Adam Lambert's Malaysian show succeeds over protests

Adam Lambert got his opportunity to perform in Malaysia Thursday, and the message of love ultimately won out. The show has been the talk of the entire news world all week, as the government specifically asked him to tone down certain aspects of his show's sexuality.
Ultimately, the "American Idol" singer kept his word in that there were no male-on-male kisses during the concert. However, he did manage to pack in as much glitter and leather as usual into the set. There were still protests outside the venue by the Islamic PAS (the same party who wanted the concert banned from the concert), but there are no reported incidents at this time. Thankfully, much like some protests during Adam's show this past summer in Kansas City, the protests ultimately had no impact on what happened inside the stadium.
From here, Adam will get the opportunity to escape some of the government limitations of Malaysia, as he is heading next to New Zealand and Malaysia for a string of shows. Not only that, he is going to sing on the Australian version of "X Factor."

The last paragraph reminds me of something funny, but probably true, hopefully true ;), that someone said on here recently - something to the effect of how lucky the fans/attendees will be who are in the audience for the concerts immediately following Adam's concert today... cuz maybe AL will be lettin' loose just a little bit extra :)! His concert today was awesome, perfect just as it was for sure, would be no need for AL to do anything differently next concert, but I also certainly wouldn't complain at the AL we sometimes get who dares to show a little more sensuality (and hip action, lol).

In my post above at 8:02pm - I don't like how "young gay man who chose life" sounded, I apologize. It sort of sounded like - well, gave some sort of negative slant to those fragile souls who didn't make it through - I regret my choice of words, I'm very sorry if they offended anyone. I meant to sort of convey that Joel Burns seemed to get from his parents and other places what he needed to make it through... and how beautiful that is.

These protests are actually turning out to be a "blessing in disguise" for Adam! Look how much pulicity he gets from all over the world without seeking for them and the fans are loving him even more! And the best part is, Adam always comes out the victorious one! :) Halelujah!!!

@Anon at 8:14pm - I will have to agree with you on that because when two negative articles about the GNT came out in Manila i checked with Ticketworld and they said that those even helped in ticket sales. Somehow people get curious and more interested to see what the hype was all about. Which hopefully translates into more and more converts.

I'm for anything that sells albums, downloads, get Adam out in the public so they recognize this phenomenal talent. Could be naive, but I am sure it is just a matter of time that he is such a big star, the World is his domain. Thanks for all the on current items that pop up all day. It's going to be a dry spell for a couple of days. Maybe do some ordinary weekend things for a change and keep my computer dark.

Just curious is your internet browser "Internet Explorer"? You should try switching to "Mozilla Firefox". I can guarantee you, you will not have this problem and it's a lot faster too! Hope this helps. :)

I would view IIHY on VH1 if I could, but all of Adams songs on VH1 (except FYE) are blocked in my region. It´s strange bc I can watch them on YT and other sites. VH1 doesn´t want anyone out of US to know about Adam?!

Not to disagree with anyone, but Vh1 has actually been very good to Adam this past year. They are still promoting his Unplugged and Posted and I have not had any problems viewing his music. That said, I haven't been on the site for a few days, so will go and check myself.
