I voted for ROCK. I really want another "Can't Let You Go". Better yet, put that song on the next album!!

Anonymous said...

I never really thought about the genres of the music. If it's Adam, I'll love it eventually. But I voted for DANCE POP.

Anonymous said...

actually I want it all like the last album.I went with pop rock. thanks for the fun poll, these are the kind I like.

Anonymous said...

ROCK is leading the poll. As it is meant to be.

Adam, listen to the fans!!!!

Rock! But I don't really think of Can't Let You Go as pure Rock but Rock Ballad. I don't care what genre that particular song is just let's hear it on the radio, on live TV, on tours and especially put it on the next CD! Please! It's the most hauntingly beautiful, emotional song I've heard Adam sing. (and so perfectly). I'm waiting patiently for the next CD no matter what's on it!

Does anyone know why Can't Let You Go was never released as a single? It sounds like a single material for me. And it could prove that Adam is a rock star.

glitzylady said...

Welllllll....first of all, I want more of what's in that picture...........

I think I have to come back to the poll, because I can't make up my mind...I love it ALL...Be back later.... ; )

Love CLYG but minus the overproduction. Adam's voice is drowned out in parts. I did vote pop rock cause I love WWFM and Aftermath. But whatever he does will sound great. Just want him to have some big hits off the next album.

Anonymous said...

I want Adam to do the kind of music he wants to do--and I know that I will love it.

Anonymous said...

I don't care about the genre of the music, as long as the music is great. I love pop, rock, dance... So it would be great if he did all that stuff.

Anonymous said...

Can´t Let You Go is very hard to sing live and being released as a single Adam would have to promote it by singing it live again and again. I´ve heard that when recording it in studio he ended up almost on the floor at the end of the song.
Found this on YouTube. How many times have we heard people failing trying to sing WWFM? This guy isn´t that bad. He messes up the lyrics but he can sing and it isn´t an easy song to sing.

I like pop rock or rock but don't mind have a couple dance songs on the album. I voted pop rock because it has a greater chance the radio will play them. The major radio stations won't play rock nowadays in US.

Anonymous said...

Fast rock like Fever would be good. Can't let you go is more of a ballad to me. Hope they put it on the next album.

Anonymous said...

Who cares what he sings........I'm just kicking myself that I didn't go to the Idol tour and see him in that outfit! Should have risked the migraine and being squashed in the crowd!

May I ask a question? I have never ever ever heard Master Plan (on UK album) mentioned. I was surprised it went nowhere...it sounded like a youth anthem march to me and I thought it might be popular. Instead it's like Pick U Up, an orphan!

By the way I explained Adam's enigmatic smile in the Gorgeous Adam & Sauli Pic. of Day thread. ^o^

It made me cry from the beauty of his voice and then his backstory ripped my heart out.

It is a shame that there is the caste system in Asian cultures and that this young man is "less of a person" because he is a laborer.

I hope he does well, although I don't believe that he will win because the Korean culture will keep the audience from voting for him.

To get back on topic, I find it hard to choose, as I'm in love with Adam's voice, period and all that he sings.IIHY fills me with joy, Fever makes me want to dance, Soaked and Broken Open stirs my soul, Pick U Up and Masterplan somehow got lost and were so good. Voodoo had mystery and Can't Let you Go is beautiful, butthink it needs some major tweaking. An acoustic version would be incredible. Adam's voice should always be the main focal point because that is what moves us and separates him from the "wannabes." Adam is glorious in any genre. I really love whatever he sings! His soul and passion is what grabs me. All the covers on Idol were magnificent and Come to me, Bend to Me, A Time for Miracles is what unbelievable magic he possesses in his basic well trained voice. Adam is flat out stunning and one of a kind! Whatever he puts out will be beautiful and good. I just hope it will be aggressively promoted and marketed to media as it should to give him maximum exposure. I think moving on to a more leather look will also attract more main stream fans. The glitter and glam were fun, but he is a man of many faces and he sure looked hot in Moscow! He didn't look too shabby at the Grammys either! Can't wait to see the look for Quebec! funbunn40

I suppose it's the "don't ask, don't tell" line.
It was written by Ryan Tedder who also wrote Sleepwalker.....I suspected that was the problem, but I wondered why it was never mentioned, as if it didn't even exist. I never listen to radio so wouldn't have heard it if they had played it......but was curious that I never heard a word about the song.....discussed anywhere!...........That line and the "He" in
Fever were problematic. Thanks for responding.

"Adam Lambert's 'Sleepwalker' dominated the top 5 English songs since its debut in January 2010! It is therefore right and proper that he be our first immortal.Bravo!"

Targeted to young adults, MusiquePlus is one of two television stations in the French-language specialty genre in Canada. It includes a lineup of premieres, live broadcasts and events.".........

I would not want Adam to put out material that he does not love just to give the fans what they want (I think that is selling out also.) Although I voted for rock, all the reports are that rock does not sell. He certainly sold the pop rock song 'Whataya Want From Me' though! And I would love to listen to him sing anything. It's his voice that most inspires me.

Adam should trust his own instincts and his own voice.

Anonymous said...

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I LOVE the honest heart felt Ballads, so I voted for soaked. Realistically it probably won't sell as well as rock or pop, on the other hand my mother and all her friends said if adam would go that route they would be as addicted as I am. I think he should do alittle of all the above genre' to please EVERYONE!

I could be wrong, but Adam went on tour and that cost. No other idol headlined their own tour, most idols went second banana, and didn't have to spend the money Adam did on the GNT. I would think there is a budget and Adam said he had only so much he could spend. It was a success and the next tour Adam may get a bigger budget, because RCA now knows that Adam is a money maker, not just here, but abroad. That's business folks, if you don't make money, you can't spend money.

We will see in the 2nd album, how much more fans will be in love with his voice??????/ I can't wait and not to worry Adam , mostly of your fans are free spirit and very dedicated indeed.

We all gonna rock the world baby!!!!

Anonymous said...

An infinite degrees of freedom is more difficult thing to deal with than boundaries. Hence Adam's manager's apparent interest in the answers to this question. But Adam's voice is unbounded, so whatever he wants to sing will be more than enough to satisfy me. I personally am eclectic in my tastes, so FYE is superb as it is. I wouldn't change a thing. I wish I could purchase Citizen Vein's Glamorize, Nocturnal by the Moon, Avoid the Void, etc. etc. to show my appreciation for Adams incredible instrument. And Monte is a stable mountain. And I don't think FYE was overproduced so much as it was Adam's choice to use his voice as an instrument in the emotional orchestration. For instance, "Can't Let You Go: is a rare and precious gem as it is. I hope it will be included in a US release.

Anonymous said...

I voted for ROCK, although, I,personally, do not
consider CLYG is a rock song.
Love Adam.
Love R&R.

Anonymous said...

I love love Can't Let You Go. But I voted for Pop/Rock cause that's what the radio stations play. IMO Sleepwalker could have made it as top 10 on the radios if it was released here in the U.S. But I assume Adam didn't want to waste his advances on another mv or promotion of a 3rd single. I also feel that Adam's 2nd album will be a hit since he is spending more time on it and he learned a lot for the past two years. Can't wait!

Anonymous said...

As trend setter as Adam is, not only in fashion but in music, all other artists are following suit to make their albums eclectic. I bought Gaga's album and hers is eclectic. Truly, her album is a piece of art. Loved it! I believe Beyonce's album will be eclectic as well. Hey, if you have the talent and the voice why not. Adam as he said million times he can do many styles of music so why not again have all different genres of music on his second album as well. Make it like a painting with different colors. Honestly do we all listen to one genre of music. I sure don't. With over 8000 songs that I have, I listen to pop, rock, pop/rock, classic, R&B, foreign, Hip-Hop etc. etc. JLo's 'On The Floor' has over 250 million views on youtube since March. This one single is combination of pop, rock, urban, R&B, hip-hop single. It's very catchy and creative. Red One did a great job. Wish Adam work with him on one single on his second album. I don't know what happen that Adam did not collaborate with Red One on FYE. Since Adam doesn't like to be boxed we shouldn't box him to do one type of genre since now most artists are heading to do different genres on their albums.

Anonymous said...

I just want at least one ballad on his new album. I want to hear the purity of his voice. *sigh* :) Broken Open is truly amazing. His legato lines blow my mind in that song.

Anonymous said...

Glitzlady yes thanks for the news. Wish Sleepwalker had gotten more airplay in Canada, but this is great. Adam tweeted to buy Simon Curtis new album on itunes. I listened to some songs of his. He has a great voice but lots of overproduced poppy stuff. I hope Adam doesn't go too much in that direction and goes more rock or rock pop. His voice needs to be loud and clear!!!!

That a radio DJ Alan Freed is credited with naming the black rhythm and blues music he was playing in the early 50's ROCK and ROLL? Ok, I looked at the list of choices, & I didn't read the posts. There's no way I can choose , seriously! Because Adam is such an amazing vocalist! But what you don't have on there are "Voodoo" & "DTRH". Those are amazing songs & they r sexy as hell! Those two songs bring out the theatrical side of Adam , IMO.
But honestly, I couldn't decide between dance & rock ballad, sorry , maybe I just love the Glamrock !
When I first saw Adam's album cover , I was so happy with tears! I thought he looked amazingly beautiful! Maybe his next cover will be fiercely amazingly beautiful! Yea, lotsa leather! That may be one of the big surprises!!! An awesome album cover!
Ok, I'll go vote now, just to make u (24/7) happy! LoL! Mwah!! K

I voted for rock, though anything Adam sings is okay by me. I optimistically predict that, with Adam's international fan base, his second cd will sell very well. It's the US market that needs a kick in the pants. Let's hope that his US fanbase has grown since FYE. I know I'm sounding like a boring old analyst, but this kind of thing really bothers me. I hope and believe that his fanbase goes far beyond those who post on internet sites. Great news about the Canadians giving Adam such great recognition!

I agree with some of you about that picture. If that picture was used for FYE's album cover, the album would have sold over 2 million copies already.

Many people didn't buy Adam's buy because the cover was too glam and outrageous. (Don't get me wrong, I love that cover but IMO it was not a good marketing decision.)

I'm different in that I would buy a CD based solely on the artist that I like, not what the case looks like. I don't need a picture (a fancy cover), you could just sell me Adam's CD in a manila envelope! I'm that much of a fan of his voice I'LL TAKE IT! (In Adam's case I'll buy it --and might I add that I will buy multiple copies of his CD again just as I did with his 'For Your Entertainment' CD! :)
I guess I could care less about the packaging, personally. Yeah, I'm a little different.

Anonymous said...

Adam needs to be on The Voice. He would blow them all away. Keeping in mind this was a live performance, these coaches, albeit talented people and in the music business a long time, need to take lessons from the Master Adam Lambert on how to sing Live! It's no contest. Adam wins every time!

CT

I'm frankly a little confused with all these genres/categories. I want to hear his voice rather than production or lots of electronic sounds. I like everything he does. Can't Let You Go would have been way more amazing if they had let his voice come through over the instrumentation. I want to hear Adam, whatever form it takes. I'm also like 9:00 omg--just as long as it's Adam Lambert.

Anonymous said...

Can't Let You Go is Rock???! I'm not a fan of that song, ditto Broken Open.

My faves are Pop, Dance, Pop Rock, Pop Ballads and Popera with some rock e.g. Whole Lotta Love - Adam's version of it is mind-blowing!! :D

I hope he releases a variety of songs on his 2nd album as he did his first album - something for everyone. <3

@Eva , what does it exactly mean when RCAEd say Adam would be "overexposed"? Burned out fans? I'm still here, you're stil here, I have a moment or two for another artist, but always have my Adam Lambert time!
Since I'm still catching up on my GNT shows, what city would be a good place to go to? Adam mentioned, New Orleans ,Montreal, Quebec , ...

RCAEd didn´t make any sense to me. He never has. But I guess he´s a pro and I don´t know anything about music industry. He actually said that Adam shouldn´t be overexposed, that we should long for him and miss him and that would be the trick. I´m expecting Gaga and Katy Perry to be out of business real soon with their kind of promotion. Five singles in a couple of weeks and album nearly for free on Amazon. Gagas fans never get a chanse to miss her. That surely will be the end for her.

If there is a box for all of the above that is what i'd choose. Adam's versatility as a singer is truly phenomenal so i'd like to take advantage of that huge talent. I don't want him to be restricted in any way. Agree with comments that just like FYE, it would be nice if there is a song for everyone because the diversity of Adam's fans is equally notable.

IMHO FYE is an excellent debut album that catered to almost all kinds of fans. It certainly made everybody happy and no one was left out sulking. If it weren't for the unfriendly radio stations, more people would have been familiar with the many great songs in this remarkable cd. But that is water under the bridge now and even if he was treated that way, that didn't stop him to be a Grammy nominated vocalist. And just look at how his songs are still being used locally and internationally.

Oh dear Adam follow your heart and create the kind of music that makes you happy because that is when you shine.

The best of luck again to your sophomore album and please don't take too long anymore and we are all dying to grab copies of that. ILYSM Your Royal Hotness!

I saw the Queen cover on The Voice and all I could think of was, Adam would have killed it. I associate it with his powerful voice and stage presence. Wish he had been a guest and showed the viewers how it was meant to be sung. I think they should have chosen a different song more suited to the 3 of them. I'm probably biased, but I actually felt a little resentful. I'm sounding more and more like one of the over the top Glamberts! lol funbunn40

I agree @11:24 PM - 'something for everyone' on Adam's 2nd album, not a whole album of rock. I'm not keen either on CLYG and BO but I love "Time For Miracles" and the clip of it is awesome.

I have not voted yet on the genre poll because I like all the genres. Can we click on every box to vote?
Some time ago, A Loaded Smile was posted here, a GNT performance he did in Canada. After I heard it, I thought, wow, how did that get past me! But it has to be sung in a quiet theatre so I guess that's why Adam didn't perform it that many times on tour. Adam sang the whole song in his beautiful falsetto, whole song, with a bit of wonderful bluesy runs in the middle. Adam can sing blues too, I thought. Could it be because it might strain his voice if he used too much of his falsetto as he was performing night after night. And I believe A Loaded Smile was written entirely by him.

Resentful! Thank you, that´s probably the right word for what I feel when I try to watch AI or Swedish Idol after that AI8. I just can´t do it. After a while I feel irritated and angry. This season of AI being the most irritating ever:
"For petes sake, tell the wannabees that they are NO ADAM LAMBERT and they never will be! Don´t tell them they are stars when they are amateurs in comparison!"
Over the top Glambert! Oh well, I can live with that.
We don´t have The Voice in Sweden and I don´t miss it if that means not getting to see Xtina an co ruin a Queen classic (Oh, the chills when Adam took over that song after Kris. Geeeeeez! Sweet memories!)
I can´t chose on that poll. Adam did an excellent mix on FYE. Just do that again!

Yes, Adam does have a voice particularly well-suited for rock. However, what HE listens to is pop rock, dance music and electric pop. So I doubt he feels a huge natural pull to make his 2nd major studio release full of modern rock.

Beyond the issue of his own interests and taste, I don't want Adam to make an all-rock album because rock does not sell well these days except if you are a catalog act (i..e. old act) or if you're Nickelback (which type of music Adam has explicitly said he does not like). He will also never get played on rock radio because he's from AI and because he's gay. Period. Adam had enough of a hard time getting airplay on pop and HAC stations and rock radio is far more parochial, insular and full of themselves, so there is no chance he would have a rock hit.

And Adam has also said repeatedly that he wants to sell a lot of records. He's not interested in becoming an indie-type artist selling a few thousand copies. He wants to be successful, not cater to a small audience and that is what rock is today -- largely old acts catering to an ever smaller audience.

Sorry, folks, but those are the realities.

I do not want Adam to have his critically important 2nd major studio release to become a low-selling, low-profile product that becomes a punchline or worse, because that is certainly what would happen. The blogs and music site headlines would read: "Yet another idol finalist hits the sophomore slump with an ill-advised foray into rock."

I think it's time to wean ourselves from the unrealistic notion that Adam is going to be or even wants to be today's rock god. Not gonna happen.

Actually it doesn't really matter if he is a rockgod, rockstar, megastar, superstar etc. as long as Adam, the multi-faceted, super-talented singer of all time is given the due merit and respect for his talent and ingenuity. Not always to be outdone by singers who are just a shadow of what he is as an artist. Very unhappy whenever he is ranked second especially when there is such an enthusiastic worldwide demand for him. His worldwide sales too are outstanding. This second position syndrome must end!
The picture of Adam stretching up his right hand with microphone, is his signature pose. Love this pose!

It doesn't matter to me what Adam sings. He is in a league of his own and is the best talent in the music business today.Unfortunately for whatever the reasons, his first album was not promoted aggressively by his management/record company. Sometimes airplay was non-existent. I was actually surprised to hear WWFM early this morning; hadn't heard it in a while. There were so many great songs that could have been released as a single. I was very interested in the comments made by ANON @4:32am. Being such an Adam fan, I was taken aback by the remarks, and yet to some degree what was said may have some validity to it unfortunately. I don't think this is an Adam"hater", but someone who seems to know the music industry and what it requires to be successful in it today. I hope it is not true because Adam deserves to be successful and I know a lot rides on this second album. He is interested in quality rather than quantity as we see from Gaga, Rihanna, Katy Perry, etc. who just release song after song with a video. Since he is older than most of these younger performers, he has to make his mark now and produce songs that will sustain him in the years to come. I think the glitz and glam are gone and he is looking for a new image/persona which we may have seen from the concert in Moscow. I will always be one of the more "mature" Adam Lambert fans, and am looking forward to his second album in the fall. Adam Lambert is a dynamic performer both musically and visually owning the stage with an audience connection that is pure electricity. I wish only the best for him as he moves on to the next stage of his career.

I am from Ontario Canada and am wondering how I can purchase Adams next cd so that it will count as American numb for album sales. Any suggestions. I will of course buy some here as well, but I want to aid in the platinum sales in the US.

Wow! "Adam Lambert is a genius born social media" Hollinsworth and Underwood. observation.
A real and valid recognition for Adam! Congratulations, a great thrill to be fairly valued, one of the many merits, which owns our superstar.
Thanks to the fans who sent this link on the talented Pittman

I agree with your remarks, that true rock right now is somewhat limited and might reduce Adam's marketability. I seriously don't think he will go straight rock anyway, but may have a rock "edge" to some of his new music. He was already there with WWFM, Sleepwalker, etc.

Pop seems to be the way to make the Top 40 stations right now and being that it seems to be the mark of "success" currently in the music industry, that would be the way to go, in some form or another. Pop covers a wide range of musical "styles", as evidenced by the Grammy nominations for Adam's category of Best Performance by a Male in Pop (or whatever the exact title was..). I also see a lot of "crossover" from country to pop right now, and we know he's not going THAT direction! Although, as an aside, even Gaga has a song ("You and I") on her new album that to me has an unmistakable "country" feel to it, which I thought was interesting, so hmmmm...

I have faith that Adam knows what he needs to do with his next album without compromising his ability to show off his voice to its best advantage. He has the ambition, drive, energy, and talent that it takes to give it his best shot for major stardom. I loved his first album, and expect this next one to be even better..I love the mix of styles of music he gave us the first time around, and never understood the criticism, either of the music, him, or that it was "confusing". I think a certain percentage of it (criticism) was music snobbery and ignorance, and a bit of bigotry, mixed in with that purported "Idol contestant bias". I also love the fact that he was given a lot of kudos by those who know good music and appreciate his talent. I guess I would ultimately love to have Adam best known as "The Music/Vocal God"...I'll take it however I can get it...

So I guess my answer to the poll question would be: Whatever Adam wants to give us, I'm ready! He does everything well, and I can hardly wait........I know we have to be patient, but I can't help but be ANXIOUS!

Do you have any American friends who could purchase for you? Are you close to the border??? Just two thoughts...I have a friend who is just over the border from me in the Vancouver BC area and I have done a couple of things for her. Maybe that would work for you.

Thanks! We do have fun "following" Adam, don't we?!

Adam song wish list ummm :)

Re: Genre, I'm about ready to throw that limiting term away when it comes to Adam, He Who Can Sing Anything. I want Adam to use his full range of whatever he's got to work with. He doesn't need a "singular Adam sound" like more limited singers (i.e. Keisha). I do believe this brilliant singer needs brilliant music to sing & that he does not have to write all his music himself. I'm thinking memorably brilliant like Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen or other operatic rock, Come On Baby Light My Fire by the Doors, Imagine by john Lenon, Crazy or Night Life by Willie Nelson.

Call me crazy, but I can visualize an Adam/Willie Nelson (one of the best American song writers of all time) collaboration. Adam gets this visceral, haunting, mournful quality in his voice that sends shivers down your spine(Cant Let You Go, Sleepwalker, Soaked) that reminds me of Patsy Cline. Can you imagine what an Adam Lambert twist on Crazy or Night Life or I Fall to Pieces might sound like?!!! Yes, I love the idea of Adam singing DARK, gut-wrenching ballads.

With his sense of rhythm I also love him singing hard, throbbing rock backed by flailing guitars ala WLL, 20th Century Boy, or Sure Fire Winners. I would also love another Fever (dance?). But, isn't rock typically developed within the context of one's own band? Adam's got a good one. Why aren't these talented musicians jamming together, generating good music? They seem so in sync. I don't get that. Look at the Doors with Jim Morrison--they made his lyrics work or Freddie Mercury with Queen.

I especially want to hear Adam sing Blues, even jazz ala Adele. I adore her. I can hear him singing songs like hers--which are very melodic, artful, and interesting. They have all different kinds of moods. I like her interludes (bridges?) where she changes it up (i.e. slows it way down) or inserts an entirely different type of music for a few moments. And, her lyrics are very sophisticated (not dumb & stupid like I'd catch a grenade for you") I love Adam singing A Change Is Gonna Come & Feeling Good Studio version--among my favorites. The latter is particularly stunning in that it shows off the purity of his tenor & how--just when you think he's taken it way high, he takes a left turn & effortlessly sends that voice up into the stratosphere, sending shivers down your spine. I love how he acts, phrases, & plays with the notes in that song. It gives us a hint of what Adam would sound like singing jazz, which I suspect would blow us away.

And I would so love to hear stage music written just for Adam, maybe a whole musical theater production with him in mind. I dont mean the boring stuff like by Greenday or Bono (Spiderman). Bring in Andrew L. Webber, Elton John, David Bouie, or a young Leonard Berstein. My absolute favorite Adam song may be his My Conviction. The sophistication of his singing at only age 21. Just wow. The counter tenor notes. The playfulness. The camp. (I love the camp when he performs, i.e. his facial expressions in Strut & Fever Louisville)

Theatrical songs I'd love to hear Adam sing include Pity the Child from Chess, There's a Place for Us from West Side Story(could become an anthem for diverse lovers--or people who feel different--if he sings it), Where Is Love or As Long As He Needs Me from Oliver, Cole Porter songs like Night & Day (many of which are written double entendre--could be sung gay or straight), Maybe This Time from Cabaret.

I'd like to hear some delightful surprises in Adam's vocals or backing instrumentation, i.e. classical or jazz elements. I love hearing him sing against a real piano (Zack was great). Maybe a cello or mournful fiddle (ala Bob Dylan). I love when Adam gets an opportunity to project that powerful voice; it takes off like a jet engine & fills up an entire space.

As far as what I'd LIKE to hear Adam sing, absolutely agree: anything and everything...and I think we will as his career goes along...But for his next album: guess we'll see. Depends what he is aiming it towards: radio play or the "bigger picture", which I hope is more the case. His voice has no limits and I hope someday soon, none are imposed upon it.

I agree, I want to hear it soar. Sexy, bluesy, with a rock edge...Or operatic, with a bluesy edge, and of course all of the fun things he does....Jazzy, with a bluesy edge...I love all of your thoughts. I personally think Top 40 radio is too limiting for him, but I guess perhaps HIS next goal is to get that pop culture recognition, and then branch out to where he really should be, with the truly great singers of the world. I always go back to "Whole Lotta Love" Fantasy Springs, as one of my all time favorite Adam virtuoso performances...Or, as you said, "Feeling Good" his AI Studio version..I can still remember my husband and I listening to it in the car right after I downloaded it from iTunes, and after the AI Finale. He turned to me and said (paraphrasing here..) "Anyone who cannot appreciate what a fabulous singer and what a spectacular voice Adam has, is an idiot. That is just unbelievable. I mean LISTEN to that VOICE! The control, the range, and the beauty of it are all perfect." I really think that so many have not had the chance to hear Adam's truly amazing voice, and I hope his next album changes all that.

I hope it gives him that opportunity to soar.

Wow, Kentucky Fan, that was impressive! Yea, I love There's A Place For Us and also Somewhere Out There, Phantom Of The Opera...Imagine Adam wailing Sing! Sing for me! These really seep into one's mind and spirit. Adam's talent cannot be missed, all it takes is one big break or opportunity and everyone will wake up to their senses. A parallel may be, someone has a precious diamond and simply leaves it hiding in a drawer...doesn't make much sense though. Somehow the international people recognise the value of this precious diamond in the drawer, much quicker.

Adam said in reply to one of the tweets in one of his Twitter parties recently that Pop is his favorite genre. He also said in another tweet that Pop encompasses a number of genres (or words to that effect) so I hope he continues in that vein. The FYE album is a total knock-out in the best possible way - I adore it!! <3

Kentucky fan and Glitzylady, excited their wishes known, I agree with you about what we want to hear from Adam, excellent share their insights and, Glitzylady I have an anecdote, like his, my husband and appreciate music therefore recognizes and applauds the exceptional talent Adam, does not quite understand why I do not win on Idol and likes to listen to the fabulous period Pre Idol and some of its excellent performances later, though not a fan, believes that Adam, meets all the conditions of an Icon.
Sorry for the translation.

Since someone says vehemently Adam is not going to be a rockgod, I haven't ruled that out yet; why don't we crown him King of genres for the time being.

@June 8 4:32, THANK YOU! Finally another Adam fan that sees reality. I agree with everything you said. I've always suspected that Adam favorite music genre was dance/pop. I'll also venture out and say something else, though I know I will get pounded for it. Just from judging Adam's past performances, I think Adam wanted to be an innovator and bring the underground gay dance club type of performances to the mainstream music audience. And I think he got slapped down hard for it. I also think the powers that be may have thought that also and are telling him "no" in no uncertain terms. Does anybody else think that?

Can't Let You Go isn't a rock song!

I agree, King of Genres is a perfect title for Adam butI hope he never sings country, hip hop and/or rap.

I wouldn't mind Country, there are some crossover beautiful ballads.....not the whiney stuff.
