In my opinion, I think Adam should cancel that concert. I don't want any of those "weirdos" and wackos attacking him (emotionally and physically). I'm all for Adam's safety FIRST.

Maybe Adam can tour Malaysia when the country improves? I never respect a country when their law says homosexuality is a crime etc etc. Is that country still stuck in the 18th century?

Adam should cancel nothing! How does that help? Adam is smart. He needs to continue what he is doing. Minor adjustments without compromising his artistry are fine. It's done all the time. Gaga did that when she presented to the Queen. Adam fans know that his talent is so great that all he has to do is stand up there and sing. The rest of it is just fun and glitz. I admire Adam so much for his intelligent stance. He is a hero.

At least they told him ahead of time, giving him a chance to change a few things. It would have been a lot worse if he found out afterwards, like the AMA show. So I assume no kissing, and no bumps and grinds, which still leaves him with a great show, that they should enjoy. Might have to tame Brooke down a little when she is introduced. Its not the first time he has done this, he usually does change things for a family oriented show. He might leave out FYE. His voice carries the show anyway.

I have complete confidence in Adam and his decisions. He is, after all, extremely intelligent.

When an American arrives in another country, they are under scrutiny unlike no other. That an openly gay American entertainer is going to a muslim country to perform is an atrocity for that country. Adam's every word and movement will be under a microscope with Kuala Lumpur hoping to find something so they can make an example of him. What will they do with/to him? In light of those responses the Malaysian government would look very foolish and mean-spirited stepping in against Adam in any way. The eyes of the world, and the world's youth, will be on him for this performance. Adam is a real hero to me, a true AMERICAN treasure. Adam is very intelligent, and he will not take any chances with his dancers, band, crew, or himself. He can tone it down a lot and the important part of his concert will still be intact.....his fantastic voice. I agree....maybe the dancers will be a little too sexy, and I really don't know how they can tone it down and still keep the flow, but hopefully everyone will tone down. I attended two of the GN concerts......loved them.......but if Adam had just sat on that staircase or stool and sang all the songs, I would have loved it as much as I did with all the glitz. I am Adam Lambert's fan. I live in Malaysia. I am going to his concert. And I am a Muslim. PAS is the opposition party and not the governing party in Malaysia. They protest any damn thing. I recalled I attended one foreign concert where PAS was protesting. I was there and there so call protest was PAS members (15-20 people) giving out flyers and preaching about something outside the concert hall. Every concert goers ignore them. And nobody stone anybody in Malaysia.

Sure, we have Islamic political parties and homosexuality is against the law here, so what? Adam is not the first celebrity to perform here. You still get back your Mariah Carey, Muse, Gwen Stefani, Avril Lavigne, Brian Molko, Gerard Way, Kelly Clarkson, Kris Allen (and loads of other celebrities) in one piece even after they’ve performed here. I can’t believe my ears, eyes etc too when I heard that Adam’s coming to KL (and the news came in the holy month of Ramadhan! *shudder*) PAS could’ve protested there and then if they knew about Adam and his stage antics but no. They waited until a week before the show to protest and threaten to cancel the concert, which is pretty lame by my standard. (Note to PAS: Be more proactive!)

My point is, PAS have and always will protest to any concert in Malaysia, for the fear that it will bring social ills and set a bad example to the youngsters. And yes, we have our own constitution, rules and regulations but I believe that Adam is one smart cookie ~ he’ll know what to do! Can’t wait to see you in Bukit Jalil. When in "Japan" do what the Japanese do? That old saying is just a common statement that is made out of respect when visiting another countrys. We have to be mindful of their traditions. Adam should be mindful and not disappoint his "fans" at that location. No one wants harm to come to Adam ofcourse not. He shouldn't be offended by this because he is a smart cookie. I always laugh when I hear that a country or a person is "against" homosexuality or that it should "outlawed." That's like outlawing blue eyes or flat feet. It's what you are inside, not necessarily what you DO. A person can be completely celibate their whole life and still be gay, just like a straight person can be completely celibate and still be straight. A sex act doesn't make you gay or straight. It's what you are inside, how you're born. So, there's no "outlawing" it. A person is always what they are, regardless of whether they act on it or not. "Outlawing" homosexuality doesn't make it go away.

Just a couple of questions if you're still there. If the PAS is insignificant, why is Adam changing part of his show. We don't know yet what he is changing, but it is clear he feels he can't do his normal routine.

Glad to know that you will be ready with your glitters! Btw I adore Carmen Su. She appeared once in a tv series(abscbn) in Manila, just couldn't recall exactly when. There were other Malaysian actors and actresses who where very good in that show. I also have Malaysian friends here.

Even if Adam tones it down out of respect for your culture, i know that it will still be a stellar performance. After all, what he needs to do is just sing his heart out for all his Malaysian fans. Hope you have a blast.

To the Malaysian fans that have commented, thanks for putting a voice of reason in this thread. Malaysia is a beautiful country with great people. Yes its a muslim country, but like all relgious places, most people are fine, good people and want to enjoy music and concerts like everyone else. All countries have their fanatics that cause problems for everyone else - even the States.I'm sure Adam realised what he was letting himself in for when he agreed to play there.

The decent crowd size at the MOA which is a huge venue is a clear validation that Manila loves Adam. It may not be a sold-out GNT but on a Sunday at a very far venue, with very minimal concert promotion plus the pricey tickets,we can already say that the turnout is remarkable.It is nice to find a fellow Filipina who gets Adam as well.Kind regards.

It's ignorance and fear that gets everthing out of context. What kind of faith do people have in Adam? He is quite capable of knowing what's expected. He is an intelligent world traveller...
