I remember Leila walking in a Gay Pride Parade with Ellen's mother. They are both proud mothers, as well they should be. Congratulations both to Adam and Leila.

This is so deserved. I recently wrote on the PFLAG web that when Adam said he only had Will and Grace to refer to a role models...how he felt so alone when he was young...I put that I had that interview he gave for 20/20 with his mom, Leila. He spoke so honestly. Here was a young man telling the world that he missed his first crush, his first real date etc. because he was closeted in high school. And then he talked about the importance of finding his true love. (Which he seems to have found!) Thanks for that, Adam!

This is very special, Adam is a man of greatness, an individual many will honor , I have a feeling these honorary mentions will be more within different communities. He may become a symbolized figure not just for the gay & lesbian communities , but for everyone. & I need someone like Adam for encouragement, it helps , believe me it helps! Mwah!! K

they just wont let him be will they?

Kelly Clarkson with her interview in Zurich mentions Adam. Check it here at 1:27 and she thought Adam won Idol:

looks like the gay community will be shining brightly adam is being the gay they push him to be. next he will be marching down the streets holding signs up, forget the music.

Following is a recent tweet from one of the main producers in music industry that Adam is working with in studio right now in Florida:

@IamRicoLove: Everything they told me about @adamlambert being an AMAZING vocalist is true! He's killing this vocal!!

anon 6:35 Are you an Adam fan? You need to pay attention! Did you see Kathy Griffin asking our rock star to come on stage to sing with her? DID HE DO THAT? When she asked him to sit down...DID HE DO THAT? When he was asked to kiss any male in an audience in the UK (Sorry, can't remember the host's name) DID HE DO THAT? NO. Adam is his own man. Please grow up. His music has nothing to do with his desire to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
OT @JAK...girl, I am trying to climb the ladder as fast as I can to be important enough to get an invite like this but I think it will take me another year. I did go from first year board member to president the following year, but it is in WA not LA in CA. Sorry...appreciate your offer!

the album is getting closer and closer people. I just watched DWTS's and Chaz did very well despite all the pressure put on him. I think he will make it this week. The person I was all set to dislike was Nancy Grace and she did pretty good too. That guy fron Queer Eye for the Straight guy was a riot (don't know names yet, sorry).

@ lmb

Just wishful thinking, one of these days!
Since you got your promotion and it's well deserved, we know your heart is in their goals,
next year he should be "honored" in WA!

I'm really surprised to see this invitation with an address on it......hope they've hired traffic cops for over eager Glamberts within driving distance!.......JAK

To 4:17 Adam and Leila are gay. Eber is not.

Please do not say things about Adam mom that you dont know 8:15 its not nice

What a lovely honor for Adam and his mother. And I don't think he is the "poster child" for the gay community. He knows who he is, accepts it and is not afraid to be seen out and holding hands with someone he loves. Music will always be very important in Adam's life. If he can serve as some kind of role model for young people who are in turmoil about their sexuality , then so be it. In addition to being so talented, Adam Lambert is articulate, smart, considerate and self-confident. What better traits can you ask for in someone ? I would be proud to have him as a son.

The producer who Adam is working with right now just posted this video showing Adam in studio and PRAISING Adam's vocal talent.

http://www.twitvid.com/QKOD1

Producer name is Rico Love he made hit songs for Usher, Beyonce, Nelly, etc. etc. sold over 16 million.

Well said!

Rico says Adam is a BEAST

Anonymous said...

Rico sent couple of tweets today about his studio session with Adam. He obviously couldn't content himself and decided to do a video as well to tell the world how mesmerized he was hearing Adam's voice. Yes he is a Motha F***** Beast. UNLEASH THE BEAST ASAP RICO LOVE!

To 8:15 Just so you know, PFLAG stands for parents families and friends of lesbians and gays. ( I know...there are 2 f's but that is how it is) It really has nothing to do with one's orientation. You can be gay, trans, bi, questioning etc. and be invited to a dinner like this. I guess we just don't know why Eber was not invited...but it wouldn't have to do with his orientation, or Leila's or Adam's. He may not be a member of PFLAG. It was Leila who marched in Pride Parade with PFLAG. She may have done other things for PFLAG,too. I think his whole family is just terrific!

There is nothing to suggest that Leila is a lesbian, not that it would matter if she were, but spreading unsubstantiated rumours is irresponsible. She has always supported Adam, his friends and I'm sure has much respect and regard for the gay community. She marched in the parade as stated above and I would guess gives other support as well. She and Adam are being honored. Eber could very well be invited as well as Sauli and Neil. Adam is dedicated to his music, but think that he realizes he's in a position to help others in a very beneficial way, in his own, honest way. He gives back to causes other than gay rights also. He's proud to be gay and that's only a part of who he is. I think he's unusually well rounded and extremely bright. He has my admiration and respect, as does Leila, Eber, Neil and Sauli, all first class people. funbunn40

She made good and gorgeous babies eh!!!!

Adams family rocks and nothing to hide!!!!

Adam will make gorgeous babies as well and that's good for the world indeed!!!!

Great, but where's Eber? He is so darn cool.

Awesome. This is wonderful news that Adam and his mom are being honored together. I know he must be so excited. He loves his mom so much, and she has been right in the camera supporting his every move. Both are extraordinary people who want the world to be a better place. Keep on rocking it because it makes a difference!

I think Adam's future will be music, social activism, media entertainment, and family. He will shine in all areas. He is loved.

4:04, I hope Adam makes his gorgeous babies with a female in the natural way. Dont any of his fans not wish this for him. I'm a gay man, in a gay relationship today. I had a monogamous relationship with a woman for awhile to concieve a child. We had our miracle baby and are forever grateful, & thankful to each other for choosing to concieve together in this way. We both have a huge part in raising our child. Its all about love and choices. Our child was conceived out of love, and will always know this. Traditional lifestyle, maybe not, but it works for us.

I suppose Sauli has watched Will & Grace too. They have showed the series here in Finland with reruns. I think Karen and Jack were the best characters. The actor who played the role of Jack just praised Adam on twitter.

Today the Don't Ask Don't Tell anti gay policy officially ends. Thank You President Obama.
I hope the thousands of trained military who were forced out by this ill advised ruling will be able to re-enlist and once more serve their country. It was so ironic to me that many of these were interpreters who spoke Arabic and were needed so badly and missed by the companies they had to leave. We have an all volunteer military and the loss of life and the terrible wounds this generation of young servicepeople
have suffered and many will continue to suffer their entire lives is apalling. Their service is appreciated even though the war on two fronts was a stupid blunder on the part of Bush and Cheney. I can't believe that Cheney is out still pushing his evil agenda with his book tour.
He is truly without conscience.

I am an Army brat and a proud Army wife.

@9:51 am

It is too bad that you slipped and forgot to say you were a proud American. You must say OMG a lot. Obama Must Go!

Proud American, Navy wife who will vote for ABO!

Anonymous said...

@2:12 PM

I never say Obama Must Go nor do I say Oh My God.
I'm not always a proud American, our country has made many mistakes. Life threatening mistakes.
We are not infallible, nor perfect. But I support the efforts of those who are trying to right wrongs.

Adam said, while accepting an award, that he made some early missteps about representing the Gay community. He learned that because of his world-wide celebrity, he feels he must represent and do his part to help victims of prejudice in the Gay community (or something to that effect).

As was stated by an earlier post, Adam is definitely his own man. He will make his own decisions in his own time.

I hope the Adam fans do not bother Adam too much about the release of his music. In good time people - keep the faith!

Congratulations Adam and Leila!

2:41 If you cannot be a proud American, please don't let the door hit you in the butt on your way to another country where you can be proud. Mrs. O. said when her husband was nominated for President..."This is the first time in my adult life that I have been proud of my country." That sucks big time. People like you make me want to up chuck. But, you be sure and vote, because you are so enlightened.

Anonymous said...

@9:51 I am happy we have an all volunteer military because that means our servicemen and women are proud of America, proud enough to fight and perhaps die for her. How does your Army husband feel about you not being a proud American?

Anonymous said...

@ 8:51

Upchuck all you want. My family came to America 26 years before it became the USA. They fought and died in every battle to keep this country safe from outside invaders and inside dividers.
I do vote and read the voting records of the candidates, I don't rely on the fairy tales from their lips or false information or contempt for education and science.

Anonymous said...

@ 12:39 AM

My husband feels the same way I do and yet he was willing to risk his life again and again, even though he saw atrocities that shook him to his core. Many of them committed by our troops.
Have you ever read the statistics on the rate of suicides among our troops? Well, double those figures to get the truth. Wars are not patriotic songs and flag waving by the citizens safe at home, wars are pure hell. Those who see Hell are never quite the same.

the rightwing nuts are on this site again with their love it or leave it mentality. sad.

I don't get why people use that tired old argument, if you don't like it here, get out.
Why not, if you don't like it here change it?

2 quotes from our esteemed Founding Fathers who seem to be getting a lot of mentions from the right. These make you think.

Benjamin Franklin "Democracy is 2 wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch"

John Adams "Democracy does not last and is as corrupt as other forms of government."

Not exactly ringing endorsements but we're still trying to make it work. A little humanity and cooperation would be nice. Preferable to a lynch mob.
