I'm vaguely familiar with many of the European cities, visited them on my Europe Tour many moons ago. The architecture mesmerised me; so antique, like in Rome, ruins were strewn right by the road preserved as historic sites.
As for the Vatican, helloo Pope Francis! When I was there, I saw the embalmed bodies, well-preserved visible faces of Popes who had passed on, lying in their coffins under the mantles in Church, St Peter's Basilica.
Oh and I got the currencies all mixed up, couldn't tell one from the other...frank, lira, deutschmark, pound/shilling.
And so, I was buying a bun at a confectionery in a town called Lahr. I rummaged my bag, the guy was waiting and waiting...I decided it would be faster to let him choose the appropriate currency; I showed him a handful of all the abovementioned currencies and I think he was rather honest; he just selected two small ones. Still not sure if he took more than required. He looked honest to me. lwl!

Not widely used anymore

Dressed in a pink suit, so contrasting
To the nostalgia it brings
My Mom and siblings riding on the trishaw
Laden with food from the nearby market
Trishaw Uncle pedals the 3-wheeler...2 kilometres
I watched his bulgy leg muscles struggle
To eke out a living...in the 50s and 60s
