Avicii, your Lay Me Down video is beautiful ! especially the horse galloping away, on screen; like you...made your millions and galloping away to greener pastures. Great job Avicii ! Not forgetting Nile Rogers who initiated Lay Me Down, by bringing you and Adam and himself together to produce this hit!
By the way, I wrote a couple of stories with Lay Me Down embedded, because it lent itself so gently into them.
Congratulations! Avicii and I'm sure you have hit a bigger pot of gold.

Thank you so much, Avicii & Adam for bringing us "Lay Me Down" - love, love, love it - & wishing Avicii all the very best for the future.

Any explanation as to why he's retiring? He's still a very young man. Is he pursuing another career? Is he ill? Rather strange.. so abrupt.

In his retiring letter, he says it's been 'his struggle for some time' whatever the issue; likely health; touring night after night and lack of sleep/rest damages one's health drastically, especially the immunity.

@Nanbert he wrote a long letter to his fans on his Facebook page explaining why he his quoting EDM touring.

As young as Tim is, I wouldn't be surprised for him to come out of retirement several years from now.

Agreed, lollymop! At the end of his letter he mentioned that he may be back ("never say never..." type of mention)... but if so, 'just not right back' ...

Seems to me that he may be the type of person that goes 100% full throttle into whatever he does. In touring... and now, in not touring.

Maybe once he achieves a sense of balance... he'll return on the touring scene.

I do appreciate his talent as an artist.

Well, it seems that it's the "touring" part that is Aviici's main problem. That's understandable...it seems like such an exhausting lifestyle, constantly moving from one venue to another, with little free time for a normal life. But he can still "create".

I know Adam loves performing, but even HE must sometimes feel he's on the tail-end of "crack-the-whip"...such pressure! This last year has been so non-stop since introducing, promoting, and touring his TOH album that I worry about his health...and especially his "JOY" in performing.

That "joy" flows through his performances, and the "fun" always makes me laugh with delight as he sings and dances through the last third of his set list! I know we all feel that with Adam--- that's why we are so drawn to him.
