Adam Lambert is spending Halloween with Houston.
Sort of. The "American Idol" finalist comes to town Oct. 28 at Revention Music Center. It's part of a Mix 96.5 FM event dubbed "Ghost Town," a reference to Lambert's recent single.
Tickets are $25-$45 and go on sale at noon Friday via LiveNation. Houston-based DJ Athenz opens the night.
You can get tickets early by using the presale code MIX965.

I'd fire the JERK who wrote this article!! Seriously???? What a slap in the face to Adam.....

Agreed. I'd say this writer needs some schoolin'. GT is high on the charts in many countries, and it isn't doing too bad in the U.S. either, after many months. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about.

I don't see what the offence is. WWFM reached #10. GT is currently at #20. The statement is accurate. The author mentioned Queen too. Sounds good to me.

Once I read " "American Idol" finalist" I figured the article wasn't worth giving my click. Is the full article even worse? Tell me so I don't help pathetic articles with my click.

Why don't you leave your angry comments on the article instead of here...

I take offense to it for the way the author worded it.

That Adam hasn't had anything successful since WWFM....plus that he's only in the public eye because of his association with Queen and because of his "fiercely local fan base: the Glamberts" (which was deleted as of the last time i read the article.

It just bothers me. What can i say? Ghost Town IS going up in the charts.....and that is very promising. He's not like a Justin Timberlake or Beyonce whose released albums immediately jump to #1. (not YET anyhow!)

WWFM was the second release on his first album......maybe Adam's second release from this one will shoot to the top. I don't know...there are SO MANY incredible songs on this album that have the potential to be #1.

Meantime i'm keeping my fingers crossed for Ghost Town....slowly but surely its making its way up!

Why would they call him 'Singing show Losers'? I've never read someone call a runner up, loser. What was the context?

When is the video of ALN is out and the single gets released in US?

I have to agree that this short article wasn't entirely fabulous.. It was generally okay, but..

And while the statement is technically accurate, sort of... (at this point in time), as @Unknown said above, it seemed a teensy bit dismissive of the new album .. The phrase "It's yet to produce anything nearly as successful as 2009 hit "Whataya Want from Me," " would seem a bit premature to say, given that he's had exactly one single out for any length of time yet, (and with the new single "Another Lonely Night" just now being released country by country).. I would have been less critical if the author had left out the "nearly"... In fact leaving out that sentence might have been even better!!! :)))

Adam's first single off the album,"Ghost Town", is doing extremely well in various countries worldwide, and is performing respectably here in the U.S. So yeah....

As for leaving an angry comment on the article.. Nope, not a great idea.. Adam's publicist has asked us not to do that.. She's suggested our comments be made in fan blogs like 24/7....

We know Adam is a winner, so that's really what matters.. Brian May, Roger Taylor, Nile Rogers, etc.. etc.. etc.. agree with the "winner assessment", and millions of American Idol Season 8 viewers and voters knew Adam was a winner too..

I wouldn't be too upset about that little side article about the other Idols... I don't think it was meant to be disrespectful..

GREAT PHOTO of Adam and Queen mention..

And the best news is:

New concert for Adam & fans!!!!

Craig...the title of the article was "Singing Show Losers who actually won" So i guess its a backhanded compliment!

Glitzylady.....i went back and read the one comment that was left and i don't think it was angry....whoever it was, pretty much stated the facts.... But you're right, Adam never puts anyone down, so we have to be very careful on what we write....thank God we can spew our feeling here on this blog!

I know i shouldn't be upset, but little things like that do bother me. He deserves more respect.....so much more. Oh well, like i said....it's "happening" just too slowly for me!!

Personally I found it tacky. I don't know if I have read anything by the author before, but I'm in no hurry to read anything else.

@donna w
I was just generally responding to @Craig Furges comment about leaving an angry comment on the article.. There were no comments on the article when I looked earlier..

This is my first chance all day to check in here but with all these comments about the article, I'll not bother reading it. I can tell already I'll probably get upset.

The contestants who technically lost but actually won are, of course, the ones who have managed to become very successful despite their technical loss. We all know of some who technically won but have not gone on to big careers. Many former contestants would kill for Adam's current chart positions right now. This is kind of a minor article. I'm not going to get too riled up about it. Hope nobody writes nasty comments.

Get ready for Ghost Town Day on September 26, everyone! It's the day we all work as a concentrated group to stream, Spotify, whatever, to give GT a massive boost before Single #2.
