Via RequestAdamLambert: The trufax in how to help maximize Adam Lambert's #TheOriginalHigh First Week Sales

Basic Info quoted below (sales predictions can be found in the rest of the article...)

*The RequestAdamLambert website is extremely helpful in answering your many questions regarding streaming, including Spotify,  Shazam, how to use and download, etc.. As well as what radio stations are currently playing 'Ghost Town', etc.. Go to the link below and check out the topics listed at the top of the blog main page..

But for now....

Three Days Left in Sales Week; Let’s Finish Strong!
Deadline: The U.S. sales week ends at 11:59 p.m. Sunday. You have until then to buy AND stream.
You can still order online: Physical CDs purchased before the end of Sunday will count for this week’s sales regardless of when they arrive (you just need to be charged for the purchase).
In-store/retail limits: Buy no more than 5 CDs in any one transaction in-store at a retailer to make sure it counts for the Billboard 200 chart.
Keep on streaming! Spotify counts with a FREE subscription for the computer and iPad/tablet, but you must have a PAID premium subscription to stream from the iPhone.
Other streaming services that count: Amazon Prime (just make sure you aren’t streaming what you bought in your library!), Beats Music, Google Play, Medianet, Rdio, Rhapsody, Slacker & Xbox Music (per Billboard & Nielsen Soundscan). NOTE: YouTube, Pandora and online radio DO NOT count for the Billboard 200 chart; YouTube does count for the Billboard 100 singles chart.

Don't buy 5. It won't count as 5. You should buy singles. Basket analysis identifies how many CD's sold and how many transactions. Billboard will look at transactions. It's a straight figure for the analysts to see in a Monday morning report.

Bottom line, Adam is not going to be #1 on next week's charts. All out panic purchasing in high volume isn't the answer. If you are spending the time and trouble to buy extra you might as well do it properly.

I've supported Adam the best I could for past 6 years. It's up to him to build up fan base. I can't fight this anymore. This CD will not do well. I like it but not sure it'll reach the masses. Not going overboard. Sorry my love.

Can't hurt to support Adam as much as we can. I am streaming.

I recommend leaving the CDs in stores for people who see Adam on GMA and Kelly and Michael to buy this weekend. Or wait until Sunday PM to buy them.

There is no way for Adam to beat James Taylor this week. I will be buying my extra CDs next week so Adam maybe doesn't have a giant drop in sales next week. It would look good if he can keep up sales next week like the heavy hitters do.

@5:22pm, I do understand what you are saying, I do .... but your sayng "This CD will not do well", is a blanket statement that is a little premature to be making imo. I don't go "overboard" either, I feel your statement @ 5:22, but I am not going to get on an opum forum on the WWW and make proclamations that the CD won't do well. Just my POV.

I'm curious if you can cite some music industry references/substantiation for your statement that each CD will not count individually if purchased in a group of 5 or less. All of the info I've seen states that they will be counted.. The admonition has been repeated time and again to buy no more than 5 units of #TheOriginalHigh album per transaction as this could affect sales numbers reported..

I'm asking this as a serious question and not to argue but to seek clarification.. We aim to post the most up to the minute, reliable and correct info here.. So your comment is welcome and intriguing.. but we would love confirmation as to what fans need to do in order to maximize Adam's first week sales of The Original High...

Thank you..
