Adam Lambert 24/7 News

O M G - as a lover and observer of elite figure skating (and the elite Mr. Lambert too) I am in heaven after watching that.

Okay, a few other thoughts:

Peeps on Twitter (which I am not) - you gotta tweet that out there in the twitterverse

I'm going to go see if I can still download from iTunes this Adam version of "NB" because I never really gave it a chance, and man, with his typical stunning abilities - he makes "NB" work, I'm diggin it after watching/listening to this, like really diggin' it.

Also, and I'm not trying to incite any hate or negativity here - but clearly American Idol knew, when choosing an AI8 winner's anthem (or whatever they call it) that Adam Lambert was going to make this particular challenging song work much better than Kris Allen would/could. Just sayin'... just one person's opinion.

Kris Allen's version is fine, more than fine, especially considering what a lyrically, rythmically, melodically etc. challenging song it is - but "NB" has Adam Lambert written all over it, as far as American Idol choosing this song as the winner's song. I know it was all tied into Kara D.'s penning it and all that - but it seems quite apparent to me, as a non-professional, that Adam Lambert was going to be able to make this song work much more successfully (and easily) than Kris Allen. Again, just my opinion, just sayin'.

Last, I wonder how Kris Allen's fans will feel about this. Will this be seen in any sort of wide scale???? I mean, it's figure skating we're talking here, it's not like it's football or baseball or something uber mainstream in the US. Was it something that NBC showed just within the context of some coverage of a one time figure skating competition/event?!

Anyway, it was a nicely done montage w/ exceptional subjects, right down to the singer of the background music.

Wow! Yippee for Adam again! Evan Lysacek won his GOLD medal skating to Adam's 'Time for Miracles' and now this. I am so impressed! Seems other artists, such as ice skaters, can embrace the beauty in Adam's songs and his powerful voice to use his vocal prowess to enhance their performances. Well done!

to anon 4:43 really, you cannot stop people choosing what version of NB they like. obviously adam's version appealed to this skaters and AI has nothing to do with this since both kris and adam officially recorded the song.

Adam has the vocal chops to sing this song beautifully, something singers of lesser tlent could never do. An all around beautiful performance.

Just beautiful..........the skating and the vocal. It gave me goosebumps!! Hope to see these girls competing on the telly this year with this song. It would be epic to see live.

IMO neither one of these beautiful skaters is skating to Adam's NB. This video goes back and forth between the two skaters and the music does not match the choreography (which in world class skating is a must). Again I opine that this is a fan made video showing the beauty of the skaters and the amazing vocal ability of Adam put together by someone who appreciates both.

Years ago a world class skater who happened to know Adam asked him to record a song. Adam did this for his friend and the friend choreographed his performance and skated to Adam singing "I just love you."

Evan did not win the Gold while skating to "Time For Miracles". It was a fan made video on YT.

yeah you guys... these people weren't REALLY skating to Adam's music- these are only montages. the only one that was real was Nick Laroche I just love you. the rest our only fan made videos. but we can hope:)

Whatevre, It's SOOOO beatiful. The skating and the voice. Adam's music can work with ANYTHING!!! and all the montages and YT clips shows it.

OF COURSE this has nothing to do with AI (it is indeed probably just a fan video), obviously! I was just saying that I found it interesting that when penning or considering a winner's song for AI8 way back when, that the Idol Producers and Big Wigs chose a song which, to me and maybe only to me, seems so much better suited to Adam Lambert than it does to Kris Allen. I am NOT saying that in the closing weeks of AI8 that the Idol Big Wigs thought Lambert was going to win, but it certainly seems to me, if even only to me, that this song was better suited for Adam Lambert than Kris Allen, and it kind of occurs to me that surely the AI Big Wigs new that, or could sort of conceive that Lambert would knock a song like this out of the box more than Allen might be able to do... interesting to me, that's all. It was actually interesting to me way back when that night when they both sang it live. **And also, to all those who commented about this montage just being a fan video, thankyou, yes, that's what I was wondering. I got thrown for a minute seeing the NBC logo in the corner of the video, but that was just because the NBCl logo was present in the original video footage. I am an avid watcher of World Class Skating, so I knew the ladies weren't skating to or competing to this song, but NBC does sometimes air pieces not dissimiliar to this sort of montage, so I wondered - but yes, it seems clearly to be just a fan video! And thanks for the tip on Nick L.'s performance, I saw it many many months ago already, lovely!

I also agree that those at AI knew that Adam could reach the vocal heights of "No Boundaries" like on one else could and he was expected to win. So this song is bitter sweet for all of us who sat on the edge of our seats that night only to be disappointed. But fast-forward and it really meant nothing to Adam's career except for that stupid Ford Commercial gig and the Crown..big deal.

True talent like Adam's will trump all else.

The Korean skater is a beautiful. Maybe there will be skaters who will choose to skate to Adam Lambert music some day. I can see why her fan put together this montage to Adam's music because it is very emotional and they are both the best in their field.

I fully expect to see skaters of both sexes have their choreographing teams choreograph routines to Lambert's music in the next few years.

Also, off topic but in relation to Lambert's music - to anyone interested in "So You Think You Can Dance" (a great show btw which showcases amazingly talented young dancers, usually not a dud in the bunch, and also showcases talented choreographers and interesting music) - contact SYTYCD if you're so inclined and ask them to consider having their choreographers choreograph dance routines to Lambert's music for this upcoming season!!!

yes , love all that Adam sing's , but I get so sad when I here this song, always remember how is moment was taken from him and all his fan's that night,I know's I sound cRaZy? to some of you but you know it's true !!!and I have moved on?omg.. there was only one true star on that stage that night, A world wide superstar !!!ADAM LAMBERT !!!!!!

@Anony May 11, 2010 2:51 PM - if I'm being honest (sounds like Cowell :)), but really, if I'm being honest, I have to admit that this song serves only to remind me that Lambert (and his fans) were indeed robbed of their moment that night. I still harbor a little tiny bit of anger about that... but then I watch AI w/ my kid (forced to I should say, AI9 so lackluster) and I see Kris Allen pitching Ford cars - and I tell myself everything is just fine!!

I think we ALL have missed the point. Adam has said many times that he has felt he did win. He got what he wanted. A record deal. To be seen. Now his upcoming tour. Kris NEEDED that win. But it sure doesn't seem to have helped him much! Anyone of Season 8, if they had been on Season 9, anyone of them would have WON this season!

I must say I LOVE this version of NB, and wished it could have been included on Adam's album. He sings it fantastically and I have listened to it so many times on the AI Season 8 CD that I have worned it out!

Exquisite skaters, exquisite Adam singing perfectly.Think Stars on Ice closing number with all skaters was FYE, Adam singing. Saw it on tv about a month ago. I love prof. ice skating and think Adam's music would be glamtastic! Johnny Weir loves Adam, but he loves skating to Russian,classical music. funbunn40
