Adam Lambert recorded a special clip for Live With Kelly & Ryan on the subject of "My Favorite Oscars Memory."  It comes as no surprise that his choice is one that is very personal to him: opening the Oscars telecast last year with Brian May & Roger Taylor (Queen + Adam Lambert):

The 92nd Annual Academy Awards will air live this Sunday, February 9th, starting at 8:00pm EST / 5:00pm PST on ABC.  (Adam will not be in attendance!)

Adam acts like he doesn't realize he's one of those "Stars" himself! What he was doing was something NONE of them could do!

Exactly right! Adam is a star, too! That performance will always be part of Oscar history as one of its most memorable FIRSTS! And Adam will always be a part of it.

God that was iconic for Queen&Adam to open up last years Oscars! I loved it so much!

Adam is so humble. It was such a wonderful opening. It was definitely iconic. I had not watch the Oscar's for years. QAL opening the Oscar's was so fantastic and took some of the boring starch out of the show. It was so exciting! He definitely is a star!

I'm worried about Lambert Outlaw. She was always a "regular", but hasn't commented here for a long time. I remember a while back that others had noted her absence, too. Finally, I started scrolling back over the comments here, and finally found that Lambert Outlaw's last entry on this site was on December 26, 2019 at 8:32 AM! That is very unlike her!

It's frustrating not being able to find out more information! Hopefully, she's only just been having computer problems. But, she has been in poor health, and quite homebound, so being away on vacation is most unlikely.

Nanbert, I'm surprised you found a comment by Lambert Outlaw on December 26. I have not met her comments even on Youtube since September.

Mi Re La.....I checked again to be sure and found Lambert Outlaw's comments on the following thread, administered by broddybounce on December 25th:

Just ordered my copy of Velvet on Amazon. And I'm loving "Roses." Been trying to imagine what Adam's solo show will look like. Staging, dancers, costumes, etc. His Vegas shows will give us a taste of what's to come.

Can't get enough of those terrific QAL reviews!

Nanbert said...

Yes, great reviews. Thanks for them, Mi Re La.

Having seen QAL myself, no review can do them justice. They're just that spectacular! And they make it look easy, but what unbelievable PERFECTION/PRECISION/TALENT in QAL!!!!!

How I wish they'd do a sequel movie to "Bohemian Rhapsody". I know they did "The Show Must Go On" for TV, but they should elaborate on that with a FULL movie. This part of Queen's story is even more amazing than "Bohemian Rhapsody".

BTW, one of the reviews contained a set list, and I was struck (again) by the staggering number of notoriously difficult songs Adam had to sing during each concert.....a vocal marathon! If there was a Vocal Olympics, he'd win every gold medal! Thank goodness for his strong vocal training and discipline that maintains his voice.

I have also been worried about that lovely Glambert, Lambert Outlaw. I hope
She is doing ok. I also know how bad her health was. I thought about it before all of this family stuff got so bad with my family.
This morning I thought about her. Goodness knows she loved Adam. I wish her nothing but love.
I just had on channel 13 a special on Idol showed Adam 3 times. Showed stars that had become stars from Idol. I just had the station on walk by and then looked at it.
QAL is fantastic do not get me wrong what I said before about Adam's Solo concerts being the love of my life. I just really love seeing Adam as the solo star shining with his own music.
That does not take away from the brilliance of QAL.
It is unbelievable how he keeps his vocals in such magnificent beauty for a 2 and a half hour show. He singing some of the hardest songs in the universe to sing.
Like they have said about FM it should take 5 people to sing all the different styles of music in these concerts. Adam does them with ease and remarkable vocal ability. I miss him bad got to try and catch up on videos. Life has just got in the way lately.
