Great to hear that Adam and Bruno will do a duet. I wonder who has stepped on Adams heart in the last 2 years, besides Monte.

Noooooooooooooooooooo! Will just have to make do with the release of "The Hunger Games" on March 23.

What the fuck! Come on adam this is too much

Oh for God's sake...come on. I hate to complain, but I can't think of another artist off the top of my head that backs up release dates like this. Well, except for that one rock band that took 6 years (literally) after the initial release date and ended up being a laughing stock. I understand that good things take time, but this is getting ridiculous. He would have been better off not giving a release date at all and then announcing it a week or so before hand. Of course if I weren't so invested and anxious to get this, I probably wouldn't be bitchin' and moaning about the delay. I preordered my CD the day it was available (deluxe!) so I feel like a kid whose birthday has been cancelled!

Did he actually say a duet or a callaboration. I am full up with all the different interviews and appearances etc, cant remember what I have heard. Like will it be Bruno and Adam singing or just a song Bruno has written. God,soooo confused.
Sick of waiting but Adam must think it neccessary as he is as eager as we are for it to be released.
Still not on itunes NZ.

Damn! I just lost a bet! One of my "non-Adam" friends bet me weeks ago that this would happen. "oh, no", I said. "The record lable even promised!" I hate hearing "told you so, what a joke". You owe me 2 extra songs to make up for it, Adam!

Don't forget to vote for Adam's BTIKM on VH1 Top 20 countdown:

Anonymous said...

Theyr're delaying ot because BTIKM is not doing well.

Anonymous said...

Don't think it's a duet. A collab, yes, IMO. A little longer is ok. RELAX.

Anonymous said...

2:04, oh, for crying out loud. BTIKM is doing fine.

Anonymous said...

Bruno is a WRITING collab - not a SINGING collab.

Anonymous said...

geez, 2nd album could uv been out last year and this could be #3 coming up

Anonymous said...

maybe he still needs to clear up old legal issues before an album appears

Anonymous said...

He's got enough songs written for a third album that shouldn't take so long next time. My excitement is HIGH for Trespassing and it WILL be worth the wait! C'mon, Glams, we're on the home stretch!

Anonymous said...

This woman never gets anything correct. Check Adam's twitter, lady. Bruno has WRITTEN a song for the album!

Anonymous said...

Let's hope Mapril doesn't turn into
Junly... or Augtember...or Ocvember.. or...goodness no...Decanuary 2013!!!!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I'm not going to get upset about the delay. If it will ensure even more great songs and that it will get radio play quicker than that is good strategy. BTIKM is doing just fine. His big promo is going on right now. We have to be patient and I know it will be worth the wait!

if monte hadnt released his it would already been out by now

A duet with Bruno sounds interesting. I like his voice and music, but can't imagine them singing together and what the context would be. I'm sure the album will be so good, but it's like waiting for a baby elephant to be born. (Think it takes 7 years!)..OT @ Adamluv, Waiting for the Hunger Games too. My next door neighbor is an extra in it, but said he thinks he has lots of film time! He does a lot of theatre in Charlotte and I never miss his performances. He's my "adopted grandson!" I'm really proud of him and told him about the audition with 3 hours to spare. He was pretty grateful! haha I told him he can thank me when he gets his first Oscar.

Anonymous said...

Adam said he did collaborate with Bruno and it is confirmed that they will do a duet. Prolly the reason for the delay

funbunn40 said...

@ anon.1:49, I feel your pain and am trying to be patient, but agree, he should have waited before telling us so far ahead, but in all fairness, he's always been so open with us and he most likely didn't realize it would take this long. He's still learning, but it's really tough being on the receiving end! It's really annoying but now I know how pets feel when the're anticipating their treats and they're all gone!

It's really frustrating to hear that there is another delay indeed.....

The real fans can't really wait any longer anymore because we want the whole world to know how great Adams is right??? :) I truly believe that this second album will get a big hit for Adams career and respect from the music industry......

Just a little bit of delay will not hurt us :)))

Have faith everyone and drink more tea for more updates.:)

@funbunn40, you'll have to drop your neighbors name so we can look out for him! That is wild that you told him about the auditions and that he got the part!

I have a sneaky suspicion that Bruno Mars very recently decided to talk to Adam about him singing this supposed Duet WITH Adam and of course Adam would agree! I bet that is what is now holding it up! Adam is working and reworking the album so that he will be the next Best Album of 2012!! Do it Adam! I will be patient for THIS! I know he feels the frustration knowing the great music he has already made and the radio stations that didn't play it or barely played it. He really wants this and so do I. He deserves this. I think that is why his look is also more mainstream. He wants this bad and will do what it takes. Let's get behind hi

This is anon @ 3:42. Did anybody think my post was funny??????
Just tryin to lighten things up.:)

Adam basically said he's working on two Dr. Luke radio-friendly songs and that's what the delay is. Translation, they don't think anything scheduled for the cd is quite right for radio. I respectfully disagree since I love Trespassing, but Dr. Luke co-produced that so he's big in my books.

Adam said that last time around some really hit songs came in at the last minute so you never know.

@2:36, I hate to say it but no, it really isn't doing that well. Last I checked it hasn't eve cracked the top 40 on American charts and the views on his BTIKM video on YT seem to have slowed at around 3 mil and, considering the US is not only the target market but potentially the biggest, that isn't good for the label to see even if he is doing better in other countries. They might not release the album until at least 1 single breaks the top 30. They want to get more than the hardcore/faithful fans to buy the album so that,in their eyes, they get their money's worth. The label seems to have been very supportive of Adam since he signed with them up to now so I'm sure they want to see a return.
I want Adam to success as much as anyone and get the recognition he deserves but numbers are numbers and I can understand why it's being pushed back.

@Canadian; to hell with the tea; this news calls for a big glass of red wine to calm down, lol!

Hey, 1:49 -- There are tons of singers and bands whose albums keep being delayed. And one of them was AI's Kelly Clarkson!! There were delays and delays and delays for her Stronger CD and look how great it's doing now.

One reason might be that Usher (who has the same UK publicist as Adam), is releasing a new album in early April.

Listen, Adam's UK publicist is representing some 10 major, major artists. I'm sure that his label and publicists and Adam himself all know what they're doing (a lot better than all of us!).

Anonymous said...

Adam tweeted that there is a song written by B. Mars but not a duet.

Anonymous said...

@ 6:15,

So be it with a glass of red wine then my dear:)

Good for the heart and listen to good music by Adam indeed!!!

He could have just not told us anything at all. For goodness sake all this crap that is new single is not doing well just is not so. Be patient folks. Adam looks very happy and confident is this CD. Imagine having over 30 tunes to pick from and sorting them all out. That is a blessing for us fans and for Adam. Now saying that the 3rd CD will probably come quicker right? I just hope he doesn't waste all his hard work on bonus CD's etc. because of other country's vs USA may or may not like certain songs. The hell with that crap. Save 'em for the next CD. Look at "Master Plan","I Can't Let You Go" for example and all the other amazing tunes that never saw any air time. Adam is only guilty of being someone people like to work with and has such great results is is hard to pick and choose. Relax and enjoy the ride....don't get off the ride before the journey begins you may miss out.

I am DYING, absolutely DYING to hear this new album..ARRGGHH!!!! BUT....another month or two isn't going to be the make or break time frame for Adam to have a fabulous album...If he thinks he needs to fine tune it...I say "by all means do it!"..He is working on " a couple" of new songs that might just be his chance for some HUGE # 1 hits...which is what he needs to really hit the big time..Maybe an entire album of hits.. And finally get the recognition and praise and massive RADIO PLAY that we fans know he deserves. I'm not going to try to second guess his reasons... I've heard it said by those in the music industry that Trespassing, the album, could be next year's "Album of the Year". And that's based on the tracks they've heard so far..not including the new ones he's working on.

So even tho my VERY selfish little Adam Lambert loving heart was silently screaming "NOOOOOO!!!!!!!" when Adam said the release would be "Mapril" ish (whatever the heck THAT really means...March-ish, April-ish, May-ish..) I trust that he knows what he's doing by adding a couple MORE fabulous "radio-friendly". Translation: songs that those Top 40 Clearchannel program directors who seem sometimes to be reluctant to give Adam airtime, might finally "get" what we've known for 3 years...

May "MAPRIL", whenever it is, get here very, very, very...soon!

Anonymous said...

I hope that with the postponement of the album's release and additional songs being added that it turns out to be as amaaazing as everyone has already stated since they have heard several of the songs. Radio play is so important and I guess they are looking for the next single to release that will really get Adam's name out there with a hit. It has to be a song that gets you moving and singing with it and just makes you want to dance and feel good. This is Adam's sophomore album and we all want it to be successful and make him a force to contend with in the music business. I realize he has done all these promos in NYC, but I don't know if the stations are playing BTIKM. Why does he seem to have to fight so hard to get any kind of recognition for his music? It just doesn't seem fair.

Anonymous said...

Well, BTIKM is a CLASSIC song, but I don't think it's doing as well as expected, but then full promotion hasn't taken effect either. Thought is maybe an in your face, upbeat grit number would been doing better right now.
'Trespassing' would have nitched it! Remembering too, the single is being promoted to the world and not just the fans. (Sometimes I reckon the fans can deal with the promotions better than those in the industry). It appears that might be the case and so back to the songboard for a bit of juggling. Must be frustrating to Adam along with all the fans. But the Master will work it out. It does seem like an age since "FYE'.

Anonymous said...

I have been disappointed with Sony again here, but there again without overly dissing, I always am lost as to their lack of passion of promotions for Adam. Why????? who knows - but they do not make the fans happy. Why do they hold back?

Anonymous said...

anon @ 3:42 I do think your post is funny, just to lighten up things a bit! This second album is very important for Adam's career and, as fans, we should not add more pressure for Adam and let him does the best he can! Let's just be patient, MApril will come soon enough and we will all have a great album to listen to!

...SIGH!!!!!!!! Same frustration as always when hearing of another delay...to keep music-life interesting, have spent beau-coup bucks on great music by other artists (most recommended by Adam). Would much rather the money had gone to his pocket.

Anonymous said...

My first thought was that MApril probably means mid April.

funbunn40 said...

@Daydreamin,The Bruno collab. should be interesting, most likely uptempo, as he does his own ballads so well with his mellow voice...OT My neighbor is Gerard Hazelton. I rewrote his Playbill info,as he had left out most of the good stuff he's done. He laughed and used it. He's very humble about tooting his horn, but he's quite good. I've known him since he was in highschool and now he's in his mid 20s. He used to dance in the front yard while watering the lawn and I thought he moved so fluidly, not knowing then he was a trained dancer.

I;m glad the albums been delayed....I can't keep up with all these interviews and performances as it is...how on earth would I find time to actually listen to a new album!!!

Anonymous said...

I love and respect Adam and know he is a superstar with all my heart. "Trespassing' is his baby and it will be a breathtaking wonder without doubt, regardless of any time lapse....BUT I have to say we are all going bloody nuts here!

Anonymous said...

From Adam's twitter:

Rumor control: no duets have been recorded except for Sam Sparro's feature on "Shady". Bruno has WRITTEN a song for the album. :)

Think we could talk Adam into releasing half an album now? ;)

daydreamin said...

@funbunn40 will most definitely look out for him! Sounds like a fun, upbeat person.

anonym said...

Will there be an album at all??? I personally think that even 2.5 years between albums is something Adam cannot afford. Too much waiting for someone at the beginning of his career. He is successful but not that much yet. He'd better pull hinself together.

Anonymous said...

@3:01 PM, don't be ridiculous!! Adam didn't finish his national and international concert tour until the end of 2010 and you expected another album to be released a few months after?!?! GET OVER IT and GET A GRIP!!! Albums do not come out of thin air. They can sometimes take YEARS to record. Selfish, selfish fans have NO IDEA how long it takes to record an album. LIVE WITH IT or find another artist to support!!

glitzylady said...

To any who think Adam is taking too long with his second album:

Adam is doing fine, IMHO. He is doing more than fine. It takes time to put together a quality body of work. As @Anon 4:46 AM pointed out, Adam worked practically non-stop from the time American Idol Season 8 started until his last GNT concert at Club Nokia LA ended on Dec. 16th, 2010. He took a little time off for R&R, fell in love, and jumped back into his busy life of writing and recording somewhere around the end of Jan. 2011. So maybe 6 weeks off, then back to work. That in itself is a full time job. He is very close to putting the finishing touches on his new album. A few more weeks isn't going to jeopardize his career. In fact, one of the songs he is now finishing up may be THE song to take him to the next level of superstardom.

Taking too long??? Just as an example, David Cooke, Season 7 winner, took over 2 and a half years to put out his second album after Idol. Kris Allen is just about to put out a new album...Again, about 2 and a half years after his first album...

As much as we fans of Adam are wanting that new music, we have to realize these things don't happen overnight.

@Anon 1:31 AM I think Adam has pulled himself together very nicely..

Sheesh.................
