Adam must be very proud of her for taking this step, with Voice. I am sure she must have been very nervous, as he was when he tried out for Idol. I wish her the same success that he has had. When the season is over, and if she has gained a following like him, I think he will still be her dear friend, and help to open doors for her career. I have heard them sing together a few years ago. Don't remember the occasion, except they were both sitting on stools. She obviously knows the Cherry's very well, we will be seeing some photo shoots, done by Lee.

You (and others here) may know some or all of this info below, but in case you don't or others are not aware, this is an outline of Alisan Porter's history in the entertainment and music business, and her relationships with Adam, the Cherry's, etc..

Alisan Porter has already had her share of fame (and followers). She won a talent competition when she was just a very little girl ("Star Search" TV show at 5 years old, and is known as the youngest winner of the show ever).

She starred in the well-known movie "Curley Sue" at age 9 and was in the original "Parenthood" movie as a child, as well as several other movies... She has appeared on various TV shows over the years..

She has performed on Broadway. She was in the musical stage production of "The Ten Commandments" in Los Angeles with Val Kilmer, Adam Lambert, Scarlett Cherry and others in 2006.

She co-wrote Adam's recording from 2009, "Aftermath", along with Adam Lambert, friend Ferras, & Eli Rise. She sang "Aftermath" as a wonderful duet with Adam at his next-to-last Glam Nation Tour concert at the Music Box Theater in Los Angeles in Dec. of 2010, and also opened for Adam at his two LA shows with her (then) band. (I was fortunate to be there for both shows.. Alisan has an incredible voice and talent and should do very well on The Voice TV show..

She is indeed Godmother to Scarlett and Lee Cherry's son Riff, along with Adam who is Riff's "Godpop". They have all been close friends for years.. Alisan has released some CD's of her music in the past..

I too wish her the very very best of luck on The Voice!!!! Such a fabulous opportunity for her.. I'm sure Adam will be a huge fan and supporter of hers during this next few months..

I know I'll be rooting her on!!! And voting for her.. \0/

It was a great audition and I wish her well. She is getting a lot of early hype and it seems like this video is being used by the Voice to attract interest and ratings for the season opener. I hope that this is not at the expense of Allisan, as the general voting public is usually adverse to contestants that they perceive as having an unfair advantage,"connections", favoritism, or a sympathy agenda - despite talent. The public is drawn more to the underdog, the undiscovered talent, the diamond in the rough.

As a seasoned veteran, Adam knows the pitfalls and I appreciate his simple tweet of support that will not polarize the public. Smart guy!
