"...Future Classic" is more than I dare to wish for:)

When I first listened to it, the song is really different. The more I hear it, it kind of grows on you. Still sounds like it could be music for a western to me. All in a good way.

Something different that stands out. That is what Adam needs.

I beg to differ from this Guardian reviewer; Adam's first single "Ghost Town, off of his album, "The Original High", actually carries all the Hallmarks of an "ADAM LAMBERT FUTURE CLASSIC"; masterly produced by esteemed Producer, Max Martin and company; supposedly one of the best producers in the industry.

Adam Lambert is the "one in a billion vocalist" who laid down the magical vocals on HIS SINGLE, "Ghost Town", without the outstanding and unique vocals that only Adam Lambert could provide, and co-writing skills; this project would not exist! Also, they must not have heard all of Adam's past albums; there were quite a few breathtakingly "SUTLE BALLADS", on them; and those were not avoided like the "PLAGUE"!

Nice for Adam to be recognized in the UK; but, let's make no mistake; this is Adam Lambert's project with help from the producers that he hired! They are great; but, without Adam Lambert; this project would go nowhere fast!

Maybe I am over sensitive; but, Adam deserves as much praise as Max Martin; if not more! Oh well, just hope it does well in the UK; as long as they acknowledge and play it; Adam's fans "know what time it is", so to speak!!!! We will "clock" this one with grace!!

My personal summation of the article: I give the Guardian a grade C, for this review! Too bad they did not do some simple research regarding Adam's past outstanding work and accomplishments he has in HIS background! Still glad that he is getting MORE recognition in the UK this time around! So there's that!

My opinion is for this fan blog only. Just wanted to express my opinions. We each have one; and this is most definitely mine!!!

You are trolling, aren't you? Adam wrote none of the songs on the new album.

... but I think many of us are. Let's keep in mind though that a strong and reputable team is so important behind Adam's voice. That's why I was quite happy about the MM mention. I think, especially in the UK, Adam has proven himself as a vocalist already :) No disrespect.

Glamberts, the message of Adam's new song is so powerful! His heart has been damaged, can it ever again love? What an incredible idea to juxtapose one's heart with a ghost town. This idea had to come from Adam's dark side. He is young, but he so deeply feels. Myself, a want-to-be poet, I find this song to be amazing, and I want Adam to get the credit, but, if the credit does end up going to Max Martin, I will accept it. I believe in Adam with every beat of my heart, and he will find the fame he deserves. If I could only describe to you how Adam has affected my life with his music! I could, but I will not subject you to a long narrative. The reviewer meant well, I believe. I read all about Max Martin-G-d, he is a genius! Adam no longer has to prove himself-he has made it! "LUCY" will really take him to the top, IMHO! Margarita Lady

About the term/description of Adam's "Ghost Town" as a "Max Martin Classic"..

I don't personally feel that the reviewer meant to be disrespectful or dismissive of Adam Lambert and his talent etc.. It might have been a little bit better and/or descriptive to say a "Max Martin produced classic" because I do believe that's what the reviewer was getting at..

Max Martin is pretty much THE pop music producer/guru in the world right now. He just won Music Producer of the Year Grammy, and he is well known for producing and sometimes writing some #1 hits.. and producing some #1 albums... It's just the best thing ever (IMHO) that Adam worked with him on this new album and that Max Martin and Shellback produced it... It bodes VERY well for the quality of the whole album..

I'm very pleased that "Ghost Town" got this great review and the "future classic" prediction..

I really don't understand his new son. First of all only us old folk remember Elvis or James Dean. The lyrics remind me of the poems I had to read in school that I couldn't ever understand. Also all that stuff between verses how will that pan out live. I'm crazy about Adam Lambert but can't understand why he can't just sing a simple love song for all of us to listen to with joy. Sorry that is my confused appinion.

Apparently you are the Troll; or an Idiot. The poster you are responding to @2:42pm sounds like a fan with the truth at him or her disposal. Unlike you, they have the facts about his contribution to his cd, TOH, unlike you; who does nothing but troll around constantly trying to discredit Adam as much as you can. Adam said that he is a
co-writer on every song on TOH! If you don't believe his words or his fans; look at the credits. Look it up if you can read; it is posted for all the world to see; but if you were a fan and not a Troll; you would know that! Bye now!

This song is amazing, the more I hear it the more I love it. As far as the review goes my opinion is the very fact that Adam's vocals are featured on a Max Martin album speaks very highly of Adam, I don't think Max Martin would waste time working with Adam if he were an average performer.

Will the person who wrote the original song get any credit? (Elvis did not write songs but it was in his contract that his name was listed as co-writer on them.) ???
Let's not get carried away if Adam tweaked a line or two.
This song, like most, is a combination of production staff, song writer/writers and singer. They share the praise.

Be generous to all and take as much credit away from Adam as possible. Sure there were several writers on the albums that contributed to the songs/ album. Adam lambert was certainly one of the Writers not one of the tweakers. Adam said plainly he and MM sure S wrote the album. Certainly there were other writers and contributers as well.

The main contributerrs to the album were Adam Lambert and MM and sure ly S. Let s be generous to others but let's not take away the credit that is do to Adam. Quite sure he did more than tweak a line or two.

You can deny that and try to limit credit all you want but Adams own words words were he and Mx Martin Wrote TOH. He did not say MM wrote it and he tweaked a line or two. Adam is an honest person and would say if it was true it is not.

Adam not Elvis he is Adam Lambert. Elvis did not write anything but it was written he had to be on all songs so he would get more residuals from the songs.

Never heard of any thing like that for Adam Lambert ever. No supportive people of Adam on his own site or trolls. But seems like there are at least one or two on each post.

ghost Town is an amaizing song can't wait for the video of this amaizing song. Adams vocals are plain fantastic in GT.

Adam a simple love song? Not sure if that will ever happen even though it appears at an obvious choice to many haha. Adam is obviously shooting for something else which may be confusing to some. But that's Adam. He himself is likely just as complex and "left of center" as some of his songs. I do like Ghost Town, but it surprised me :)

Whataya Want From Me Adam's best single .... well, it did the best commercially but for me, it isn't his best single nor his best song. jmo

A list of the authors of the songs on TOH is out there but I don't remember where I saw it.

Sterling Fox was the main writer of Ghost Town. It was his demo.

3:42 PM Adam is not so young anymore, he approaches middle age... And I think those interviews he has given, show that he is quite frivolous and immature, especially when he talks about his former relationships.

To 2:57- Adam at at 33 years old is middle aged? Then I must be a dinosaur! True, he is not a teen or in his early twenties as are many of today's pop artists, but no matter what his age, he will still have the best voice in the music business. When many of these young singers have had their 15minutes of fame be over as they grow older and so do their fans, Adam will still be performing somewhere, on some stage with his early fans still there following him.

Let me figure this out.....Adam is middle aged at 33. That makes old age 66. That makes me..............dead!
