Adam Lambert's 'If I Had You' debuts on Billboard Hot 100 !!

It's been a long time coming for some Adam Lambert fans in the United States, but "If I Had You" is now officially a part of the Billboard Hot 100. In the newest chart ranking released Thursday morning, the track (which is his third single off of "For Your Entertainment") is sitting at #94. Meanwhile, "Whataya Want From Me" is also holding on strong in the top 50 at #47.
However, what may be most impressive for Adam is what is going on north of the border on the Canadian Hot 100. After just five weeks of release, "If I Had You" has moved up all the way to #29 -- in the past week along, the song jumped up 17 spots. With the kind of love Adam is getting in Canada, you would almost think he was born in the country (though he did live in Toronto for a few months earlier in his career).
So what caused the movement onto the American Hot 100? The main attributing factors seem to be digital sales and radio airplay, and Adam's song has seen a substantial rise in both in the last week. The new music video helped to create more exposure for the song through TV, which always stretches out into other mediums.
Are you thrilled to see "If I Had You" make the jump?

So great, so so great!
Packing to go away this weekend, but gotta throw some votes toward VH1 before we depart! (Don't think I'll be able to go online after tomorrow morning, yikes - I'm going to go into withdrawal :)

It's about time! What was the deal? Radio stations have you vote but they don't play it. I have not heard it once on the radio. Still hear WWFM now and then.
Here we a a person who has a sold out tour. Don't you think they might want to play the music? I guess I don't understand Radio.
THIS IS AMAZING NEWS! Keep voting, requesting people!! We need to push it up to the Top 50. Then things will be easier.
Nice start. Let's move it up.
Yeah! Canada loves Adam!! The other day I finally saw IIHY video on Much More Music channel the first & got all excited..<3
woops.. I mean to say the first TIME.
Isn't this a bit too low??? Will it drop out of the Top 100 next week if the radio doesn't play the song? I'm sure it debuted on the Top 100 because of the iTunes sales but this won't last if the radios don't play the song. I'm concerned.
I am on several Adam sites, and they comment about how to request. Well, I have requested IIHY over and over. They don't play it. Is there a boycott? Are the major stations simply refusing to play him and opting for the trash they play repeatedly? I feel so helpless and frustrated. IIHY is such a nice happy song with great vocals and a tremendous dance beat. There's got to be something else going on here. Hopefully, someone with more knowledge in this area than me will respond.
Vote on VH1 for Adam. Last day this week before Sat. tally. Let's get Adam to #1. I voted 50 times and will add more later.
11:21 I have not heard it one time on radio either. Maybe you have to pay them off. Is that how this works?
Send in an email to Open House Party (OPH) if you have a chance.

You can call OHP on Saturday and Sunday nights during the actual call-in show too - but very hard and frustrating (and time consuming) to get through...but if you're up for the challenge :)...
Here's link to site for more info:

Can also vote on Ryan Seacrest's American Top 5 - any little bit helps, link:

Here you can vote for WWFM and use the Request/Submit button to request IIHY
Can also vote on Sirius Radio, link:

And of course VH1. These things I mention are just scenarios where it is quick and easy to vote. It's hard to exert a lot of influence with radio it seems - so here are some quick and easy ways for fans to exert a little influence. I personally am continuing to respectfully request to my local radio stations - but it's a personal choice for sure.

yes, I'm thrilled to see this. Adam did say the song was hard to sing and it's great that it's getting attention..however, I love this video but I feel Adam should have been a little less dramatic with the elaborate costumes...to make it seem more current
Adam Lambert’s single is said to have had a sales increase of 59% from last week to this week which has brought the cumulative total of downloads for the single around 55,000. This makes him the most downloaded artist of all time from the American Idol talent show winners!
Thank God I live in Singapore n we r lucky enough! We get to hear Time For Miracles, WWFM n IIHY from the various radio stations here... night n day!!
Guess all these (radio airplay) depends on listeners requests/demands! looks like it works that way here in Singapore... not sure abt other countries though!
I'm always excited to hear Adam's music being played on the radio.. even though I've bought 2 of his delux edition cds n one which first came out in Nov last year! Can't get enough of Adam!! Love him sooooo much!!!!!!
I suppose it depends on where you live in the US, what city. In the Philadelphia area, I've been hearing IIHY played on the radio everyday for the past 2 weeks on 2 different radio stations...really excited the first time I heard it. Also, WWFM is still being played occasionally!! Go Adam...

Adam looks beautiful in this picture. :)

If I Had You is a fantastic upbeat summer song that everyone should enjoy. I live in Minneapolis and they are slow to pick up air play for this. It is driving me crazy. Come on radio stations loosen up and let us have some fun!
