Good morning Adam and Pharaohdoggo!

I've written comments here about gun control since 3 years ago. My present thoughts remain the same; rifles/guns should not be so easily accessible to ordinary people. It's almost impossible to purchase a gun off the counter/shop or anywhere for that matter in Singapore. However, America is such a vast country with so many rural, remote regions that may need a gun for one's own safety, self-defence; because if someone waits for the police, they might probably be dead by the time they arrive, in remote regions. But I give A* to the US Police Force. I had been wondering why that brave LA Sergeant was not more heavily protected like with bullet-proof vest, shield etc knowing he was going to confront such a volatile situation...just a thought, don't know the real situation.
RIP Sgt. Ron Helus of LA...no better friend than one who lays down his life for another!
There will always be highly-strung, angry or deranged people, worse, under the influence of drugs; to go into a club/cafe/crowd and kill as many people as possible to let off their rage and carnage. So yes, logically less guns would inevitably equate less massacre of innocent people. Like I said already, we can't stop deranged people so the other alternative is no guns within easy access, other than for security/defence.
