Breakthrough pop sensation Adam Lambert, the runner-up contestant of the previous season of American Idol, has confessed to the gossip blog Pop Eater that a guest role on the hit HBO vampire series True Blood would delight him to no end. In fact, it sounds as if Lambert has put quite a bit of thought into just what kind of role he would be perfect for, a vampire he has nicknamed a "glampire".
"Maybe this vampire was an underground performer at clubs like Fangtasia and he's part of a new movement of vampire that is in the public eye and isn't afraid to embrace his vampire nature onstage and off," Lambert remarked about his fantasy character, "I'm sure anybody that's a fan of 'True Blood' understands the social undercurrent of the show, and it would kind of make a lot of sense."
With Lambert's dark, sensual, glam rocker appearance and killer vocals, I personally agree that he would be a sensational addition to the True Blood cast, even if for just one episode. Just take a look at the below video for his single "For Your Entertainment". Couldn't you just picture him in Fangtasia singing to the vampires and unwitting mortals looking for some vampy action while Eric Northman looks on? The question is, can Lambert act as well as he sings? Perhaps Alan Ball will give him, and True Blood fans around the world, the opportunity to see for ourselves.
