Adam Lambert's second single Whataya Want From Me rose to a new peak of #18 on the Billboard Radio Songs Chart this week! This means the radio stations are playing the song more every week!

Yay! It's about time! Now that he's back in the U.S. and his promo tours overseas were so successful, the dj's here will realize that he's the real deal and will put aside their preconceived notions and give him the respect and airplay that he deserves. The radio sponsors surely will notice that he has more supporters that buy products and that always is the bottom line. The radical conservatives are really in the minority and Adam has a huge fan base now. funbunn40

I heard it on the radio a few times last week so I think my local radio station is playing it more and more. I'm glad. Too bad they start to play WWFM right when IIHY has started its promotion.

I live in Dallas and I am a huge Adam fan. I listen to the pop music stations and hardly ever hear WWFM. All of the other songs on the billboard top 20 are spun often. Who determines what songs they play?

Don't know, but wonder if station mgrs along with dj are concerned with sponsers that pay for advertising, or maybe djs are homophobes or don't want static from those types of listeners. funbunn40

I'm so glad I live in Boston (just outside) where WWFM got excellent radio airplay, from about FOUR different stations! So proud.

I live in Austin and I haven't heard WWFM on the radio yet....maybe it's the timing? But I am guaranteed to listen to BAD ROMANCE everytime I drive out. (Not that I'm complaining or anything because I love Gaga but I would prefer to listen to Adam.)

Keep requesting. It's the only thing we can do. Also, keeping Adam visual on VH1 will help.
Also, keep buing the CD as gifts.

Hi funbunn40.. from an outsiders United Kingdom view we do get the feeling it has something to do with "Adam's Gayness" with lack of radio play in your country..
we do find it so old fashionded with the conservative reaction to Gays in your country...we are not bashing your country as we know its not all American people that think that way..
Adam so has to be Admired for his Fantastic Outlook on life and with most of the world falling for Adam on a daily basis..maybe the homophobics of America may wake up one day or get left behind..
we do not have these issues in UK and was so pleased that Jonathan Ross made a point of it on his show!! keep up the good work you do in your country promoting the wonderful Adam Lambert..you Americans are diehard fans and YOU WILL HELP TO CHANGE the attitudes of some and also bring up the next generation accepting everyone for whoever they are
Keep doing what you are doing as you are doing it perfectly

I'm just happy for him! It's great news and he seems like such a sweet guy that I think he deserves this and a lot more. I'm hoping his new single will become a worldwide hit song.

Dallas is notoriously conservative and probably won't play Adam unless they're forced. It also could be reason he is not coming to Texas--at least at this point. Unfortunatly, there are a lot of Adam haters along with Adam lovers. I'm in Austin, and Adam is played a lot on KISS. I requested IIHY, and they were very nice and receptive. He said they all loved WWFM but didn't like FYE. I assured him that they would really love IIHY. Are you guys requesting Adam's new song?

I live in the "BIBLE BELT" of Oklahoma with many huge world known christian churches and very conservative people. I was one of them until I started following Adam and fell in love with his amazing talent and his integrity as a person. I am still a christian but I am NOW so much more open minded and I am so excited to announce that Tulsa, OK is now playing WWFM on at least one station!!! MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!!!!! I danced in my living room like crazy when I heard it....yeah there is hope! I tell all my christian friends to buy his album!!!!!!

Have yet to hear any ADAM song in Las Vegas...I keep calling and emailing stations and nothing. Any suggestions???

I live in Texas and they do play WWFM all the time. Like several times a day.

I have FINALLY heard WWFM in San Francisco Bay Area TWICE now in the past week...hope for increased airplay...it's about time!!!

Wow I'm really suprised. I'd never call Vegas or San Fracisco concervative, they're both quite liberal in fact almost to a fault. But up here in very conservative Idaho they play Adam alot on KIIS. Yea

Glad to hear of of the increased radio play. Not sure if we should be asking for wwfm or iihy or both? I know people read this from all of the world and just want to say being Christain and American does not mean you are close-minded. I am a Christian but am part of a very open and accepting church that preforms marriages for all people regardless of sexual oreintation or gender identity.

@May 9, 2010 9:29 PM - I absolutely loved your comments - thanks so much for posting. Man, it made me happy... restores my faith in humanity and all that... I'm the "from Boston" commenter from above and love how Boston and Massachusetts, for the most part, embraces diversity pretty easily... but I sometimes fret about children raised in environments that are, I don't even like to use the word conservative, but more like "fanatical" about their traditional beliefs... well anyway, good for you and thanks for posting.

Thanks to those who posted from Texas letting us know they are hearing Lambert on the radio, appreciate it (and yay). Regarding San Fan and Las Vegas - yes, I've read that several places, about Lambert not being played much there - what is up with that?? Anyone reading here with some legit theories or insider/industry info, by all means, write in and let us know.

I live in Norway and hear Adam every day:-)

It should be all about the music and playing WWFM or any other of Adam's songs. His personal life should have nothing to do with playing the song on the radio. He has the best voice in the entertainment business today. Every chance I get to listen to him makes me feel good, puts a smile on my face and I just want to get up and dance, to enjoy the moment amidst all the craziness surrounding us .

Anyone who follows ADAM on Twitter ... he has tweeted links on his twitter of performances & interviews from several countries on his promo tour .. UK .. Finland .. Switzerland & Germany. These along with other videos can be viewed on Ytube by clicking on videos in the sidebar. I just spent a lovely time watching ADAM ... NOW off to VOTING on VH1 ... FUSETV has removed WWFM from their countdown so can't vote anymore. Don't know why.

This lack of radio exposure and small mindedness reminds me of the Elvis days. We still have a long way to go for acceptance.
