much as that, which he implied years ago.

Every song is not about Sauli, come on people. Adam is a man, he can handle things; don't worry.

From my understanding, it was a mutual between Adam and Sauli and they are still very close.

I think that Adam is not singing about anyone in particular. He has said that this song I more about how it makes each person hearing it feel maybe about their own life experiences.

Probably where he may or may not be in his life at the time he wrote this with his co-writers.
Hopefully now, he is in a very happy place. At least he seems to be from all appearances!

  21. How do you know he is not in love; have you talked to him lately????

You know that Adam does not talk about his personal life to fans anymore; if he choses to do so then we will know. Until then, we know nothing, no matter how much we pretend to!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Agree, Adam wrote these songs almost a year ago! He may be in a totally different place since then! He seems much happier now!

  23. this song was written by sterling fox and then tweaked by adam and his team. He didn't write it at all. It's about nothing.

But if there are some songs he wrote they could be about anyone. Sauli was so long ago, I'm sure he has been in love a couple times since they broke up, even tho he isn't in love now according to what he said during the queen shows. Adam is a guy who falls in ~love a lot.

No offense, I imagine you're not American, neither am I. I'm nonetheless a huge fan of Great American Movies/Actors, James Dean is a legend, 3 movies , only 3 made him the emblem, the epitome of rebellious teenagers.Revolt against conformism, pretension, family compromises, greed bears a name, James Dean.
There are 21 books about J.Dean, and a movie directed by R.Altman, Come Back to the 5 and Dime, Jimmy Dean... .

  25. Adam said MM and hiself wrote the album. Of course there are co writers. This Sterling guy wrote the demo. We have absolutely no idea how much they kept of the original or changed it.

Adam most likely will be on the credits of most of these songs. Adam has also said none of the album is personal. He said this one is for the people , for the fans nothing personal. It's not about Adam love life.

Adam does not strike me as one who falls in love all the time. When he falls he may fall hard but not that often. Sure he dates does not mean he in love with every one he dates.

  26. @8:37 AM
I agree. It was mutual break up with Sauli and also with Drake. Adam trust them and is still their friend.

    @9:04 AM
Good point. Some song could be about Bridger. Are they no longer friends?

and some, true good fans even, are discussing silliness and biting at troll bait. Troll bait is not necessarily a comment @ April 13 3:57, I am not suggesting that, I can believe some devout fan might honestly feel that way... to me it is so obvious which comments are designed to inflame and ignite foolishness, and fans with the proper motives participating here have to exercise self control and not bite, imho. That is my own personal POV. Those of us here for the right reasons have to ignore imho. JMO. Peace

  28. From what Adam said, this album is written for the people, and they can interpret it to their own lives. It is not about him. He also knows these types of songs are written to appeal to the masses. Everyone is writing about love songs and break ups, that is what sells. MM has a team of writers in Amsterdam, who all worked with Adam, and yes he has had his input on all the songs. So it counts that he is a cowriter on all of them. Actually Sauli visited him on several week ends while he was in Amsterdam. I doubt that Adam wrote anything that might refer to his own life and experiences., unlike Swift who did, over her breakup with a boyfriend.

  29. From what I have gathered in previous interviews and how The Original High came about, I'm sure there are personal references to the lyrics. I sure hope so. Didn't Adam say that he had a heart to heart with MM and where he's at etc prior to getting the project started? Adam also admitted in one of the interviews that there are sides of him that he's not very proud of and that things haven't turned out the way he expected them to be. I don't want to go to deep but I think that showing some vulnerability isn't a bad thing at all. Unless he makes it too gay related, many music listeners will likely be able to connect with the lyrics, especially if there's room for interpretation.

  30. Oh no, not too gay!

  31. @Anne Marie
Re making music it was in Stockholm, not Amsterdam. Adam and Sauli met in Amsterdam when he was there performing with Queen.

  32. All I know is Adam said the Album is not personal it is for the fans the people. He said this very clearly in an interview. He said this album for the fans it's not personal.

  33. @6:13
I stand corrected, yes it was Stockholm, and Sauli was there on week ends, there are pictures of him with Adam. He was also at Amsterdam, that was where they skated.
