Sasha's second place finish seems a good place to be.She is fantastic and will go far in the dance world. I hope we see her on tour again with Adam.

I'm shocked and disappointed. Seems like a repeat of 2009.

Kat is all over Melanie physically but obviously didn't even want to give Sasha a hug??? Hum. Guess Nigel pimped Melanie enough. Interesting that with all the Sasha power voting that once again....2nd place. Guess she had her own power voting groupies. Not a dancer's body, and I too am shocked. She was boring all season. i tweeted Sasha and told her that Second is the New First...after all look at what's happened to Adam...then look what has happened to Kris...Sasha will still come out as #1.... love=peace...

congratulations to both Sasha and Melanie they both deserved it. The boys were good too and I bet they will go far also.

I am disappointed about the American Public again choosing Bread and Butter over Hot and Spicy. I was appalled how Sasha was whisked away with some flowers in her hand.
But I know she will have a shining career nonetheless!!! She is fierce and will not give up!

Melanie's look is so Betty Boop, not contemporary at all. Sasha was SO much better. I don't get it.

I also found Kat fairly annoying. Why is it that they must choose someone so tall that the dancers look so short and always someone with a British accent? Do we not have anyone here qualified to do this job?

End of rant, it was just such a disappointment. (Altho I didn't throw up like when Adam lost..) Open your eyes, America!

I think maybe Kat gave them a hug together but the camera cut to the audience and then to the judges clapping. I agree she seemed to be wisked away off stage pretty fast. I'm sure she will have a huge career though. The money would have nice tho

Sasha is brillant. I hope she has many more years touring with Adam. I know he is proud of her.

Sasha is a fierce dancer. She struggled in the eyes of the judges in the finale with the typical “Ballroom type dancing”, but all the choreographers praised her and love working with her. Again the world is not ready for fierce and plays it safe. Both women were very strong.

As for "Reality Shows"...It would be nice if "pimping" your favorite was not allowed. Just give your honest, professional critique and let the audience think for themselves (or in America's case: "Force" them to think for themselves). Why does there have to be so much bias? Melanie on this show, Scotty & Lauren on AI. In both of these cases, the judges did everything they could to push their choice, short of making out with them on stage.
Why bother with having a "voting" show...just have the judges decide.

I feel that Nigel has preordained agendas for the shows he is on, and he gets what he wants. The judging to me was grossly unfair in my opinion. Nigel dismissed the two men before the voting had even begun, and he and Mary tore apart Sasha's Cha Cha, but were more than kind to Melanie for her horrible disco number. She has not really had to perform much out of her comfort zone, unlike Sasha, and though I think she's a good dancer, she had a Mary Lou Rettan body that does not lend itself to grace in my opinion. The way I see it, either Sasha or Marko should have won it. They were the powerhouse dancers.

I would have been OK with Marko also. My hubby walked in the room and just happened to comment. Wow, that girl (Melanie) doesn't have a dancer's body.

Kat wears 6" platforms. Have you noticed she can barely get up those stairs.

Sasha looks so intense, like I feel a dancer should whereas Melanie looks like a giddy 6 yr old with short stocky build and a ridiculous hairstyle.

Sasha is an extremely talented dancer with a loving and beautiful spirit that transpires with all her performances. The universe has many more great opportunities for her. In all our hearts - Sasha will always be number one !!!

They were both great, different entirely but great none the less. I adore Sasha and voted for her the whole way. I bet she woke up to fifty offers to join dance troupes, commercial offers, ACTING offers, and a great call from Adam saying, no matter Sasha, YOU ARE A STAR!!!I wish Melanie best of luck. She is a great girl, but in a year, it will be Melanie who? SASHA MALLORY!!!!!

Sasha was the best dancer without question, but Nigel didn't tell America to vote for the best dancer. He kept saying "Vote for your favorite" and he kept repeating that his favorite was Melanie. When Sasha danced with the All Stars, she was spectacular. The only time she had a problem was when she had to dance with another contestant who wasn't as good as her. But, we know our girl will go on to bigger and better things. Her name is now well known in the dance world.

Apparently, Melanie was allowed to rent a private dance studio so she could practice her performances as much as she wanted to all to herself. She got the best pairing partner, Marko. Also, Nigel gave her full support and pimping on the show. Sasha's down fall was from her earlier routines with that weak partner. That made her to end up at bottom three at one point. There were other girls that were better than Melanie. I liked Catilyne. Oh, how much I wished Sasha to win this thing. I guess most Glamberts didn't jump on the bandwagon when Adam tweeted to vote for her. She was short of more than 1.5 million votes to be a winner. She got All Star and choreograph deal for next season. That's if they can pair her up with anyone of Season 9 Top 10 contestants. This way she gets more exposure and celeb. judges might pick her up for his/her tour. Let's hope Adam's second album will do well that way she can stay as part of the Glamily.

But for right now guys the most important thing to do is to VOTE FOR ADAM TO WIN DO SOMETHING AWARD. ARE YOU VOTING?

@ 4:30, that thought crossed my mind too. I was struck by the way Sasha was treated )or not treated) when they announced Melanie as the winner. WHAT?! All the others had a recap of their time there at least. Maybe they ran out of time and we didn't get to see it? I feel bad for Sasha, but yes, at least she and Adam have something in common. Melanie and Marko are very talented too, but I was so rooting for Sasha. She looked so beautiful last night. All the makeup and beautiful clothes made her really stand out.

Don't mean to be a downer but all these shows are rigged! Glad Sasha got the exposure and after all her routines she darn well deserves to have taken the title. Sasha is a WINNER and always will be, she was fantastic! Way to go girl!

@4:30 - I thought that too but I don't think a lot of people knew of Sasha being gay plus we have a black president now.

But I do think the judges really pimped Melanie and also noticed that Sasha wasn't given a dance that would show her off for the finals. Plus the American public doesn't seem to be very "soulful" sometimes.

I hope Sasha gets something. Adam and Kris both got a car and a record deal - their prizes were fairly similar. They should have had a round of applause, etc for Sasha as well. At least, Kris said, "no way, Adam deserves this". Melanie should have praised her fellow competitors.

Think Sasha will do just fine, but I frequently felt there was some discimination. The ugliest indication was when the hostess had that very terse interview with her and then reached over to SHAKE HER HAND after hugging everyone else. HUH? What was that all about?

I didn't think Melanie was the best of the girls. There were other dancers better than her that got voted off earlier. Not going to blame the fact that Sasha is gay because I'm not sure how many viewers knew that. If anything, it was that judges gave her a hard time and determined indirectly the winner. It is fixed just like Idol. Even Kris acknowledged that--Guy next store singing to his girl versus guy liner. Tell me who middle American is going to vote for...!!!!! Going to vote for fierce scary Sasha or pudgy sweet faced short legged Melanie.

I imagine Cat (correct) was chosen as a host because she was experienced on British television
and the producers and originators of SYTYCD are British. That might account for the British accents of Nigel and Cat! What does her being tall have to do with anything? Dancers are short, which makes her look taller and her wardrobe is pretty smashing so of course she wears the really high heels that are popular now.

That's why she won, no sinister plot! WE thought Sasha was the best, the majority of the voters didn't.

They were both powerhouse dancers but Sasha will get the jobs. Face, figure, posture, grace, versatility - she has it all and will fit better into dance roles and modern genre's. I think that's pretty obvious.

Gaga can have Melanie as long as Adam can have Sasha ;). Sasha Fierce was so much more exciting--the perfect dancer. She was on fire. Yes, 2nd place is definitely the new first place! I would love to see Sasha teach, then dance a paso doble or tango with Adam on stage. I got the sense that the choreographers LOVED Sasha. If Brooke is not available, Adam might want to avail himself of some of the terrific choreographers on this season. I have a sneaking suspicion several are quite aware of and adore Adam.

Does Adam know how to pick talent or what?! And, Terrance in Twist! They all seem to be homesick for the Glam Nation Tour. I know I am homesick for all of them. Can't wait till Adam's next tour. So hope they are all reunited.

P.S. Isn't Brooke getting married any day now? Anyone know if Adam will be going to or even singing in the wedding?

Most dancers are short? I thought long, lean lines were the norm.
That reminds me of a sort-of lame joke my family used to tell about the child that went to watch his first ballet recital where all the girls were on their toes in pointe shoes and he couldn't understand why they had to stand on their toes. He said "Mommy, why don't they just get taller girls?"

Just because the person you voted for did not win, doesn't mean that the show/contest is "rigged". Both Melanie and Sasha are exceptional dancers, each with a distinctive style. Because we as Adam's fans know her from the GNT, of course, we would have wanted her to win. America voted and they preferred Melanie. But as we know, coming in as the runner up doesn't mean you lost. Look at Adam and all the success he has had. I am sure that Sasha will have many doors open to her from choreographer, to other dance groups, to the Broadway stage and even to acting. She was a wonder to watch each week and since this was the first time I had ever seen SYTYCD, her performances made it so much more memorable. However, I could have done without Mary Murphy's screeching and yelling. And the pro choreographers esp. Sonya and Tyce were simply amazing in the routines they arranged for all the dancers.

Don't get me wrong, I think that Melanie is a great dancer; however, I'm surprised she was allowed to rent studio space outside of the allotted rehearsal time. Am I the only one that thinks that’s cheating? The point of the competition is to compete with all else being equal. The fact that Melanie had an undisclosed amount of extra rehearsal time means all else was not equal.

I am truely ashamed to be called a fan of Adam's at this point. The way you all are putting Melanie down is shameful. I picked her out as the best dancer right from the beginning. And as far as pimping goes, I think Sasha was pimped just as much. The fact that she didn't have a dancer's look or body just speaks to how good her dancing talent really is. Both of those girls worked hard. Some of you guys are so UNLIKE Adam. And sometimes the hypocrisy of that is so radioactive around this site, I'm sure it can be seen from outerspace.

These shows are not rigged, not fixed. Quit being suspicious because your favorite didn't win. What poor sports some of you are.

We just had an election in my state and no one I voted for won but I don't think it was fixed, we just have a lot of stupid voters.

loved SYTYCD this year, all the dancers were great and so were the judges and guest judges except I had a hard time stomaching Katie Holmes after her one comment. She acted like Sasha's dancing was so bad she couldn't comment on the dancing just to say she was glad to be there and see her dance or some stupid BS like that. You can tell she thought her comment was so cool. Sorry plain Kate it wasn't.JMO

I'm sorry but I have to comment once again. Sasha lost for various reasons which we can't entirely prove, but being gay isn't one of them. Do you actually think she was the only gay dancer on that show, or black one for that matter??? Please!

YES black dancers have won the show in the past. More than one in fact. I can't believe people are honestly saying that Melanie's hair is weird and her stocky build? I mean come on.... Sasha's hair isn't exactly girl next door. Since when any of this have anything to do with dancing?

Leave race, sex, sexuality, hair, bodies out of it and give all of the dancers the praise they deserve. This is not the place for your political agendas.
