What did you think of Adam Lambert?
I think he probably got a little ahead of himself as far as the American Music Awards. I'm not knocking him for what he did, I just think he should have done it a year down the road when he's more established as an artist and not just an "Idol." You have to be cognizant of your place in the business . . . but it's hard when you come off that show and you're the biggest thing since sliced bread, and everyone's doing everything for you. You lose perspective, so you have to be careful.

oh! well adam's fans are sticking with him.
Does she think he is stupid? He knows exactly where he fits and refers to himself as the "new kid on the block" all the time. He simply got horny and got carried away. That's rock and rock. Deal with it.
Opinions Are Like Assholes: Everybody's Got one!
And furthermore, what he did, wasn't planned in advance. He is impromptu. The best artists often are.
Truer words have not been spoken about the AMA incident. I'm addicted to Adam, I'm sticking with him, but he's not right 100% of the time any more than anyone else.
want adam lambert hes a human being hes not perfect but he has a perfect voice thats what counts right?love you adam lambert.
I do think Adam made a mistake with what he did at the AMA's, but I think the people at the AMA's pushed him into it. His was the last performance of the evening, and the Announcer kept saying,"the performance that everyone will be talking about", and panning to Adam in the audience. The Pressure had to be excrutiating! He is only human!!
Referring to your own problems after AI, Katharine? Welllll... keep your advice to yourself. We love Adam, his imperfections, his spontaneity, and, most of all, his voice.
<3 you Adam! All your fans are here for you!
KM must be wanting to ride on Adam's coattails, also? She's trying to be talked about. If you give opinion on someone, be nice; you don't know what's the truth; it's just ur opinion.
Seriously do not hate a person for having an opinion. She did not say she hated him, and an idol alumni, it was inevitable she would say this. She is not the first person to say this, and there is a point to it. An opinion not worshipping Adam is not necessarily a bad one. It's constructive criticism, differing views. I agree he got ahead of himself, but I agree that he didn't mean to and he was under a lot of pressure.
But moreso, I want Hollywood to finally put the AMAs behind us. It's really becoming old news.
(anonymous10) correction from my comment above: it was inevitable she would be ASKED this, not say this. My bad.
Also, to the commentor above mine - she didn't state it as a fact. The entire statement was composed mainly of sentences saying 'i THINK' she was asked her opinion and it was given. Just because she wasn't some idol worshiper doesn't mean she hates him. I would accuse Barbara Walters of attempting to ride his coattails more.
What Kat said wasn't mean. Its actually true and what loads of people have been saying.
I'm a crazy, over-the-top Adam fan, but I don't think he should've done it then -- or a year down the road. He's not trash, but that performance was. Hopefully he'll fully recover, but for now it really hurt his record sales. He's smart, so I hope he realizes that people are forgiving only once.
who is this katherine mcphee? where did she come from? never heard!
Yes, who in the heck is Katherine McPhee, and why does she matter? Adam is human, and he made a mistake on AMA. He doesn't think he did anything wrong deserving of an apology, and I agree. However, that being said, it was not a pleasant performance. It was not enjoyable for me, and I am an extreme fan. It wasn't the sexuality, it was his manner. He seemed angry and uncomfortably intense. And the voice was missing a bit, which he has acknowledged. Although Adam did not apologize, I'm sure that in retrospect, he wishes he had done a better appearance and created a better first impression. He is very emotional and easily gets caught up in the moment. I just watched the repeat of AI when he made the final 12. He sang Satisfaction, and it was nearly over the top. He just puts his heart and soul into his music. His concerts will be fantastic, but I'm not sure his future is on television anyway. He may do a performance from time to time, but he will be inhibited, and that's not what he's about. Just can't wait for him to announce his concert tour and to see him in person.
to: crazy, over-the-top Adam fan above, i have a question. did it really hirt his album sales? i don't think so.
hey katherine mcphee, the AMA incident is history now, adam is moving on, why can't you? am sure he learned from that, we are humans, we make mistakes, don't you make mistakes? are you perfect?
^^ um, she was asked about it? Duh. You can't ask the celebrities to move on if the reporters can't let it go.
Being a Lambert fan, I regret to say the AMA performance, with two gestures unnecessary to enhance a really well choreographed number, hurt the "image" of Adam, and he is scrambling to rcover from it. Comments still abound. It was a mistake he couldn't afford to make because, as he said in an interview, it was not the "first impression" coming off the Idol Tour that he wanted to create. Bad reputations are hard to live down, as he is learning. Who wants a reputation as "Sleezy"...even in Rock & Roll? Of course he is foriven by his fans, but what of the others he would like to court in building a long term successful career. That is now his challenge. Good luck Adam.
she could take lesson from ADAM !!!! NO BODY KNOWS HER ?
She is known. Just not to you. She was on AI a few years back, and was good enough to have two CDs released, and was in the movie house bunny, if you have seen that movie. Just because a few overly protective obsessed Adam fans haven't heard of her doesn't mean no one knows who she is.
I am one of Adams HUGEST fans, but people need to learn to be open to constructive criticism. She was asked about this and giving an answer as a viewer and as someone in the music industry. She voiced what many have been saying - maybe he took it too far. I think Adam even voiced it in the Ellen interview. Just because a critique wasn't "Adam is amazing I'll love him no matter what he's the hottest guy in the world I don't care f he's gay that was HOT" doesn't mean it's bashing him. She was being honest. He respects peoples opinions. Please you guys need to try to.

to: over-the-top Adam fan questioner above.
Yup, probably not in the long run, but for now he's been hurt and he knows it. He screwed up a gift handed to him on a silver platter, he went too far and now he's trying to repair the damage. The fact that Katharine was just recently ASKED, and gave a fair opinion, proves it.
Anon above, I just watched the repeat of Satisfaction on Idol too, and that kind of over-the-top is what we loved about Adam, isn't it? Fun, cute as hell, mad energetic vocals? NOT the nasty, ugly, aggression on the ama's.
I personally understand, and LOVE Adam (I bought 10 cd's for gifts alone), but he needs to win over others, and to let him think that he can continue down that particular path is detrimental to his career. That's all.
Don't get your panties in a bunch y'all, Adam only needs one big hit to make everyone that matters forget his horrible, yes horrible AMA performance. It'll happen...
katherine oh katherine....if it weren't for your beautiful face and body you'd be long gone honey so STFU and spare us the time and energy!
what a bitch!
You're right. No panties in a bunch here! It just made it harder for that one big hit to happen, but it will. He's workin' it out. All our hearts are in the right place. We just love him so much and want wild success for him.
