Adam Lambert: Fashionably late for a very important fashion date in Los Angeles with SAG

Not the type to be late for a date, Adam Lambert showed up at the SAG awards, being almost too tardy to get into the Janaury 23, 2010 show. In fact, the commensurate showman was the last guest to arrive.

Making a quick pause on the red carpet outside Los Angeles' venerable Shrine Auditorium, one couldn't help but notice that the singing sensation was not only wearing an understated, perfectly tailored suit -- and some rather big (and self-described shellacked) hair.

The reason for the change to his notable mane?

A photo shoot for Flaunt magazine, hence Lambert's admitted reason for the last-minute appearance. Talking to Extra (see below) Adam is now modeling (sunglasses) as well as singing (his heart out).

Although this American Idol made a last-minute appearance, that appearance was impeccable (yes, even the big hair was alluring).

In fact, the fashionable dude's duds were quite subdued, save for his usual array of big rings and painted black nails -- the latter touch a nice touch to go with his black suit, black tie combination.
