Is this really official? I haven't heard it from Adam himself yet? Honestly all of Adam songs on his album are all great. I would be happy to see any of his songs made into a single and music video.

Speaking of videos, we should vote on VH1 as much as we can early in the week. I read something about that months ago, and I swear, there's something to it.

Thank God ! FYE was a failure he should have released Whataya Want From as the first single, then If I Had You, then Sleepwalker and then Fever. Now i doubt there will be a fifth single :(

if he releases sleepwalker he should clean up background

On the Fever thread, I mentioned my co~worker who saw the Leno Sleepwalker performance and LOVED it, and she is totally unbiased (unlike myself) so I think, if this true, its a very smart choice....When they say "international" does that mean the US as well....hope so....

Sleepwalker is my favorite for the next single, with a close 2nd for VooDoo. I love them both. VooDoo would be great for the sound - it is a good Dance Tune.

Sleepwalker should be REALLY international, i.e. released at the same time in ALL countries, including North America. Like someone said above, Adam and his band's performance of this song on Leno was INCREDIBLE. Perhaps the Leno show would let Adam's team use snippets for publicity?? Would be great if the vid could come out exactly at the end of his US tour, September 21st, to coincide with the Fall's crop of music.

On a totally separate subject, I will FINALLY see Adam's show this weekend. My dream (I know, I can only wish) is that since it will be an outside venue with tons of people on site, I would love to hear WWFM in full gear, hear a similar version of Sleepwalker as the Leno one and perhaps have one of the encore songs different than what we've seen on YT since the beginning of the tour. I know, it's not an ADAM tune, but people would go nuts for Time for Miracles followed by WLL. These 3 songs also show off Adam's rockier side which I love.

It would be a horrible decision for them to release FEVER for the US, and then SLEEPWALKER for the rest of the countries. FEVER will not be well received here in the US due to homophobia.

I hope they do SLEEPWALKER For the whole world, including the US.

IVe been hoping for Aftermath, Sleepwalker, Fever for a looong time. 2 live shows for me now and SW got me to tears both times. As a side note..WHY is it ok for Katy Perry's "I kissed a girl and I liked it" to play what feel like 7500 times a day on radio..but one little line of Fever.."there he goes my baby.." causes homophobic reactions? Double standard at it's finest, makes me so mad! Anyway, stoked about SW release and hope it gets the recognition it deserves!

I love this song but don't love the version on his album. His performance of sleepwalker on Leno was fantastic. The emotion I hear in concerts and heard on Leno is not what's on the album. I hope Adam re-records more in line with what he's doing on the concert scene and the way he did the number on Leno. The version on the album is a snoozer--IMO.

Someone said that Sleepwalker on the CD is a snoozer... That is exactly the reason why I like to listen to it in my late evening car trip on my way home...Sleepwalker in my car put me in the right relaxing mood to set aside the troubles of the day and prepare myself for a good night sleep.

i agree that Adam's live version is so much more exciting than the album single of Sleepwalker. Can he do a radio version of it? I think some things were added to If I Had You for the radio before it played on the radio.

I love all of Adam's songs and I hope SLEEPWALKER is a HUGE HIT, but I thought FEVER should have been next--however, I do understand the homophobia backlash. Sad to say, the US of A is still backward in that area.
You go, Adam, your fans adore you and will keep on loving you no matter what single you release. I do agree SLEEPWALKER and VOODOO would both make fabulous videos.

def should clean up background noises on recording. We cannot appreciate Adam's voice. Yes, when he sings this in person its so much better. Strange that usually its the other way around with the so called recording artist of today. On their records their voices sound so strong and in tune, but once they sing "live" the majority of them are terrible. Hope the "powers that be" read these blogs and take notice and let Adam's voice soar above the music as it should.

The song choice is perfect. The rendition is perfect. The emotion and truth in the song is achingly perfect. Needs no touch up, no changes, no remix - it is perfect!! Of course it's a massive trip to listen and watch him sing it live but the studio version on the CD is as close to perfection as you can get. One of my fav experiences is to put on my IPOD headphones and coordinate it with a video of Adam singing Sleepwalker - gives me friggin' chills!! Adam and Ryan Tedder, you did good (and it was recorded in Denver which gave it Rocky Mountain high ....clear perfection!!

Would love to have Sleepwalker released here in the states and can't wait to see the concept for the video. I even have ideas in my head for the video already.

Here's an idea for the video - the haunting, gut-wrenching picture hanging in the empty hallway needs to be one of Adam and the person/persons running into walls, remaining in a dream and "Sleepwalking", needs to be clearly portrayed as the rest of us.

over it when we are in the car. Seeing him in person is
different but we are thinking of radio play here. I think alot
of us giving our opinions here are middle-aged women (myself
included) To be fair to Adam's success, maybe all of us try polling some of the younger demographic - maybe some who arent
already die-hard fans of everything he does.

I think Sleepwalker is a great choice. I hope they incorporate some of the effects from the Glam Nation Tour into the video. I am so looking forward to this b/c Sleepwalker is so moody and emotional and intense!!!!!

Well, after reading all of the positive comments about Sleepwalker i hope you're all right!! Sleepwalker is definitely my least favorite on Adam's album.
Oh well, I'm looking forward to his next album!! Time for some Rock & Roll!!!

The tag line to this article clearly states that "Adam will release Sleepwalker as the new International single". I think that means for the International audience, not America. If you recall, his international CD had more and different tracks on it. So I'm thinking that maybe Sleepwalker will not be the next single here. As far as I've read and heard, they've only had FYE and WWFM. I could be wrong though.

Sleepwalker one of my favs on his album, but I think international release does not mean USA. He has released in different order internationally and we may not get a new video here.

Leno performance rocked and I think he would get more airplay from the rock radio stations with Sleepwalker.
Personally,I love anything he sings, but would like him to have a #1 hit hear in the US!

I'm hoping it's a cleaned up live version. Then again, if Adam does release an acoustic EP he will probably stay with the CD version for the single. Question: Does anybody else think "international single" mean it will go overseas but not here? Not sure how they are using the word. Anyway, I may be more excited about the acoustic EP. Hoping it will include live Aftermath, and who knows, he may do an acoustic CLYG to get it out here in the States. We can dream. . .

Ada, released FYE in the US, then in Asia and finally the UK. Them to say Sleepwalker to be released internationally, what do you Peeps think international means? It means all over at once. Get it? Sheesh!

I posted on the "Fever" thread that I was happy about Fever and that I don't think the gay angle is gonna make that much difference (although, y'know, the song does mention menage a trois! LOL!). I agree with a few above as far as terminology -- in the record industry, or even film industry, releases are considered "Domestic" or "US" and "International." That isn't to say SW isn't going to be the next single here, it may, but not definite. I'm glad some folks are mentioning about the low energy nature of the album version of the song. That's how I feel. And I also feel, like some, that when I heard it in concert it gave me a whole new opinion of the song -- MUCH MUCH better. Gave me hope that it could be a hit, and it sounds more commercial, more like something OneRepublic would release. I think one of the folks above who mentioned that it should be released as a Live single is a great idea and I hope RCA picks up on that. Still, I'd prefer to see Fever now, and SW, say, in November. But let's see what happens. I wish IIHY would pick up, but I do think they need to get another single out, and fast. No matter WHAT it is.

I love Fever and really think the bias against Adam is still from the AMA backlash and ignorance. I don't think the word "he", as in there he goes would make any difference in sales. The song, voice and beat is great.Those that like Adam will buy it. Those that see more of what Adam is about thru' GNT, TV,etc are becoming fans and changing their opinions. Fever is mild, compared to what is already out there. He has accomplished a great deal and much success in a very short amount of time. The fans he has are the most supportive and passionate and once the uniformed are exposed to Adam, they will come. I don't like the Gaga connection with Fever, it's not good for Adam. Besides, Gaga is not worshipped in Europe, but mostly tabloids make fun of her. I'm gonna be terribly annoying by telling this, but a Finnish Idol judge said that Gaga has no style and she looks like an averige cow. Yes cow. Lmao. I didn't like the man before, but i like him now.

Sleepwalker is almost four and a half minutes, possibly too
long for radio play and it's fairly boring in parts.

I think Fever is a better choice - I guess he's just so scared of possible backlash and I can see his point.
Adam has been hailed as the Rock god but so far none of the
releases have been very Rock-like. Fever has the most rock style on the album. IIHY is up tempo but definitely not a
rock feel. The trend is going more to theatrical than rock
imho. Hopefully, we'll see more on the next album.

Adam has never said he's a Rock God, that was the judges. He currently loves electro/dance/pop, with a bit of Glam rock thrown in, he sings what he likes listening to.

Like Randy Jackson said, "He can sing the phone book!" It's easy to put a label on performers as they usually fit a label. I think he is so diverse that we're not sure what label to give. Maybe we shouldn't try and just let him do whatever he's feeling and bring his professional, creative magic to the universe. So far it's working. funbunn40

Anon 4:53 and 6:19, I agree with you. I hope you guys are right about Sleepwalker. It is probably my least fav on the CD. My fav is Pick U Up. Obviously I am in the minority as I see little fanfare for Pick U Up unfortunately. Oh well...either way I hope it is a huge success for Adam. He greatly deserves continued success.

I LOVE the live version of Sleepwalker!That's what we need for a new video...a profesional video from his concert,or an acoustic version( NOT the FYE album version)Adam did say he didn't have a say in some,or all of the mixing on the CD.I loved the version that Adam sang on Leno..It was perfect..the other great version was in Erie,Pa. on 8-10-10,I believe.
