@AdamLambert says his sexy new songs are an "appetizer" for new album #Velvet:
"The songs that are coming in September are lot more up-tempo, a bit bigger, a bit more bombastic. — The two sides will have slightly different vibes."

Hi Adam...New Eyes to me is a main course not an appetiser; it's hard to beat because a lot of the elements came together like your tenor/alto/falsetto fits the song which would not take your huge belts well; precisely, because you are looking at things from a new perspective, and so that uncertainty element is well executed by your shimmering alto/falsetto rather than a huge belt which would be too powerful/bombastic.
By the way, I used 'appetiser' around the same time you used 'foreplay' but I was not describing New Eyes as an appetiser, it's Grammy material I said. I have yet to hear the rest of your Velvet album; mark my words, New Eyes will stay at the top; it has a huge hook and sensory appeal.

Can't wait to see the QAL show in August! The new set sounds stupendous! I believe Brian when he says it's the biggest and best!
AND, the anticipation for Adam's new music is really getting strong. It's not all that far away, really. September is just around the corner. I am waiting for those new Velvet songs that are upbeat and have Adam's BIG voice! I want to be shaken right down to my toes.
Looking forward to the tour and the next part of the album ( lile a jigsaw puzzle coming together !!)
Just saw that they already tested some young actors for the role of Elvis Presley. Apparently they are looking for a young actor to play how he got started . The ones they have looked at so far, have already had some good roles in acting as well as able to sing. Sounds like Adam might be too old for the part, and also not really had much acting experience. I feel bad for him, he would really have loved to play Elvis in the movie. They might be still looking, but Adam is going to be pretty busy for the rest of this year, and going into next. Well he has a bright future, and am sure he is happy ,and this tour, Javi will be with him.
No matter!! No matter who plays the part of ELVIS ... they will never sing like him ... so if ADAM isn't in the movie .. I'm not interested!! I'm an ELVIS "purist" & I never listen to ELVIS imitators .. just like FREDDIE .. they will probably have to use ELVIS sound tracks!! I have my collection of ELVIS movies & albums .. that's all I need!! If ADAM was in the movie I would be interested in seeing it .. otherwise .. no TYVM ... not interested!!

Looking forward to new set but must say I’m
Going to miss Frank!
LAMBERT Outlaw, I agree with you, without Adam doing Elvis, I am not interest at all. I don't know if he wasn't asked to audition, but when they auditioned the 3 or 4 top contenders, Adam was out of town doing his promo. I am sure some day his dream from his bucket list of things he wants to do, will come true.
Annemarie so sad he’s been overlooked, he’s have been a natural ! and would have been fab in the film , even if he’d played Elvis in later years ! Ah well their loss !!
The producer/director prefer a less famous actor like in the case of BR/Rami Malek.
Less comparison with real Elvis would mean keeping him more wholesome and true; also, they are using Elvis' real voice and singing which is a distinct baritone. What about the fact Elvis got married and has a daughter, not so convincing for a gay actor to portray.
A right actor match will come some day. Director Lino/Playmobil says he is a very good actor so a good match will emerge. He may produce his own movie and star himself, with expert help and his own expertise. Right now, he's got a lot going in their stupendous Queen+Adam Lambert production. So, not a matter of being overlooked or anything sad about it. Would be so refreshing for Adam to play Elvis!
If that is true, that they will use Elvis own voice, like they did with Freddie, I think that would be detrimental to Adam, who is promoting his own voice. It would be nice if a movie role came up, that had nothing to do with any singer. Just a good script, backing a good story. He may not be ready for a starring role, but may be a smaller part, with several scenes. He hasn't had much of a chance to see how he would be on the big screen. I am hoping that his new album "Velvet", will be a great success. Between Qual and his own tour, he has more than plenty on his plate for the next couple of years.
Annemarie totally agree !
Adam did some excellent acting when he was in Glee. I was surprised to see how good he was for his first time in front of a camera However, to be fair, he was actually playing himself....I'm sure that part was custom-made for him....he was such a charming character! I often re-visit clips/performances of him from the show.
I'm sure that Adam is great in the Playmobil movie....but my impression is that he is not one of the main characters, but only in one episode of the story...and he gets to sing a song in that, as well as "chew up the scenery"a bit, I gather. Fun, for him, I bet. Can't wait to see it!
