I keep hearing that the contestants don't have to win AI to become successful as an artist. Yes, rightly so, but these contestants work so hard, why? A large part of it is to win AI; it's an achievement, a goal they have set for themselves.
I guess what I am driving at is, no matter whether it matters or not to win AI...the winner must be, repeat, must be accredited the title and win if he/she deserves that accolade; untainted. Whether they eventually make it in the real world or not, is a totally different ball-game, one that centres around strategy, opportunity, multi talents and personality. Don't camouflage.
