Adam Lambert, Brian May and Roger Taylor — Queen + Adam Lambert — have arrived in Seoul, Korea, for the start of the Asia leg of their 2020 International Tour.  Earlier today, January 16th, they held a press conference for a wonderful 40 minutes (although a portion of that is simply the translator translating into Korean).  Thank you to gelly414 for posting the video on YouTube.

Very nice press conference! They all look fantastic! And I do like Adam's hair with the blond swish on top. Never boring, that man. These three guys create magic everywhere they go. It's beyond phenomenal.

Dee R Gee said...

And Adam's sides will grow out. Really fast.

Nanbert said...

Hopefully!...but will he keep them that way?

Nanbert said...

I've said it before, but here it is again......I THINK IT'S TIME FOR "ADAM LAMBERT" TO BE WRITTEN IN LARGER LETTERS in the "Queen and Adam Lambert" logo.... and the music being played for them in the background be Adam's voice, not Freddie's.

After EIGHT/NINE years together, Adam has certainly earned that! If it weren't for him, they wouldn't be there at all now! This is a whole new, evolved Queen....a NEW Generation Queen.. post-2008...NOT pre-1990/1980/1970, etc. And NOW Adam is Queen's PERMANENT/ONLY (guest) frontman.

Note, I did not say Adam should be made a member of Queen....it is still preferable that he keep his own identity/career seperate.

Dee R Gee said...

I feel your passion, Nanbert, but I don't think the size of the letters will change. I'm pretty used to it. Yes, Adam is the reason that all this re-birth of Queen has happened, but I think his name will stay the same size. As to the background music, I'll bet that the Freddie recording was picked without a thought that anyone would notice or care whether it was Adam or Freddie. My guess is that it doesn't bother Adam. But I sure understand how you feel. We want Adam to get his due in every way possible. He works hard for it.

The SKY DOME seats 16,813 people. The enormous dome makes it appear even much larger. Those young South Korean fans are just a joy to watch - and will they ever go absolutely crazy when Adam sings I WAS BORN TO LOVE YOU!! My son's wife is a beautiful, brilliant, young South Korean woman. She talks about how much they love QAL in South Korea. I love and admire this country and its people. I am so excited for this particular concert. Rock us to our core, Brian, Roger and Adam!! Jean Renard

Nanbert said...

So, the Sky Dome is not as large as Brian seems to feel....since QAL has been playing average 20,000 seat venue sold-out concerts all over the world. Maybe since it's just loftier, and so seems larger to Brian. Wonder how that will affect the acoustics?

Jean Renard said...

Right, Nanbert, a loftier design at the Sky Dome. Out BB&T Arena, in the tiny town of Sunrise, Florida, had sold out immediately online to the tune of 21,000 seats, including VIP seating, for the QAL concert in August, 2019, only 5 months ago. Glendale, Arizona, June, 2017, my QAL concert had 18,500 seats, also had sold out immediately online. I remember when Adam hit the stage, he had FLAMING RED HAIR, and the audience gapsed! Now, blondie will hit the stage in Seoul with all those very young South Korean fans. I think his new sort of blonde hair is definitely inspired by this young Seoul crowd. After all, the BTS boy band (is this the right spelling?), is creating mania in South Korea. Adam is smart - he knows his opening crowd will be crazy, beautiful, young fans. Jean Renard

Nanbert said...

Perhaps, Jean, but after seeing the reception of the Rhapsody tour in the USA, it appears that the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody" has already scooped up most of the "crazy, beautiful, young fans" remaining...well in advance of the QAL tour....and Korea has already been madly enamored of QAL.

I seriously doubt that Adam changed his hair style to appeal to BTS fans. He just changes it because HE CAN, and HE WANTS TO. He always "marches to his own drummer" when it comes to his own personal presentation.....which causes us all to range from delight to dismay at each change of direction....haha. He's definitely unique and one-of-a-kind in more ways than vocal! But gotta love him!

I've looked at everything (videos) out so far....even one that seems to be the entire concert... and nowhere do I see "I Was Born To Love You"! Is it possible that QAL didn't... and won't...perform it on this tour to Korea and Japan? My heart is breaking at the thought!

I was stunned and actually quite devastated that I WAS BORN TO LOVE YOU was not included in the show. I was really looking forward to this particular song, as was my daughter-in-law. I am still in disbelief - who could have made this decision? This song belongs to me and you and South Korea/Japan. Maybe, just maybe, we will be surprised in one of the other concerts. It is just the sweetest, most uplifting, amazing, feel-good, tears-of-joy song. I even sing this song to my beloved little 15-year-old Jack Russell Terrier and my grandchildren. Brian, Roger, Adam, bring it back, bring it back, don't take it away from me because you don't know what it means to me. Jean Renard

Sue Smith said...

I loved so much Adam's opening outfit it was so Adam. I loved every performance I've seen so far such energy. Adam's vocals in WWTLF and TSMGO were WOW. All his vocals were amaizing but those two other worldly.
I Was Born To Love You wonderful song.
Guess they had their reasons for not singing it I do not know. They often change things up.
I saw alot of back to back videos don't know for sure if that contained every single song video.

Dee R Gee said...

I love IWBTLY also. Maybe they'll include it in later shows. There are SO many fabulous songs in their catalog. Gotta pick and choose. I LOVE Dragon Attack! Glad that one got in. I remember when Adam sang it in the Elmo jacket and he and Brian dance-stepped off the stage arm in arm. Fun moments!

Nanbert said...

But the point about "I Was Born To Love You" is that it was ONLY ever performed for the Korean and Japanese people....it's that "special" song that Queen often has for a particular country.

That means if it's not performed for Korea and Japan during this tour we may never see/hear it performed live by QAL again!

Nanbert said...

Well, just to make sure we all get to see/hear that iconic "I Was Born To Love You" again....or for the first time for some of you....here is the video from their previous visit to Japan. I have visited this many times since then.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnEdmosU-fA&list=RDGnEdmosU-fA&start_radio=1&t=13

Just sublime...enjoy! Take special note of that gorgeous sustained ending....as well as the beaming face of Brian at Adam's performance. Adam makes LOVE to that audience!...and they return it!

Sadly, after visiting this video many, many times since 2014, the picture seems to have lost some of its original crispness and definition. Do Youtube videos wear out over time and use?

Loved the interview and the continued praises for Adam from Brian and Roger! They themselves have said it again it's because of Adam! Roger calling Adam "one of the greatest singers in the world"! I found it cute the guys would look at each other and Brian making faces in a good way of course. I tried to do that heart shape with my thumb and index fingers but I couldn't do it! Haha However I think these 3 yes 3 Rock Legends all looked handsome!

Because I missed the first Seoul concert due to miscalculating the time and day, I wanted to kick myself in the pants, I was so mad. All day Saturday I watched as many videos from that show, I'm impressed with all the love from Seoul given to QAL from their landing at the airport to the shows!

Now the 2nd Seoul show I forced myself to wake up at 3:00 in the morning ( Sunday's show started 1 hour earlier) and just yawned non stop for about 10 minutes. I made it for the 2 hour stream and even chatting a bit. Hahaha Was gone almost all day Sunday so today I will check videos from the 2nd show. Adam looked "HOT" (yum) on that "intro" and Now I'm Here"! Hell he's gorgeous all around! On to Toyko!

Nanbert said...

After watching every crumb of videos that have issued from the Seoul concerts, I am struck by how absolutely brilliant Adam's voice is....and he seems to have "opened all the stops"....no pulling back or avoiding the most trying notes and riffs in his delivery....he's just overwhelmingly magnificent!!!

Since this is the beginning of the tour, Adam sure doesn't start out by "pacing" himself...and he is simply stupendous! I'd love to have a DVD of this concert....most especially because it demonstrates Adam at the TOP of his game! What an unearthly, thrilling, soaring voice!!!!!!

Sunflower said...

Yes Nanbert to everything you said! I was telling myself on Saturday that I wish there would be a DVD of the Seoul concert, preferably the first show, I heard about the energy from that one.

Jean Renard said...

I watched two different renditions of the Seoul #2 concert - one filmed from far back in the audience and the other one shot closer to the stage. It is very important to watch the more closely shot concert because it is imperative to see all of the nuances of Adams dance moves and face-to-face reactions between himself and Brian/Roger. I will reiterate because of statements above, Adam's voice, to me, is now classified as totally ethereal. He has touched heaven and returned to earth to share that heavenly experience. Sorry for sounding too poetic but, I think of Adam in terms of poetry when he performs - sheer art plus poetry. Japan, get ready! Jean Renard

Nanbert said...

Exactly, Sunflower, the first show was definitely the most OTT.

Now...at the risk of "flogging a dead horse'....re: the absence of "I Was Born To Love You"in these latest Seoul concerts.

My investigation says that song was originally one of Freddie's SOLO works, which was used in the opening credits of a popular Japanese TV-Drama called "Pride"...hence the song's SPECIAL relationship with the Japanese and Korean people.
History says that Queen later remastered, added to, and embellished the song.

My thoughts about it is to wonder if, for some reason, Freddie's estate (or even John Deacon) have denied permission to Queen and Adam Lambert to use the song in current concerts because it was a Freddie SOLO...not originally a Queen song. Just thinking.

We can still hope...and pray... that we'll hear it in the Japanese concerts....but don't hold your breathe (sob!). In any case, it would be hard for QAL to top the iconic rendition of the song in 2014...memorialized in the LINK ABOVE in my comment here on Jan. 19 at 9:42 am. That may be the only rendition we'll ever see!!!!!!

I have not seen any of tbe videos of the second concert. I was really sick yesterday. I did find out yesterday my stepson needs a liver transplant. They can put him on the list in 6 months. However they finally found the right doctors to handle him. He got some IV's and his spirits and will to live has improved.
I did hear alot of the videos Saturday to the first concert as I stated above Adam's voice is magnificent. In my opinion for what it's worth he not one of the greatest singers in the world he got it nailed.
This evening when I have time I will try and look at the videos from concert 2. That opening number is killer outfit and presentation is 100 percent untouched Adam Lambert that's why it is so magnificent. The energy is insane along with his unmatched vocals. Brian and Rodger are just so wonderful at their age with such brilliance and energy. GOD bless the whole huge talent of this band.
They are not only unbelievable talents but good people as well the three of them. I have so much move for them.

Sue Smith said...

That was I have so much love for them, stupid phone from hell!!

Nanbert said...

Sue, so sorry to hear about your stepson. Since he's already determined to need a transplant... why does he have to wait 6 months just to get on the list/ Transplant lines are long, and the biggest problem is waiting in line, sometimes years, for a suitable transplant.

But, in case you haven't heard, living donors can contribute parts of their livers to those in need...to great success. In the Living Donor cases, there are not such long waits....which is the best part. The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center has a highly touted Living Donor Program here, but I'm sure you can find a Living Donor Program at major medical centers much nearer to you as well. Worth checking out!

My best wishes for your stepson....and you.

Sue Smith said...

Thank you Nanbert for that information above. I will pass it on to his wife who is also a good friend of mine.
Nanbert he has always been a hard worker unfortunately a hard drinker as well. God knows how hard all of us have tried to get him to stop drinking for years. We have always been scared something like this would happen.
He finally stopped drinking altogether 6 months ago. The doctor said you have had to stopped drinking for 1 year before they put him on the list.
I know those lists are very long that's why I didn't understand why they could not at least put him on there now.
If a liver donor came in before another 6 months from now and he wasn't eligible before a year I would think the next in line would get it. I dont know but the doctor said it has to be a year. The info you past on to me I will definitely let his wife know about. They finally found this doctor in houston.
He adjusted all his meds. His wife has to learn how to drain the tube they put in. However they have not put it in yet. It's been a challenge but I believe now he will follow the doctors orders and medicine he suppose to take. They gave him IVs made him feel better and he finally started eating better he got down way to thin. He does seem in better spirits Cindy his wife said.
Thank you for the information and your concern.

Nanbert said...

Sue...I guess if liver failure is due to heavy drinking, the doctors insist on a long enough wait to be sure that the patient really has stopped/won't return to drinking after their transplant. Otherwise, the transplant would be wasted...and someone else would have lost their chance to get it. It's probably a safety measure/rule.

.

Nanbert said...

Jean....I looked up the two videos I think you were talking about. Of course, the one with closer shots is better, I agree. I've said ad nauseum that the only thing better than hearing Adam sing...is to WATCH him as he does it!

He is a consumate peformer, and each movement is perfectly attuned and apt to enhance each song....constantly varied and never repetitious! He has certainly improved his stagemanship with Queen....every movement and stance creates a mood and makes a picture. His voice entwines with Brian's guitar, but his body moves to Roger's drums....bringing both into his intensity and focus for the audience....an extraordinary symbiosis! His presence is staggering and very alpha...even within such a monumental setting.

He was born for this! What a sublime pleasure to hear/watch him ply his craft!

Sue Smith said...

Nanbert yes I think that is why the one year wait in this case to put him on the donor list.
Just hope he takes all his meds now so he can make it to hopefully getting that transplant.
I saw about a fourth of the second show I'll try and finish it today or soon.Adams vocals on these concerts are absolutely other worldly and he is gorgeous.

Sue, very sorry to hear about your stepson. I have found in the past ten years that when something traumatic happens in my personal life (and it HAS), I can find some refuge in my dedication to Adam and his fandom. It's like another home. And it gives me a chance to give my emotions to something positive and joyful.

I hope things turn out well for your stepson.

Jean Renard said...

@Nanbert, 10:33 PM, very beautifully and exquisitely stated words about our Adam. I hope and pray that Adam reads some of the wonderful accolades written by his devoted fans to him. I think you and I both are still trying to deal with the letdown of the absence of "I WAS BORN TO LOVE YOU" from the set list. A little ditty that I jotted down, through tears of happiness, after I first heard him sing this particular song:
ODE TO "I WAS BORN TO LOVE YOU", JAPAN, 2014
A dam of emotions has burst,
Can a song evoke this feeling?
His voice soars to heaven,
Leaves earthly souls reeling.
Brilliant lyrics from the past,
Makes our blood surge, we tremble,
Such a tender touch of love,
Makes heavenly angels assemble.
Adam draws back his bow,
Arrow armed with affection,
Message shoots through our hearts,
With QUEEN'S song from reflection. Jean Renard

Jean Renard said...

And, @Sue Smith, I would like to say a few words to you. After I lost my husband, I would sit in his big, overstuffed, comfy chair to reflect on our lives and how to go on without him. I turned on the TV one evening, and, crazy as this sounds, Heaven and the Universe sent to me a young man that lifted my spirits and made me want to listen to music again. Need I say more than this young man was Adam Lambert on American Idol. I would have never ever watched this show before but, there on the screen, as I flipped through the channels, was Adam singing Bohemian Rhapsody to the panel of judges. AND, I fell in love! I don't know why but, something about Adam just soothed my soul. The rest of the years since then are history, water under the bridge, but forever embedded in my heart with Adam. Sometimes, it takes something tangible and bigger than our own strength to get us through the tough times. And, for this, I am thankful and grateful to one, Adam Lambert. I am sure that Adam and QAL will be a source of joy to you as you face a tough time in life. The best to you, your husband, and step-son. Jean Renard

Jean....beautifully written! Dee R Gee...so true!

And yes, there is something in Adam's voice...and persona... that immediately found its "tuning fork" in my innermost being....like you and so many others of us....from his earliest "life-altering" audition on AI.

I could not wait to hear/see him sing again....still can't! It's like an addiction....every day demands that I "escape" with him... to some place other than where I am...smoothing the sharp edges, bridging the crevasses, assuring the anxieties, lulling the fears, bringing solace to sadness....bringing pleasure and joy into my mundane life!

Previously, I only found such escape in classical music. And Adam's voice with Queen's music and extraordinary orchestration most closely approaches classical music for me, although I love his solo music as well.

Oh My!...I probably sound like a silly old lady. My family wonders...and probably worries... about my Adam addiction. But THAT VOICE cannot be ignored! And the MAN who owns it, cares for it, and beautifully embodies it, is MORE than worthy of it!

comfort in Adam and his huge talent. It did not take more than a minute for me to fall in love with him on Idol.
He so special and just crazy talented.
Oh believe me Adam got me through alot
A 5 way heart surgery for me, heart surgery for my husband, and 2 other surgeries for me 2 heart surgeries I had.
Adam's music and humor and just being who he is. I know he is human and has had challenges himself bless him. He has many who love him , friends and family and fans. He just a very special man besides his great talent. It hurts me greatly when people that dont have any idea how nice he is or cares, put him down. Shame on them makes me sick.
Thanks to all of you for your kind words I'll past them on to my husband!

Nanbert said...

Dee R Gee.... Agreed....that remark in the Brock Press struck me as being strange... even out of place... too. On second reading, I assume the author was referring to Adam's solo music.....surely NOT his voice/performance! Still, it "jarred" me on reading it! It was awkward and misleading...albeit within a glowing review.

Strange how one remark can taint an entire review! Are we nit-picking? I think Critics often feel they HAVE to criticize. Otherwise people will think they're too easily impressed...too quick to praise....i.e. unprofessional.

Jean Renard said...

My take on the phrase, "not necessarily a stand-out, musician skill-wise" was Adam's lack of multi-skills, no ability to play any instrument (aside from his voice), no piano or guitar, etc... There are so many talented singers that will knock your socks off, not only with their voices and dance moves but with the gift to play an instrument or multi-instruments. For instance, watch Lady Ga Ga play that piano while she sings "SHALLOW" in her Las Vegas appearance. I didn't think for an instant that the author was attacking Adam's amazing voice and performance skills. The Brock review should have elaborated on that ambiguous phrase. Jean Renard

Sunflower said...

Fantastic review! Thanks Mi Re La for posting this. I agree with JEAN RENARD, the writer meant that Adam doesn't have musician skills as in not playing any instruments at all! Glamberts know that Adam's voice is the ONLY instrument he plays! ๐Ÿ’š

Dee R Gee said...

Jean Renard. I think you're right. Nobody questions Adam's vocal talent. But he doesn't play an instrument. Doesn't need to IMO. There are other singers out there who ONLY SING, so he's not the only, but you're right. There are lots of very talented singers out there who also play at least one instrument. Adam's ONE instrument, his voice, is quite enough for me, though.

Mi Re La said...

To me Adam's voice is heaven. My husband, who plays at 4 instruments, is sound director and has listened to many vocalists in his life. He considerig Adam the best vocalist he ever heard. Adam is the best at the most beautiful instrument in the world. The human voice.

Adam is not one of the best singers in the world he pretty much the best I've ever heard. I've heard ceictics say it should take 5 people to sing the Queen catalog. Adam can sing every single song with ease and in the correct key they are written in.
I've heard Brian say FM often could not sing a song in the key it was written. Brian said that not me Brian said Adam can sing it in the correct key in his sleep. Adam is not only the best LIVE singer I've ever heard but he is natural on the stage yet puts every bit of himself in his performances. He can win over the toughest audience there is.
When he started with Brian and Rodger he was facing the toughest audience on the planet. Some with their mines made up to dislike Adam. He could have got booed off the stage instead his brilliance in performing and his huge skills as a singer won over the majority of Queen fans and still does. He has only got better over the years Adam. There will always be those very few that want an impersonator but the absolute majority really enjoy Adam.
There are very few on the planet if any that could have won over those Queen fans like Adam did. Adam did it beautifully and in a huge way. Sure the movie helped bring it to another level.
However thanks to Adam Brian and Rodger and the band they have been building solid popularity for years now as QAL. Sure there are musicians that play an instrument several some of them and some sing quite well some sing ok. Adam is a technically perfect singer with a crazy range and a wonderful tone to his voice. Rodger and Brian do not need another drummer or guitar player they want to do that in the concerts themselves. They needed a fantastic singer and theatrical performer and Adam covers that perfectly. The way I feel it's sometimes better to be better than pretty much most every one at one thing than just good at many. However he not just a wonderful singer but a captivating warm hearted performer that can win over just about any audience. He proved that with Queen.
This review may be very good I'm not reading it. That was an uncalled for remark. I like to see any of these reviewers get up on that stage and come close to even thinking of doing what Adam has done. I've heard DJ's and many others say that they dont believe there is another on the planet that could do what Adam has done with Queen. For that matter Brian has said it many times and Rodger and others.
Sorry for the long post but that just pissed me off what the reviewer said no matter how good the review is. He may not play an instrument or several but he the very best at singing just about every type of music and a championship performer he also a very good writer in my opinion alot of singer do not write there own songs. It's taken many years to perfect the skills Adam has at singing, and performing and he damn spectacular at it.
I have been at the doctors most of the day but yesterday I read a wonderful review on Adam's sessions recording. It shows that Adam has also become a very good writer. He a spectacular singer that skill alone took years to perfect. He a wonderful performer and finally getting recognized as putting out some great music. He the very best at what he does. In my opinion he is a very accomplished musician at what he has mastered over the years.

Above mistake that was I've heard singers say, it should take 5 people to Cover the Queen catalog. Oviously Freddie M and Adam both were able to cover it on their own along with the band. But certainly they are among the very few that could. I guess I shouldn't be worried about some reviewer when my family is falling apart one by one.

Love that voice analysis of Adam my Angelina! Makes me realize for sure that I am not crazy to adore and respect him so much. He's a great singer and a really good person to boot. I would love to hear more of Angelina's voice analysis of Adam. It's very interesting and I learn a lot.

I wonder if Adam will use his song Feel Something for some promo for his new foundation of the same name. Nice way to give the song some more exposure. It's a lovely song.

Sue Smith said...

I hope he uses Feel Something it such a lovely song. I'll never forget that lovely letter he wrote to his fans when he dropped that song. It was mainly for his fans. I read that Adam writting that letter to his fans was one of the things they love the most Adam has done
For his fans.

Mi Re La ....cannot thank you enough for all the great links you are bringing here for us! It's marvelous!

Of course, I especially loved the last one...."I Was Born To Love You"....finally! I was so glad to see it. So was Japan! As usual, Adam made love to Japan...and they returned it! Just brilliant!

I don't know if anyone else feels this, but my take on this tour (so far) is that Adam has even "kicked up" his voice another notch....he simply SOARS! I would SO love to be there in person!

Also, thanks for posting a link to that French poll for the "Best Male Singer In the World". Adam SHOULD win this...because it's true! But we glamberts have to start voting, to get him to where he belongs!

Glamberts!...if you think ADAM IS THE BEST MALE SINGER IN THE WORLD....please vote! See Mi Re La's link above at 1/25 at 6:38 am.

Mi Re La....do you know how often we are allowed to vote?

Nanbert said...

Mi Re La....I returned to "The Best Male Singer in the World" poll to vote again, and was told my "second vote does not count"....so I guess it allows only one vote per person. However, I will try again tomorrow, just in case. Didn't see any rules.

Glamberts....please get in that ONE vote (at least)!

Dee R Gee said...

Adam's jacket from the Oscar performance is now in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland! Great news! That performance was a major milestone for both the Oscars and the QAL . First band to open the Oscars.

I hope and pray that Adam will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame someday on his own musical merits. I think it will happen. His jacket is a nice symbol of a significant event, but Adam has a whole career ahead of him that should merit his own place in the HOF. Hope it happens!

Looks like Javi intends to attend at least a few of the QAL shows in Europe. Nice meet-up time for him and Adam.

Nanbert said...

Glamberts....that poll is more correctly translated as "Best International Male Pop Artist 2020"....and that's certainly ADAM LAMBERT! So please DO VOTE!.....HERE's the link (again) that Mi Re La sent us:

https://www.futurpop.com/fma-2020/meilleur-artiste-pop-masculin-international-1/

Sue Smith said...

Yes Mi Re La as always I so appreiate what you post here. That jacket Adam wore at the Oscar's was a 10,000 dollar Jacket. However to have it in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame is most likely priceless to Adam.that makes Me so very happy for Adam. I will vote on that pole.

Mi Re La said...

Nanbert, I don't know if we can vote multiple times. I'll try again the next few days. I don't even know when the vote ends. I am very happy that they sang "I was born to love you". I like it very much.

Mi Re La.....tried to vote again in the "Best International Male Pop Artist 2020" and it wouldn't accept a second vote...so I guess it only allows one vote per person. There are ten men in the poll...and Adam is in third place (607 votes)....behind Conchita Wurst (838 votes) and Mika (797 votes). Nobody else is close.

So, Glamberts, if everybody pitches in with their one vote, we can "take it" for Adam. See the link four comments above! Do it quickly because I don't know how long the poll has been running...or how long before it closes.

@Mi Re La - I am still reeling about the sudden exit of Lam-My on this site, months ago. She and I exchanged pleasantries, poetry and prose for years - IMO, a Glambert treasure. There have been a few devoted Glamberts who have washed their hands of this site, and this is so sad. I myself left three years ago when this site became a political quagmire. It was absolutely hateful so I wrote a last few words and didn't come back on until very special occasions, as in concerts. I still only come on during the concerts or, once in a while to see if Adam has a new love. This site is just lovely now and everyone seems to really enjoy and love Adam so much - he is our common denominator because our lives and opinions are all so varied, that it is truly best that we never insult our fellow Glamberts. Only respect for each other will keep this site a really joy for which to visit. We will never know what caused Lam-My to leave. Also, I don't know anything about Lambert Outlaw, in fact, I didn't even know he was male. I wrongly assumed that this is a female site (my bad). Sometimes, people get sick and have tragedies and will eventually return but, I don't think Lam-My will. I sorely miss her beautiful command of the English language. Lam-My, come back. Jean Renard

Nanbert said...

Mi Re La and Jean......I feel sure Lambert Outlaw IS a female. I've seen her first name is Tess (short for Teresa, probably), and I remember her mentioning her husband. From her earlier comments, it is apparent she has not been in good health. And I believe she is near my age (I'm 86). I certainly hope all is well with her. She was always a regular visitor here, except for a brief time when she was hospitalized.

As far as Lam-My is concerned, broddybounce said a while back, when people had wondered about Lam-My's absence, that Lam-My seemed to have found offence with her....and had already seemed to avoid Glitzylady....reasons unknown.

But now, we have another mystery/concern. What has happened to broddybounce and glitzylady? I hope it is only a temporary complication, as broddybounce's earlier remarks led us to believe. I hope there will not be a problem with this website!

Lynn said...

Does anyone know when this site will start putting out information on Adam, as before? I don't use twitter or anything else. This has been the only place I can get new updated information. I hope they are not doing away with this site. Thanks

Mi Re La said...

Nanbert ,I also know that Lambert Outlaw is a woman after the comments she made about her family (husband / children / nephew). It doesn't matter what it is anyway (woman / man / non binary). It is important that she loves Adam and I hope she is healthy and that only some temporary problems kept her away from this site.

Lynn , I hope it is a temporary problem and this site will not close. Brodibaunce said earlier this year that she and Glitzy Lady are very busy and will not be able to post in the site for a while

Glamily, so many questions and concerns about our Glamsisters/brothers has me wondering but I don't want to panic.

Broddybounce and glitzylady are probably having private family issues OR they have been ill, like the Flue, Sinus Infections etc.
Lambert Outlaw is indeed Female. She had mentioned a husband and a huge Elvis Presley fan next to her love for Adam! She has mentioned time to time about her illness, prayers for her.

Sue I too will pray for you on your current family situation.
Mi Re La thanks for your continued postings on the latest of Adam, another poll to vote for him, his Feel Something Foundation ( I heard it crashed yesterday, Glamberts for sure did this, lol.) The Toyko and Seoul concert videos!
JEAN RENARD, Lam-My NEVER LEFT! She IS posting on ANOTHER THREAD! Her latest post was on the Chinese New Year! She STILL is posting Poetry, and had expressed delight on her CNN Friend (whoever she or he is). I've been wanting to respond to her but stopped in thinking she probably wants to be on her own! DON'T WORRY JEAN, she's fine, is keeping up with QAL and their concerts.

I really feel for Brian. He said he was feeling angry and upset that day, but the result was one of their best shows. I have a dear friend who suffers from depression, and I have witnessed her struggles This may not have been the reason for Brian's feelings on that day, but he has been open about his battles with depression. It must be a terrible thing to deal with.

The shows so far have been amazing!

The Brock Press review is excellent. I wouldn’t be overly concerned about the “but not necessarily a stand-out musician skill-wise”. There are many singers who don’t play musical instruments nor indeed write their own songs. The writer has obviously taken a lot of time to listen to “Velvet: Side A” properly and analysed it very well.
