Showtime, an American pay-television service featuring movies, specials and series, will be premiering a brand-new series this fall called Moonbase 8. The description of the show on IMDb is: "A group of mediocre astronauts living in a NASA test environment vie for the chance to be selected to go to the moon."
The space-center-themed comedy stars veteran actors John C. Reilly and Fred Armisen (formerly of Saturday Night Live) and features a bevy of guests stars — one of whom includes Adam Lambert. Adam's participation in the show was recently announced, which caused a great deal of excitement among fans — and even moreso given that a few quick seconds of one of his scenes was included in the series' trailer.
The creators of the show, which includes Reilly and Armisen, as well as director/producer Jonathan Krisel and writer/producer Tim Heidecker, recently participated in PaleyFest, an annual television festival started in 1984 by the Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles and featuring casts and production teams from both classic and current TV series. The four talked about their show as part of the festival's "Fall TV Previews 2020" series. (Although usually done live in a theatre, currently all of their talks are being presented on their YouTube channel, due to the pandemic.)
Here, thanks again to our good friend Gelly, is the truncated portion of the interview where the four creators joyfully reminisce about the initial fan reaction to seeing Adam in the trailer and they also briefly discuss the inspiration for the creation of Adam's character.
Moonbase 8 premieres November 8th on Showtime. Check your cable or satellite provider for availability and subscription rates. At present, we do not have the exact date of the episode in which Adam will be appearing.

Yes very true, us Glamberts are crazy! Lol
...."Adam Lambert ... never seen him like that before....he's got the comedy goods".
Sounds like Adam gets a goofy part...great!
If Adam plays a "wild rock star"-like astronaut....maybe that's him doing wheelies with the moon cart in the trailer.
Very excited to see this show and of course, in particular, Adam's part.. The description of the real life person that Adam's character in the show is based on, is more than intriguing.. so go Adam!!!
