Interesting interview. Adam said his original high was his 1st big love at age 24 and he hasn't been able to find that kind of love since then. Hopefully one day Adam will find it again and maybe it will be even a bigger love. :)

i have always thought that adam and sauli had something special, maybe it was only my own illusion. but that relationship is over now and it seems that everything is ok between them. maybe adam just remember his first love, first love is always something special

A first love is always special, but Adam is a damned good actor, if he didn't love Sauli in a huge way too. He was very open publicly how he felt about Sauli but it might have been a different more grounded kind of love, more comfortable and obviously returned. He said Brads love was not returned. I don't think you realistically can copy your original high about love. Doesn't mean the new love is any less intense than the first love, but a more deeper and mature feeling. Hope he finds what he wants, when the dust settles a bit when his album takes up less of his time, which will probably be sometime in 2016.

In this interview, he is talking about the high of the first love, but he has said several times that he's been deeply in love two times.

Don't think Adam meant to diss anyone. He is usually not that kind of guy. He has been asked so many times that same question, usually avoids making it about himself.
He obviously meant that his original high was about Brad, when he was in love with love, too bad Brad didn't feel the same way. When you can't have something it tends to make it bigger than it really was.
Well he also said something about having the cart before the horse, never have heard anyone say that before, it is usually, was the egg before the chicken. I think he has been quite tired at some of these interviews, and doesn't really stop and think before he answers. He would never diss his friends, or say they never meant anything to him. Trouble is, you can never un-say anything.

He speaks so much and doesn't think what he had spoked before. He doesn't feel how he can heart other boyfriends. Loves are always different kinds.

First love is always special to everyone cause it's something hasn't been experienced before. Like having a first child is very special and different.

You can have any first experience once only. And what comes after that is bound to be different but not of any less value. Most adults know that the loves they find later in life are usually a lot better than the first one.

It is called being mature and being able to be at peace with oneself.

Adam is probably the most honest, kindest celebrity I can think of. He's human. I hope I'm not ever held to everything I say. This was a media interview, not a visit to a psychologist or a counselor. It's just conversation. For Pete's sake, lighten up. If this kind of thing makes you want to not be a fan anymore, then I guess you never liked his voice or his music in the first place. IMO, there is a lot to love about Adam.

I think Adam wants someone in his life who equally contributes to a relationship instead of him being a sole provider in a relationship. Maybe his first love was a lot of give/take between them and that helped them to grow as individuals. Adam loves to talk about different things. Maybe communication is an important factor in a relationship. Creativity is another important factor that he loves.

Okay, as a fan (because that's why I started coming here in the first place, and as a moderator of this site, I've been monitoring this thread all day.. And I honestly cannot believe some of the comments here.. Especially the direction the thread has taken as the day has gone by.

As a fan of Adam Lambert, I truly am saddened by the disrespectful comments about Adam.. We don't know REALLY about ANY of his relationships, past or present.. Only what we've heard from Adam occasionally.. And that's all we need to know. So much of the above commentary is speculation and I suspect, slanted in favor of what those who posted it want us to think. Sorry.

The comment about Adam's mother is TOTALLY out of line and doesn't belong here. How rude and absolutely uncalled for.. She doesn't deserve any critique or disrespect whatsoever. She's a lovely and loving mother to Adam..

This blog is an Adam Lambert fan blog and while we encourage discussion and differing opinions here, outright disrespect based on speculation and even hate is not what we're about..

I adore Adam, and Sauli too.. But I refuse to assume I know anything about their past relationship or current friendship. I've been following Adam since day one, and Sauli since he and Adam were together, and some of the things said here do not compute..

Please consider what you are writing here.. We honestly do not know who may be reading this blog..

So my polite comment to glitzylady saying that her comment of 'we don't really know about any of Adam's relationships' applies to his mom too - is considered offensive trolling? Just wow.

You administrators should be fired, you don't know what you are talking about. Adam was disrespectful and we are not allowed to say the truth.

People should be able to say if they found something offensive without slamming Adam.

We don't know anything about his private life so there is no need for speculation.

There was no speculation, we responded to what Adam actually said. We heard what he said. He was totally disrespectful. We do know about his private life to some degree, because Adam tells us about it. All his songs on TOH apparently are all about his first and only love Bradley, since he has never felt that love with anyone else, and is still looking for it. No speculation, he said it himself.

Putting the cart before the horse is a very well-known saying in English speaking countries.

As usual, the threads about Adam's love life attract more comments than any other threads so this one is no exception and WHOA! So many comments have been deleted here!! It's not the first time Adam has spoken of his first real love and if people don't like it, they don't have to follow him. I follow Adam for his music. His love life is his business, not the business of over-entitled fans.

Sauli is that kind of man that he must have his own works. He is worth much, but I think the way of living was so different between these two men. Now when we can see when Sauli is living Finland.

i really agree and i feel sorry for sauli, he hasn't told anything about their relationship, he has been loyal and only told that they are good friends and adam is his dear friend. and now adam is so disrespectful to him, i just can't understand why?
