When we first heard "Another Lonely Night" from Adam Lambert's upcoming album "The Original High", the question "what the heck is that...moo...sound???"..

Awesome song, but what??!!

Adam answered a fan on Twitter today:

"Haha it ain't a moo. It's a "yeah" pitch shifted real low. Lol no cows" ~ Adam Lambert

I had heard that before, that it is not moo, but yeah. I have listened to ALN numerous times, and cannot get 'yeah' from the moo sound.

It sure sounds like a MOO. Sorry Adam, but it's a fact. Lol.

Everyone's been wondering about the "moo" sound so TY Adam for answering our questions LOL!

ALN is my favorite song so far. Of course I love them all.

I would remove the moo, it's jarring and odd.

Very cool that Adam has a good sense of humor about the MOO. It will become part of his lore. I love the new songs so much! ALN runs through my head a lot! But I like EITN, too, along with UG. Been spinning GT when I can. Can't wait for the album release!

Love, love, love Evil In The Night; so unique! But, every time one comes out; hard to stop listening to that one too. Everything so far is much better than anything that's out there to me. Adam is just killing it so far with the Album. I just can't envision the rest being even better or just a good as these. Knowing Adam Lambert, I already know that I am wrong; just spouting words of futility! I know that I will continue to be overjoyed! Three for Three super great Adam Lambert albums won't be bad at all!!

On the Billboard Charts! Yay!

It's the same "YEAH" as back in the 50's DoWop days ... a lot of the groups used it ... a really deep resonant .."YEAH"!! Loved it then ... love it now!!

That's why Adam is different from the rest...... He is very creative with the help of other great musicians... His team is doing well right now!!! I'm just so happy for him indeed.

Love Adam's song so much! I fully understand the "yeah"! It makes the song even cooler! Another great job Adam!

So Adam just started a new trade to say 'yeah' as 'moo' LOL. I wonder how hard will he laugh if everyone 'moo' at him!

Mooooooooooooooooo!

Brian May posted a link on twitter to a poll from Billboard. Who should perform at halftime at the Superbowl. Queen is in the lead.

7:01PM, that was a poll from the beginning of February and it was not tweeted from Brian's twitter but rather from a fan twitter account.

As an aside, Brian needs to stop retweeting dead animal photos or I am going to have to unfollow him.

Well that would give me an incentive to watch the game....first time in more than 20 years!
Make that more than 30!!!!!!!!

I don't know about watching the game. I would for sure watch the 2nd quarter. Does football have quarters? Probably miss the entire 2nd half.

Enamored with Another Lonely Night!!!

I don't think I would watch the whole game, just the part when Queen and their fabulous front man Adam took to the field.

Adam has no choice but to display a good sense of humor when being ridiculed.

Anonymous said...

No ridiculing of Adam on here. What are you referring to?

Anonymous said...

It's original I vote to leave the moo in. Lol

@8:16 PM

If you think that Adam is being ridiculed, then you are badly mistaken! Fans, are just playfully teasing and asking him about the moo sound in the song. No real fan is trying to ridicule this wonderful young man. If so; they would be making a big mistake; but that is not what they are doing!

Also, for your information, Adam does not have to pretend to have a sense of humor, because he just automatically has one, not a phony bone in his beautiful body.

Adam does not take a lot of internet chatter seriously. He and his team know what they are doing. Remember also; that Adam always has a choice, and he chooses to be honest!

Adam loves his fans; and is very used to his Glamberts questioning him about things they don't understand. He has never hesitated at all in telling his fans the truth, but always in a respectful manner, of course. Real fans do get the message, believe me, and they respect Adam all the more for being so honest and trustworthy!!

@Anne Marie
I am with you on that one. Queen and Adam Lambert would be my touch down for the day! Then, game over!! May join DH later, according to the excitement level of the game and who is playing.

I can't get Another Lonely Night out of my head, despite the strange "Yeah" pitch. And I don't think that Adam is super happy about the feedback he's getting from us fans. A "moo" sound isn't the coolest thing after all. I actually consider it an oversight by his producer.

Thanks Adam for solving the mystery of the moo! :-D

I used to have a mobile phone with mooing as the ringing sound. Lots of incredulous faces when it rang in public!!

Anonymous said...

Who cares? He is innovative, creative, and we are talking about it.. Yawn says Adam. Just a techy reverb!

Anonymous said...

9:01 Well said, and ditto on that!

If you think Adam has no feelings and never has to be nice when he doesn't want to, you're sadly mistaken. Only sociopaths have no feelings.

I really love the "yeah" aka "moo" sound and especially love love love "Another Lonely Night ". This could be a huge hit on radio. So catchy! My favorite on the album so far.

If the subject of the moo sound is all over the web, that might be a good thing in that it could encourage people to listen to the song and maybe LOVE it ..... "Always look on the bright side of life".

nancdruuu2 said...

I look forward to the moooooo! Love it!

Dee R Gee said...

4:57, You said exactly what I was going to say. I agree completely! The MOO is giving this song a lot of attention. I love the song, with or without it. It'd a great song either way.

ALN is my favorite! So far. That retro drive is a beat so familiar and comfy to my ears.
It repeats and repeats in my brain and apparently I hum it a lot....cause I'm getting the evil eye from my spouse.
As far as the moo goes, it sounds like an air horn to me, I cannot twist it into a 'yeah' no matter how I try.

I just have to say I really love 'Another Lonely Night'... Absolutely catchy and GREAT to sing along to.. I have a CD I burned for my car and I keep going back to that song for some reason.. I love ALL of the 4 tracks released so far but 'Ghost Town' and ALN stand out the most for me..

Of course that's today, could change tomorrow!!! Can't wait for the Album release!!! So many more goodies from what everyone who has heard the entire album are saying..

I can't wait for the release of TOH either. We have heard 4 tracks so far although GT is the official radio release. Have I heard it on the radio here in the NYC/NJ area....only once. Adam has done several radio promos here so it should get played. I want nothing but success for Adam with his latest album and this one has to be the one to get him the recognition he so deserves. He is the best vocal talent in music today and has a mesmerizing stage presence. And if you listen to his interviews, you see how smart, witty and charming he is to all the djs who probably have asked him the same questions over and over. I guess we will know in a few weeks what the reaction will be to the new album. As far as playing with Queen at the Super Bowl, I probably would only watch it at halftime if they were to perform. I think it would be one spectacular show.

re: the Super Bowl and Queen playing ... I happen to love football and always watch the game. However, I would definitely TAPE the halftime show for future multiple views! It would be SOOOOO awesome if they actually played at halftime. Those games are pretty much the most watched TV every year! Fingers crossed!
