Wow!!!! This is so exciting! Congratulations! https://t.co/wE2bR3qIsq— ADAM LAMBERT (@adamlambert) December 19, 2017
Just woke up to Andrew LLoyd Webber tweeting about me. It’s a good day. https://t.co/QfIivg1N8k— John Legend (@johnlegend) December 19, 2017

And John Legend 'Liked' Adam's tweet. Why Adam's tweet out of all the congratulatory tweets he got? Hmmm
ReplyDeleteWhy would James Cordon weigh in on this suggestion about "Jesus Christ Superstar Live" unless he knows something.

That’s a pretty darn good idea actually!James Corden added,

Replying to @JKCorden @johnlegend
And maybe that @adamlambert fella as Judas? 😁
Who else?.....this suspense is killing us all! SO, SO, SO hope Adam gets it...since we know he wants it. What we don't know is whether or not his schedule will work out with it.... if he is asked. Oh my!
ReplyDeleteHumm...wonder if Brian and Roger have any "pull" with ALW...they could tell him that Adam has the best voice of this generation, and probably the best work ethic.....in case ALW hasn't seen/heard Adam live.
Well, I've attended Phantom of the Opera live and also watched the film, and Jesus Christ Superstar panoramic cinema. The only person at this point in time to pull off Jesus Christ is Adam! Alas, I can't critique Maestro Andrew Lloyd Webber who may see it as too controversial. Great that John Legend is chosen. Let's see if Adam gets to play Judas.
ReplyDeleteThis fits Adam... may or may not beat this perfected touching rendition of Gethsamane by Steve Balsamo.

Adam said years ago that he wanted to play Judas someday in JCSS. I think he just likes that part better. The fact that he is Jewish himself may or may not have anything to do with his preference.
ReplyDeleteAlice Cooper is playing the part of Judas.
ReplyDeleteNo...It was just recently announced that Alice Cooper is playing the part of King Herod, NOT Judas.
ReplyDeleteIn fact Alice Cooper recorded a version of Herod's song for a performance in 1996 that you can still hear on youtube....just type in "Alice Cooper - Herod's song" to listen to it...it's a hoot.
