QUEEN ONLINE: Queen + Adam Lambert European Tour 2022 — New Dates & Cities Added!

Queen Online just announced that Queen + Adam Lambert has added additional cities and dates to their 2022 European Rhapsody Tour next summer.  The tour, originally to be presented in 2020 but postponed due to the pandemic, and then pushed back again this year due to continued health & safety concerns, will go on next year with its original plan of a UK country-wide tour, continuing on with stops in Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium and Denmark.

But newly added to the UK portion is Ireland, where the group will now start the entire tour in Belfast on May 28, 2022 (originally Manchester on May 30th).  This follows with Italian fans now being treated to two shows in Bologna instead of one, and Scandinavia, originally with only Denmark on the itinerary, now gets three additional shows with concerts newly slotted for Sweden, Norway and Finland, with the latter serving as the final date of the European tour with a show in Helsinki on July 24, 2022.

Could this news bode well for additional touring in Asia, Australia and the Americas thereafter?  One can only hope.  The most important thing in all this, however: The Show Must Go On!

BONUS FLASHBACK!  Adam invites us to join him backstage at The United Center in Chicago, August 9, 2019, as he gets ready for that night's performance — taking us from the onstage 'quick change' dressing room ... all the way to his absolutely thrilling and stunning stage reveal!

Not to be greedy here but hoping we in the US & Canada etc.. get another round of shows one day.. Their live shows are so spectacular, I can never get enough.. And I'm so thankful for the ones we experienced over the years, either live or from the generosity of fans who video them for us. I know that Brian & Roger aren't getting any younger and their health is the most important thing so fingers crossed.....

I'm impressed they keep going and going.

glitzy, B&R's health is always a concern but on the other hand the concerts also seem to be the medication.

Ditto, glitzy. I'm thrilled to see that they're"raring to go"...and hope that they'll jump back into a tour of the USA (including Pittsburgh again!) after a short rest. I enjoy them EVERY day on Youtube, my "Live Around the World" DVD and "The Show Must Go On" movie on Netflix....but gotta see them LIVE! at least once more before I (or they) kick the bucket.

And Patria, the concerts are MY medication, too!

By the way, I love, love, love that dynamic top photo of Adam performing with them. He looks as if he might jump right off the stage....such an electric performer! It even plainly shows in still photos! I know he'll be on fire on the next tour!...they ALL will be.

Fingers crossed everything goes off as planned.

Also love seeing again the video of Adam getting ready to go on stage...cool as a cucumber...with the roaring of the waiting crowd....during his surprising and stupendous entrance at the beginning of the show. I saw that show live, and even though I had seen videos of it on Youtube, it was still amazing to see how effectively they pulled it off.

YES! It would be great to get some more US shows, too!

I second what everyone said above — more US & Canada dates? Yes, please! And wishing Brian & Roger continued good health — I hope they feel good enough to play for another few years — it's awful we just lost two precious touring years! But, you know, had we not had this time off there is a chance that Brian wouldn't have gotten his health issues resolved and then things would have been worse (with the exception of when he hurt his arse! That was because he had too much free time on his hands! lol). But Brian now is the bionic man and should be good to go for years, we hope. Roger seems like the steam engine that never fails. And, Adam — oh, he'll be willing and available as long as the boys are. I'll bet he never DREAMED it would evolve the way it did.

Hey — wouldn't it be amazing if one or ore venues had a special Queen day where in the afternoon they show BoRhap movie (optional with your ticket) and at night Q+AL? I'd be all over that!

And, Nanbert (and everyone) — it just makes my day — and no doubt makes my partner-in-crime Glitzylady's day — when you say you enjoy the photos and videos we select for posts. It makes being able to curate this blog even more a gift than it is. We appreciate you and all our readers, and your loyalty, through thick & thin (we ain't near being perfect!), so very, very much. ❤️

broddy and glitzy....you two never get enough credit for the work you put in to delight and inform all us Glamberts! First, let me say that the first place I go when I get up every day is ...HERE! Then I check in and out during the day, and don't go to bed until I make sure I've missed nothing new here. You two (and all about Adam) made the isolation of the pandemic survivable...14 months that I lived through, and maintained my (possibly questionable) sanity ....thanks to you two! But...I thought you WERE perfect!

Broddy, great idea about a streaming "Queen and Adam Lambert Day". And good point about Brian being able to care for some health problems which could have been debilitating for him if unattended before further touring. Let's hope his problems triggered a thorough check-up for Roger, too.

Today is the first day of the rest of our lives, Glamberts! Long live Queen and Adam Lambert, broddy and glitzy!

Broddy thank you for that Bonus flashback, I was there in Chicago, my show!!!! Can’t wait for QAL to make their way back to the US, even if it’s another year or two! Woohoo. Of course I’m happy for the other fans who’ll get to see them next year. Gosh I’m feeling such excitement!!! God I feel honored being a Glambert!!!

Nanbert — actually, I meant having a LIVE event at concert venues around the country, or even the world, where people actually come in and see the movie on a jumbo screen, then take a break, after which the concert occurs in the evening. I suppose that doing something like this could present logistical and technical challenges (e.g., does the entire audience have to leave and come back between the screening and the concert?) but nothing's impossible in the world of live entertainment!

But you mentioned streaming — hadn't thought of that — and that certainly is another fantastic idea that, perhaps, Queen Online should organize with the distributor of the movie, 20th Century Fox. I mean, the movie is now almost three years old and I noticed the other day that one of the cable networks showed it — and it was a network that has commercials, which means that 20th has eased things up a bit, so perhaps they might be amenable to it. Of course, a streaming viewing, paid, would have no commercials. The question is, would it be streaming of a live concert or of something in the past? I think the enticement would be something live that everybody could see around the world. I'm guessing that would actually HELP with ticket sales on the tour — then again, these shows have no problem selling out on their own, and now particularly so with the release of the movie. But doing a live stream will give folks who aren't able to attend, or it's not in their area, a chance to see it, and see it live.

Oh that's very nice of you to say, Nanbert, thank you. And, in turn, we wish to acknowledge and appreciate you and everyone else who is a regular contributor to the comments section of our blog. The conversations we have keep things very lively and informative for our little group. Glitzy and I get so much out of everything you guys put into the blog.

And thanks for making AL 24/7 News your daily first and last stop, Nanbert. We are well aware that we don't always have something for you every single day (unless it's tour time or Adam and/or the boys are doing the talk show rounds, and then we are a' crackin'!) and appreciate your patience for when a new post appears. But this is why we feel, yes, absolutely, go find one or two or more other Adam sites that may generate more daily posts than we do and fulfill your daily requirement of all things Adam. However, we like to think that when we do post, depending upon the day, our site oftentimes contains some of the most unique content of all.

So wait, does this mean, Dee, Nanbert and Sunflower, you were all at the same concert...?

Sunflower said...

Broddy, was wondering the same about Nanbert (she’s from Pittsburg right?). I remember Dee being from the Chicago area or suburb and I live in the Northern part of Indiana so Chicago is closer to me than my capital of Indianapolis. :).

Broddy almost forgot to mention that tomorrow Wednesday the 26th Benedict Cork (Adam’s friend) is debuting a Podcast and Adam is his first guest. Benedict says they’ll be talking about Mental Issues and music and can’t remember what else. So maybe you or Glitzylady can do more investigating for more information. :)

Sunflower said...

Oops so Dee and I were at the same concert, Lol.

Sunflower said...

Broddy UPDATE, Benedict’s Podcast is on Spotify and it’s called “Secrets I’ll never Tell” with Benedict Cork and Adam Lambert. Recorded in March 2021, 31 minutes long. Don’t want to spoil anything else. :)

Nanbert said...

No....I should have explained I saw the same TOUR....i.e. with the same opening performance...when Adam suddenly appeared where Brian had seemed to be...sort of like a magic trick... and which the video of Adam above showed how they did it. I saw that in Pittsburgh.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Sunflower, for letting us know about Adam being on Benedict Cork's new podcast! Really appreciate that. Although it hasn't made it to YouTube yet, on a hunch I checked Scorpiobert's Mixcloud page ... and there it was! Love Scorpiobert — she's our second best friend after Gelly!

So, folks ... NEW POST IS UP!

Dee R Gee said...

Sunflower, yep we were both at the Chicago show! I live in a close suburb of the city. I missed going downtown during pandemic but things are finally opening up!

The podcast was very good. They are such good friends. Adam is a such a talker. You never have to worry about him being at a loss for words. LOL "Feel Something" is such a beautiful song.

Been hearing that the QAL tickets are selling like crazy!

Broddy, your welcome! I wish I could contribute more for 24/7 but beside you and Glitzylady, we have great Glamberts here who are just as amazing for finding Adam related material. Good thing Scorpiobert has that Mixcloud acct.. LOL. Gelly too is so good for all things Adam. Hahaha
I loved the Podcast and I still laugh when “Adam came out” part comes up and Adam says “I never was in”! Hahaha
Dee R Gee Chicago is a beautiful city and it’s been awhile for me visiting this great city, so hopefully one day. I do have a brother and his family that live up North near the Wrigley Field Community. 💕
