Love his sense of humor :)

What's with the Lebron James thing? I'm not sure what they meant?

Ruka said...

Lebron is leaving Cleveland's team. He's joining Miami. That's what I heard.

I liked this interview because Adam seems to be really proud of the fans and the DJ had really nice things to say about the fanbase.

I was in Target today and saw a CD with Adams picture on both sides of it. I didn't recognise any of the songs listed. Is someone else using some of his old songs that he recorded? Is that legal? just wondering

I think you're talking about "TAKE ONE". No one mentions about that CD because it was released against Adam's will. Adam was against that whole thing last year but they went ahead and release it anyway for profit.

Adam recorded a several songs a few years before Idol and a different record label decided to make them into an album. I'm not sure if this is legal or not but Adam was not too thrilled about it. He said they were never meant to be released to the public.

That's right! No one has had BEST FANS than us, ever! Oh well, no fans have had BEST IDOL than sweet Adam, ever! I guess we deserve each other.

Always Adorable Adam

I didn't buy TAKE ONE but I downloaded it lol. I didn't want to give any money to that company who released it against Adam's wishes.

They were demo songs that were never meant to be released to the public.

His Glambertness??? is that what that guy said. Too funny.

glamourous-ness...something like that. Fun and light interview. Hopefully we'll see tonite's concert in a few hours!!!???

I heard glambertness too...only because I have never heard anyone say glamourous-ness lol. Is that even a word? xD haha

I listened to it again, and he indeed said 'glamourous-ness'!

Should Adam's team perhaps brief him on the history of the theatres/halls where he performs. I noticed that several DJs are asking Adam questions about the history of their city/town's monuments.

Adam should have said... go to 24/7 it will be there in 2 hours on the day of the concert for most times...lol

BTW... Great interview as always, love it! Love you too...Gorgeous!

This is off the subject....but is there something wrong with this blog...not getting any updates

Fairly sure that the distribution of Take One is legal in the strictest sense or Adam could dispute its release/get compensated. However, if Adam does not support it I have no intention of buying it to listen to it.

Adam doesn't mind if you listen to Take One. It's just buying it that is discouraged. (Though I saw months ago, on this site, that it had sold 40,000 copies. I'm curious what that number is now, if anybody knows.)

All the songs from it are on youtube, and lots of fans listen to them there in order to enjoy delectable Adam without giving money to those who are exploiting his popularity.

I looked up the albumn list of songs and then made a playlist of them in order, on youtube. They're very simple, straight-forward, mostly love songs, (not overproduced at all) where you can hear his voice so clearly that it really is worth listening to them. He does some gorgeous vocals at the end of "Fields" that will knock your socks off. All of them have really grown on me over time, and are perfect when you want calming, soothing, sweet Adam.

Have you noticed how positive and friendly the djs sound when interviewing Adam? Questions are better and the monumental success of the tour is grabbing their attention. He also charms the socks off of them. Adam is also getting a close first hand look at his fans and their dedication. He can see alot out of the bus windows! funbunn40

"Crazy with heart!".........awwww!! He is so sweet!!

Yeah funbunn40 @ 2:36 - and I liked this DJ especially, Cory I think he said his name was, a lot! He was very - oh, how shall I say it - just sort of normal... is that snarky? (cuz, really, what is normal?) I don't mean it to be snarky. I guess I mean that he, Cory, was not all concerned with being CLEVER like I find a lot of the DJ's to be concerned with, 'ya know, how THEY are coming off and all that.

@ Anon 2:57pm - yes, "Crazy with heart" - that struck me too - so nicely put.

@ Sweetie 1:50PM - thanks for the tip on "Fields", I'm going to check it out! I downloaded "Want" single to my iPod because I thought his vocal was so lovely in that. Thanks for your thoughts on all that.

You are so welcome MassGlamFan. :)

I also really love Castle Man, Wonderful, Climb, Did You Need It, First Light, Hourglass, and even More Than has grown on me over time, with its many layers of meaning.

Almost all of them have such a pure sweetness to them. I honestly hope the 'bad guys' who put out Take One release the second album's worth of songs they hinted about (they said they had enough demos that Adam did for two albums)....just so I can make a playlist of them too. The more Adam in my life, the happier I am.

I actually have Take One as well (resisted for a long time..,), and agree that, while it wasn't approved by Adam, it does have some nice songs on it....certainly not his usual "preferred" style, but "basic" and easy to listen to....Also many are sung in a lower key, more baritone range...almost didn't recognize the voice . Thought sounded a little like David Cook at first in a few places, as in "are you sure that's Adam"??? We don't hear that range from him much right now, but does show off another part of his voice nicely. Many of the songs sounded as if they were demos for perhaps TV shows or movies?????? And I would love to someday (when he feels its the right time to do so) see Adam record an album of really nice music that highlights his wonderful voice, without so much "production" that tends to drown it out. That's not to say I don't like his current fabulous album, because I love it and listen to it almost everyday, on the way to work, on the way home, wherever and whenever (FEVER is my wake up, be happy, get up and MOVE song)... it's just nice to have more to listen to and savor....he's definitely left me "wanting more" ( and more....and more...)...Looking forward to his next album.....

Oh, and to "stay on topic": great interview (of course its all on topic when its about Adam......).

LOVE that picture - a new one for all of us who crave any new image!!

I must confess I have Take one as well, didn't realise it wasn't legit when I bought it. Definitely not his normal music, but I quite like it, good chill out music.
