This is really fun video! Kind of says it all. Thanks.

Just dropping this tidbit on the most recent thread - it's a very nice, smooth, "listenable" edit for the GT snippets, imho anyway. It was getting a lot of praise on another Adam site, I thought some readers here might enjoy it, my apologies if it's alreaedy been posted:

TYSM I really enjoyed this

Sorry the comment by Dr. May

"and the other guy"

no disrespect but this one made me chuckle

I loved it! It brought back some great memories of the QAL tour....a nicely made fan video :)

For those worried about Sterling Fox and his release of Ghost Town, please see this cap @14gelly did. He said "my version is the original demo..throwing out later in the summer for fun. not a big deal"

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CCDpqA1W8AEznpr.png

Unfortunately the people harassing him on twitter has caused him to delete all his tweets now.

I know Glamberts can get over-zealous, but I think Sterling should have known better. JMO. that did he expect?

A lovely stroll down Memory Lane. It put a smile on my face. Many thanks.

Hmmm.... #AdamLambertDay.... Very Cool!

-- I'm really liking the sound of that!

Thank you for the link and info 8:09AM :))))

Dee R Gee, totally out of line for fans to question him on who he is and why is he doing this.

We have no idea what goes on behind the scenes and what agreements have been made.

It is not our job to police the rollout of the single and album.

If fans had a problem with this non-issue they could have tweeted Shosh and asked her what was going on and if it was OK.

Behavior like this just gives people a bad taste about working with Adam.

yada said...

Yep Dee R Gee ... I can see why you posted that. Adam Lambert putting out a singe after all this time is HUGE to many.... And Glamberts have waited a long time for this....

In all the fan fare and excitement .... Sensitivities toward this sort of thing with Fox seems to make sense that it would happen.

Hoping it won't be a real issue and "not a big deal" as he has said....

-- And we can move forward. :-)))

I haven't read the tweets or replies... Though I do believe It's always right and wise for Glamberts to handle ourselves honorably and respectfully in any situation, of course.

And for me to get back to the topic of this thread.... What a great video! So enjoyed it.
... Walking down memory lane with QAL is oh, so sweet.

Thank you for posting this, glitzy! :)

Sadly, it does make sense that some fans would behave like this. Unnecessary over reaction to perceived threats is not new, just embarrassing. There is no way Mr. Fox could have anticipated being questioned by Adam's fans.

Glamberts need to take a step back and let the people Adam pays handle things. It's not our job.

Adam will tell us if he wants us to do something and we all know he wouldn't like us grilling the artists he works with about their motives and rights.

Now there is drama on the Adam Lambert day that The Version is doing. They may not do it now, because evidentially they didn't clear it with Adam's people. I always thought free publicity was good.

The only thing I've seen on twitter that was at all negative re The Version's Adam Lambert Day was they initially had the day wrong.. I can't imagine why anyone would have any issues with dedicating a day to Adam Lambert!!!

Shoshanna Stone said there is no issue at all "They can do whatever they want"..

Makes no sense to make a fuss..

Good points, 9:03AM....

It does seem a little short-sighted to me, perhaps, (in my inexpert opinion ;)) that an artist supposedly working with Adam's project promoting his own seperate agenda for the song (before it's even released) .... And also releasing highly anticipated lyric snippets on the exact same day as Adam teases snippets ... wouldn't be aware that these promotions may be perceived as self-promotion among the midst of the excitement about Adam's release ... And rather unwelcomed by many? I feel he kind of stepped into that one a bit, maybe. He could be fairly new to the industry.... Wouldn't be fair to judge if we don't know and true, it's not our jobs to change it, if at all. It will be what it will be....

I haven't read those response tweets from Glamberts... Though, perhaps Fox deleting his tweets also isn't such a bad idea considering Adam's snippets yesterday and the timing?

Anyway... I think it may be too soon to tell if fans are over-reacting or not, IMO.

On this fan site, anyway... It seems reasonable and wise to bounce our thoughts off others here and share ideas as we are ... Amongst each other.

Wonder what Shosh will say about it, if at all.

And at any rate...Remaining calm is always sound advice. :-)))

Guys, we might have to cancel #AdamLambertDay :( We'll keep you posted

theversion.co.uk ‏@theversion · 1h1 hour ago
Adam's PR dont support what we do for him for some reason (??) which is a real shame but do you want us to still do #AdamLambertday?
These are the tweets I was referring to Glitzylady

Total over reaction to Sterling Fox. Nobody knows how long he had that line of lyrics on his Google+. Nobody found it until Adam gave us that tweet.

As long as people here admit they are not experts why don't you just sit back and let the real experts handle things.

I swear, some people aren't happy until they make Adam a victim or until they can whine about something.

Anonymous said...

In the deleted tweets Sterling Fox said it was his demo. Why are people doubting and harassing the guy that by all accounts wrote a hit song and worked with Adam on it. Shortsighted. Let it go.

@Anon 9:46 PM
I'd only seen what Shoshanna had said earlier..

Perhaps they had a convo about it..

I haven't been on Twitter much today. I'm at work :))))

My guess about Monday the 13th, is that they will announce when Adam will perform his single on AI. Which as they said, it's something great for Adam's fans and great for Adam too.

Proud of all the fans and especially the Ninja Fans who are expert in protecting our Adam; and many times, find out about those who intend on doing harm to Adam's career, whether intended or not. This is a crucial time in the rollout of Adam's new CD.

That Sterling person had no business dragging out his hang on intentions now; he is just trying to get publicity. Very selfish in my opinion; he could have waited. I think he is getting what he deserves! This is not our first Rodeo where people have tried to scam Adam, one way or another; intentional or not; and they should be reminded that this will not fly, and should at least be called out on it!

Easy for some to sit back and scold; but emotions are running high. Hard to tell these grown up people what to do! I am sure that by now Adam and his overprotecting Glamberts in general, and in this matter particular!

If there is a scolding to be done, and they feel that the highly emotional Glamberts were out of control in protecting their man in this matter! Adam, and or Management will inform the fandom!

Hopefully, the lesson will be learned for all would be detractors; don't mess with Adam Lambert; especially when his release is so near! Such an unprofessional thing for the Sterling person to do; he should have known better; just out of common decency if nothing else! What a shame!

Keep up the good work Ninja/Glambert's the 21st of April is almost here!!

On a side note, Scott Borchetta, President and CEO of the Big Machine label group and has been on idol this entire season, replied to a tweet to him suggesting that Adam's single will be dropping at the same time idol announces their top 4. They go on to tweet that Adam should sing and mentor that week with a hint about Jax (incredible singer and huge Adam fan). He then tweets "ADAM - LET'S TALK!" with a FORWARD of this persons tweet!!!

This guy is a major deal in general and on idol!

There is just little notice of Adam on Czech internet: http://www.koule.cz/cs/rychlovky/adam-lambert-zverejnil-kus-novinky-ghosttown-madonna-k-podobne-pisni-chysta-klip-61640.shtml

"Singer Adam Lambert, who introduced himself in Prague as a new singer of Queen (review), is preparing a new album The Original High this year. There will be also the song Ghosttown where the snippet is comming from.

And there is also Madonna who is prommising video for the Ghost Town song from the latest album Rebel Heart (review) for some time. So whose heart is more desolate?"

Best regards from CZ

Yikes! so much drama going on in our fandom regarding Adam's soon to be released GT. I'm trying to remain patient although reading all these posts are making me a bit nervous for Adam and hoping his label, mgmt. team and PR will all do their very best for him.

Adam knows how much his Glamberts love him and always have his back. So I hope if there is any fallout from tweets to Sterling Adam can explain to him that Glamberts are very well intentioned in Adam's behalf. This is nothing new for Adam and he appreciates it up to a point. If the fandom needs to be "schooled" a little bit, he'll take care of it.

Keeping my fingers crossed for a HUGE hit in Ghost Town :))))

10:23 AM, Shosh and Adam have previously asked fans to not do certain things regarding twitter, comments left for media, etc. Shosh just recently said to leave the promo to her.

We do not know what the contract with Adam, Fox and WBR says. Fox may be entirely within his rights. WBR can handle it if he is not.

These people "defending" Adam are doing him more harm than good. They need to think of Adam's goals first rather than thinking first that they need to defend him. If Adam needs us he or Shosh will let us know. Until then, mind your own business.

Not sure I agree absolutely 100% with 12:23, but he/she sure does have some good points imho.

Adam does not need rabid, uninformed, uber fans taking care of him, protecting him, lousing things up for him. No wonder there is a taint to the word Glamberts.
There is a very large company looking after his best interests. They have a lot more clout than viperish fans.

Strange how a nice guy like Adam attracts weirdos.

Anonymous said...

Blah, blah, blah. It takes a weirdo to know another one! Such bossy, fans that think they are always right; take a chill pill, why don't you?????

Thanks dear Glamberts for always having Adam's back. You have not been rude; not from what I have seen. I love some of the posts above always having our beautiful man's back.

I know you are looking out for Adam with love in your heart. I have not heard any complaints from Adam or his team in this matter! Just from overzealous grump heads!

Calm down! The defenders of Adam Lambert are forever moving forward protecting our beautiful Gift From God!! Cheers~ Making sure the road is smooth sailing ahead until April 21st.

Hail to the Glam One! Together We Stand, Divided We Fall!! Night All!!

Anonymous said...

Some fans have no self-awareness and are so righteous.

It shouldn't take a message from Adam or Shosh to know what is out of line, no matter how well intentioned it was.

Anonymous said...

Adam certainly has some rabid fans who do more harm than good.

Okay, let's all chill out, watch this perfect video full of cameraderie, pure joy of fantastic, iconic music and professionalism plus total respect of each other. Beautiful thing to witness!

Thank you Queen + Adam Lambert!

Thank you for the vid @Jan Kellerman
