So we're getting some NEW FALSETTO from Adam in his new music?

BTW, I LOVE Adam's rendition of My Conviction! I've seen Hair done professionally a number fo times and that song is perfect for Adam. He really camps it up!

Good morning Adam! Your home is so serene; I like this a whole lot better than all the noise and parties, though those are necessary to connect with people.

Pharaoh! My Internet dog! I seem to have appropriated you lwl!

So home again with your beloved Daddy enjoying the peace with you. You have grown bigger, occupying the whole width of the long sofa. I know which part of the exterior this is...beside the pool under the canopy. lol! Don't mean to pry.

Pharaoh:
Good morning Lam-My! I like to be your Internet dog; you ask many peculiar questions but I can answer them all. Ooooeeeh! You know why, Hazel says I'm intelligent...oh and also the Uncles who come to my house.

Lam-My:
You don't know how fortunate you are; you got the most caring Daddy and lots of caring Uncles and Grandpa as well. And such a large expanse of space to roam around in.

Hey Adam...祝你的第四 album飞 ...ju ni der di sirh album fay

(祝 ju / wishing .. 你的 ni der / your .. 第四 di sirh album / 4th album ..飞 fay / fly)

So on hindsight, AI Season 8 Contestants had no clue who they were up against. But they put up a brilliant fight against an unknown Force. lwl!

Alas, Adam lost AI Season 8 and we have to acknowledge that and not use his subsequent success story to try to camouflage it. A loss is a loss. Even when we lose, we have to face up to it, rather than keep pushing it away just because Adam subsequently forged way ahead of his opponent. Like I said before, his prize was snatched from right before his eyes. What that victory feels like, he will never know and yet he left everything and worked his butt off for it. However, he has no regrets and is thankful for the huge opportunity AI had given him.
It also goes to prove a real Winner doesn't lose even if deprived of his victory by other means.

I think Hair Musical was his last Stage work because he wasn't satisfied with the little roles and had asked for the lead role which was denied him.

"Hair was Adam's first musical as an adult, "Wicked" was his last, as follows:

"Hair" - 2003 (21 years old)
"Brigadoon" - 2004
"Ten Commandments, The Musical" - 2004
"110 in the Shade"-2004
"Wicked" - 2005-2008 (he had to resign from "Wicked" in order to be eligible to compete in American Idol!... very gutsy move on his part!)

Of course as a child, he performed in many more musicals in the local playhouse group he was in, such as "Peter Pan", "Fiddler on the Roof", "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown", etc.

In an interview, Adam said he felt constrained by the requirements of musical theatre and its lack of spontaneity, and wished to forge a NEW musical career with his OWN music, where he could perform... (unconstrained by a predetermined "formula")... in a more spontaneous, individual, and personal manner.

And...WOW...does he ever!

'My Conviction'... Perhaps I shouldn't use the word powerful to describe Adam's falsetto. Only certain parts are in falsetto.

Here's how he explains falsetto answering questions on Twitter/Jan 2012:

@PersianGlamDr...On the last album i used falsetto in Broken Open, A Loaded Smile and the “eyes baby eyes” part of Music Again.

Q. @CazGlambert: I THOUGHT FALSESETTO WAS WAN U WENT REALLY HIGH.
A. @CazGlambert_ Only when it’s high and really light. If its powerful and loud it’s called a “belt” “full” or “chest voice”.

Q. AhhhAdam: @adamlambert And on “nervous” in Mad World.
A. @AhhhAdam yes. Good example. The “nervous” line. But the big “look right thru me aaaaand…” was a belt.

BTIKM is def not falsetto. It’s fuckin high! Def tricky. 🙂 but it feels so great to wail that out. Cathartic.

The difference isn’t so much about the note being hit, it’s HOW it’s being hit. Bass/alto/tenor/soprano are vocal ranges.

Ok. Nuff of all that. I’m such a nerd.

Okay, Prof Adam Lambert knows best!

The above last line is mine, not part of the conversation. lol!

Those were interesting remarks by Adam. I wish he'd discuss at length some of his techniques/thoughts on how he performs different songs. But maybe that's like a magician explaining his tricks, LOL.

I periodically run across discussions by trained opera singers about Adam's singing/technique....extraordinary ways he "colors" different songs....but makes it seem so spontaneous and easy to the untrained ear.

Most of all, they seem to believe that Adam so "husbands" his voice, that, amazingly, he doesn't ever push it to its limit... which means it should remain healthy throughout his life. One pundit remarked that Adam is an "intelligent" singer.
