Thanks for posting these, broddy! My link on the previous thread got a bit lost. The Capri wedding event was fun, very casual. Adam was great, as usual.

The Fashion Show was astounding! Adam was magnificent! Loved hearing The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. Hadn't heard it in a long time. And of course, ND and WWTLF were stunning. I'm guessing that Harris designed Adam's outfit. He looked great and really fit in. (I thought of that old Carol Burnett skit where she played Scarlet O'Hara and wore the curtain dress with the whole curtain rod on her shoulders. Haha)

Like them or not, those ultra avant-garde fashions are really works of art. They are all about shape and texture and form and creativity, just like music, painting, sculpture, architecture. I think some of them are lovely. But they're not really meant to be worn off the runway. For one thing, you can't sit down. And there is no way to mingle at a party wearing one of these things. LOL

I'm off twitter one day and find out Adam performed again but at a fashion show. I assume the outfits were only for show because where can you wear them too? I must appologize to Harris Reed because I thought was a woman ( very long hair) but isn't after hearing Reed talk on a video. Adam is angelic I tell you, boy "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" took me back to those 1970's when it came on the radio and me singing along but Adam"s singing is way better than mine's. Lol Adam was stunning vocally and physically! Welcome back broddy been quiet without you and glitzylady. 🙂

Hey guys! Yeah, isn't this great? Yes, Adam sounds incredible!!!

Oh, funny, Dee, I thought of the Went With The Wind sketch on Carol Burnett too! LOL.

Thanks, Sunflower — Glitzy and I have both had very busy summers, but also not a ton to post on Adam since the Queen tour ended. I actually hurt my arm and had to have surgery, so that's my drama!

Dee R Gee said...

So sorry to hear about your arm. Hope it's healing all right. Things should be picking up a bit Adam-wise. The Witch Hunt shows should be fun, esp. with the dancers. And hopefully, there will be more news about that mysterious musical in the coming months. And apparently, Starstruck is off to a good start.

Thanks, broddybounce....we needed that! Missed you and Glitzy.... but hope your arm heals quickly.

Adam was magnificent at the fashion show...few people have the gravitas to pull off that performance...and costume! And yes, I immediately thought of the Carol Burnett skit, too! Guess that dates us, doesn't it?

The fashions were other worldly. Fascinating, but who would/could wear them...and where? Adam's vocals were also other worldly, as usual...but we can enjoy them over and over...anywhere...anytime! Every time he covers a new song...it's big news...and he makes it his own. Fingers crossed he memorializes "The First Time...." with a recording.

I think if Adam was ever on SNL, he could do a killer skit on being an opera singer. Just sayin'. The comedy possibilities are endless.

I was surprised to discover that Sam Smith also performed at a Harris Reed fashion show in February 2022.

Dee R Gee said...

So was I. I like Sam's voice. But I doubt very much that he sang an opera aria. LOL

Nanbert said...

Dee R Gee...your suggestion about Adam doing a funny skit on SNL is not far off base. Did you see Adam's brief operatic "Aria" on that program with Twitch Boss (from The Ellen show)? THAT was priceless!!! Adam was supposed to sing remarks by various celebrities in different styles. He blew it out of the ballpark with his "opera" style!

I tried to find it to post here...without any luck...but hope you or some other Glambert finds it and brings it here for us.

Yes! I do remember that. It was very funny. He did all the genres really well. He's good a a lot of things that don't get a lot of recognition, at least yet. Starstruck is almost finished filming, and it sounds like he has done a great job once again. And Clash of the Cover Bands should be coming back, too.

Hope a few here are going to at least one of the Witch Hunt shows. It sounds like it will be very fun. Dancers, too!

Adam will be on "Britain Get Singing," a Christmas TV special. It will tape on Oct. 9 He'll also be on a Starstruck show with the judges doing group singing. Details to come.

Sunflower said...

Yes Dee R Gee its true I also posted this a few days ago but on the other thread not here. Lol

Dee R Gee said...

Better late than never! It should be a fun show.

Looks like Warner Bros UK has come through for Adam with a cool gig. A new documentary about Noel Coward is coming out next year. Adam has recorded the theme song to the film, a Noel Coward song called "Mad About the Boy." The song will be released on Oct. 7. AND Adam will perform the song on the UK's "Strictly Come Dancing" show on Oct. 9! Wheee!

Dee R Gee here's some more good news! In a Billboard interview with Roger Taylor he said they might tour in North America but not for a year, Brian and him would like a break and they're happy with what they are doing right now! About time! ❤️ I am familiar with Noel Coward, can't wait to hear Adam's new single! P.S. Dee R Gee se have a whole year to prepare for QAL in 2024! YeeGods!❤️

Dee R Gee said...

I just heard that, too! We might just get lucky and get that 2024 tour. I also heard them hint a while back that they wanted to go to South America, too. Don't know when they'd fit that in . That was a good interview with Roger. He was asked if he would ever perform wearing Adam's stage outfits. He said they would never fit him. LOL

Adam will a guest on a new US show called Daily Blast Live. It's on streaming services and also on HBO MAX and Paramount+. Don't know too much about the show, but I'm excited to know that he'll be a guest.

Otexbert...thanks so much for finding/posting the link to Adam's funny interview/performance with Twitch Boss on the Ellen Show! Now everyone can enjoy it. As Dee R Gee said, Adam does a lot of things well that he's not as recognized for, but his keen ear makes him a good mimic of musical styles and accents. And, of course, his sense of humor is always in the forefront.

Dee R Gee that talk show Daily Blast Live Adam will be on have a YouTube channel. I plan to check it out from there. I don’t have HBO Max or Paramount +. Adam is scheduled for tomorrow the 4th., but don’t know what time.

Something else, Adam is still in London (to my knowledge), so Adam probably won’t be at the studio in person for this interview.

Dee R Gee said...

Thanks, Sunflower. I hope I can see it on HBO MAX or Paramount+. Adam should be returning to the US pretty soon. Gotta start getting ready for the Witch Hunt. Looks like Terrence and Johhny and Raja will all be there, too!

Dee R Gee said...

Adam is still in London, but his interviews for the San Diego news and for the Daily Blast Live show are out there now. I will try to bring them here in a bit unless someone beats me to it. The interviews are short very good, and they promote the Witch Hunt. Spooky eye makeup, too!
