You're right! It's like a scavenger hunt. I love the second photo. It's like a beautiful painting. I think I would call it "Tall Man in Long Coat With Umbrella."

Or maybe "Man Attempts To Hide Sexiness But Fails Miserably."

Dee R Gee...Good names .. but first one should read "Tall Man in Long FRINGED Coat With Umbrella". I got glimpses of it more than once, but wasn't sure until now....that coat has a fringe around the bottom! Adam is NEVER dull.

YOUR Second name is right on!

Nan, thanks for reminding me about the fringe. I love Adam in fringe. I still the the first QAL tour where he spun around, whipping all the fringe. How can you top THAT?

Hi all!! Just checking in to say hi .. not much to add to the conversation but I love the repartee among all of you!! QAL tour seems to be going very well .. but is that really ADAM in the rain?? Somehow he doesn't seem to be a rain man ... more like a sunshine guy .. lol!! Hope to be back home from the dr. for the live stream .. I sure miss all you "Chatty Kathies" & your funny comments!! Adam Lambert...Dragon Attack, Shady, Kanazawa, Japan ...Feb. 2013

This is a video of the first incarnation of the gorgeous fringed sleeves Adam wore during the brief few 2013 Trespassing performances. Then the sleeves were resurrected for the first Queen and Adam Lambert tour. At that time golden studs were added to the sleeves, and the fringes were painted gold (at least, I assume it is the same set that was "doctored"). I'm sure those are the "fringes" you are fondly reminiscing about...remembering Adam spinning around with them flying out around him and looking like some exotic golden winged creature.

THOSE FANTASTIC GOLD FRINGED SLEEVES ARE MY FAVORITE ADAM COSTUME OF ALL TIME...EVER...EVER ..EVER!!!!! Have you never heard me mourning their loss, and wistfully hoping that they will turn up again on Adam ...someday?

Sorry...don't know what I'm doing to cause those big spaces between comments....that is, IF I'm causing them.

.....And here is the final product (drumroll)....The GOLDEN FRINGED SLEEVES....only Adam can pull these off.....

Nanbert, thanks for those GREAT FRINGE LINKS! Nobody handles fringe like Adam.

The WAG tour vid brought bad such great memories. Seems like so long ago. Adam was on FIRE and worked that fringe like a real pro.

And I must confess, I prefer Killer Queen when it was done with Adam in the fringe lying on the divan. He was able to put a lot of personality into it, IMO. The new KQ up on the robot head is fun, too, but not very sexy. And the fringe work he did with STL is the best I've ever seen. He OWNS the "fringe twirl!"

Nanbert said...

You're welcome..you're quite right...and I also prefer the "fringed" Killer Queen and STL because it brought out Adam's " sexy, flashy, adorable, funny devil" so well.

....And that twirl!...heaven!

On the other hand, the current STL is arresting because it is slowed down...and Adam starts it with such lovely, lingering, tremuloed notes that it suddenly reminds me again...what I sometimes take for granted... how BEAUTIFUL his voice is!

All of this only proves Adam's endless talent and amazing versatility.....

......and that "the fringe" is gone....but NOT forgotten!

BTW...that top photo... Adam appears to have inserted himself into a Roy Lichtenstein painting...maybe set up at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam?

And the photo of Adam with a umbrella silhouetted against an Old World background has to have been deliberately posed by Adam to emulate an impressionist, or perhaps pointilist, painting I remember seeing somewhere a long time ago...the artist's name escapes me now (but will probably pop into my head about three days from now -- that's how my old memory often works these days!) Adam obviously had someone take that photo of him in that setting.

He does have an artist's eye...
