"Rock gods Queen, with relative newcomer Adam Lambert as frontman, again proved they are the champions of Sheffield’s FlyDSA Arena."
LINK:
In Lambert, Queen have a charismatic and brilliant showman keen to build on the legacy of the world’s greatest front man.
Lambert’s amazing vocal range and on-stage antics – complete with a pink trike which he rode during Bicycle Race – make him the perfect man to continue to bring Queen to the masses. He nailed Killer Queen and Somebody to Love.

Splendid review. Another one down! Nobody can "dis" Adam anymore....he's made his point...he's more than capable of fronting Queen....and "polishing" their legacy the whole time. Brian and Roger have been proven to have made a brilliant choice in Adam.
ReplyDeleteMake no mistake, that speech of Adam's about "celebrating and honoring Queen and Freddie" brilliantly disarms the nay-sayers with his humility and reverence. And the point is well-taken, in that Queen has been able to return to its full glory (probably more) since they are able to tour again, and burnish their legacies even further.
Yes, Freddie's legacy is still firmly in place.....and QAL's is also. Adam has accomplished something many considered impossible when they started their partnership.
I'm LOVING IT!!
Ditto!

I like what Brian says when Adam brings his guitar.
So great to hear Dr. Bri say that Adam is even more precious than his guitar. You can always buy another guitar. You can't just go out and buy another Adam Lambert.
ReplyDeleteDee R. Gee, The Red Special is the electric guitar designed and built by Brian May and his father, Harold, when Brian was a teenager. If Brian said Adam is more important than his guitar means a lot.
ReplyDeleteWow....I'm SO happy you guys mentioned that! I have said before that my hearing has deteriorated enough that I often can't understand words, although I can hear the sound. So, if you hadn't mentioned it, I would never had known about Brian's wonderful compliment to Adam! What a pleasure! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteYes, I know about the Red Special. It's very near and dear to Brian's heart because he built it with his dad. I don't think he'd ever part with it. But to give such an immense compliment to Adam is still something to treasure. Adam is one of a kind, just like the Red Special.
ReplyDeleteDitto.
