Sasha makes such definite and beautiful shapes when she dances, strong and graceful - she's so wonderful to watch. If she wins, will she still dance with Adam I wonder? I do hope she wins. We love you Sasha!

Got my computer back from grandson. I have some catching up to do. Sooooo happy for Sasha, she is a wonder on her feet, floor, air, off walls, etc. She sure can move and move very quickly. Great balance. I hope she wins, because she is excellent.

7:45 Pia does well singing on the tour too. They all do so well.I am glad I was able to see the show.

I don't think Sasha is that tall (but I can only base that on seing her next to other ppl in pix and in videos) yet her legs always look SOOOO long (and strong) because she knows how to extend them...such strong lines and confidence, that girl has! (a little Yoda-speak for you) It's like she can step outside herself and see the shapes her body will carve in the air, right down to her fingers and toes, and then execute them with power and grace. An amazing combo! Just like Adam (I can always bring it back to Adam, right?) - the power of his voice, tempered by the humbleness of his ego.

Isn't Sasha gay? I am having a flash back to Adam entering the upper eschelon of AI and ppl speculating about his gender preferences. Although maybe it's not so "obvious" (that's not the word I'm really looking for...but it'll have to do) in Sasha - probably won't sway people when it comes time to vote, which, sadly, it did when it came time to vote for Adam (that is just my opinion, but you can't tell me any different!!). I can't see ppl labeling her as "the gay dancer" after this competition, either, and yet Adam is still the being dogged by his title of the "openely gay singer". Will be interesting to see what happens (if anything) in Sasha's case.

Whew - still trying to catch up after being on vacation...is going to take me awhile!

Have you noticed that "hiddenly gay" performers don't get the static.......even after they "come out" from their years of lies? They get patted on the back and told how brave they are.

Yes, I have noticed that. The judgemental people don't care if people are gay as long as they don't live an openly gay lifestyle. Sasha does not dance with females on stage or talk about it, nor does she have pictures on the internet of her with another woman(as far as I know), so she won't get any flack. It's so sad how oppressed gay people really are. Unfortunately, many people believe suppressing one's homosexuality is the righteous thing to do.

Sister, which thread is the Gang of Eight story on? Don't know what <> means. I want to read it! Also, go Sasha!

Why are people bring up Sasha sexual orientation at this time? Are you trying to sway the vote against her? Because it shouldn't matter what her sexual orientation is, so why mention it? IT IS A DANCE COMPETITION!

After watching Sasha on SYTYCD each week, I am really amazed at what a strong dancer she is. She is so fierce and talented. She never really got to show her stuff on the GNT. Sure would like to see her win.

Exactly, anon 11:28. And AI was just a SINGING COMPETITION, and yet, Adam's sexuality was brought up/into it, as ridiculous as that seems, because it should have nothing to do with singing - right?? But that was suddenly linked with his singing ability by the media, sensationalized, bantered about to the point where the public began associating his sexual prefence with his singing and there is speculation it might have contributed to his coming in 2nd, rather than 1st. Ppl (the media) can't drop the "gay" label to this day...it's always referenced when Adam is being discussed.

My point in bringing it up was to point out how absurd it was for ppl to focus on that, in Adam's case, and hoping Sasha doesn't get the same treatment. I am in no way trying to sway votes. I have voted for Sasha because her talent is immense, and her sexuality has (should have) nothing to do with her dancing...just like Adam's should have had nothing to do with his singing...and yet, that's all anyone wanted to focus on (to this day, even).

Just thinking back to, and pointing out, the irony of Adam's situation as he got near the end of his competition and hoping the media doesn't start delving into Sasha's personal preferences in the same way. No harm meant, or intended.

Exactly, 5:06 anon. The media haven't brought up Sasha's preferences and tied them in to her performances on this show (maybe it's not on their radar) and who she is as a person, as they did with Adam near the end of AI - and I hope it stays that way. Just bringing up the injustice of why they brought it to the forefront in Adam's case, when it didn't need to be about that at all.

I keep worrying Nigel will say something. I was furious with him last year or the one before when he told a wonderful inventive young boy...I'm not sure you'll be safe after that routine (the boy was wearing a scarf) you just don't seem masculine enough, that may cost you votes! When he called Sasha early on Warrior Princess I clenched up. Probably just dumb of me.
