I don't think they know who Adam is

Lots of talk on AO about what overdrive is. It's the ability to have power, clarity, and volume at the mid and lower registers. It's like shouting, but will total control and depth, not at the high end. At least that's what I'm understanding. Lots of singers can belt it out at the high end, but only a few have control, depth, and the ability to produce quality volume at the lower end. Meat has been around for a long time. He knows what he's talking about.

The programme Meatloaf was on in this clip is a daytime/breakfast show in UK and is actually quite popular here, so its great exposure. btw, it sounds like he was lucky to say that bc he was supposed to be on another tv show later today but was taken ill minutes before going live. hope he's ok :s

JAK here..........Coming from an older generation I think of 'overdrive' in automotive terms.
(I would imagine Meatloaf might too in a way). It's extra power!
Last car I had with GUTS could merge into highway traffic like a dream....I just put it in overdrive and zoom...we were riding with the pack. With my present car when I need that jolt of power to merge and put my foot down on the pedal, the hood turns and looks at me and whines "WHO...ME"? No Guts!

How many singers today can give their ALL and then give even more?

Love to see the latest pics of him looking so handsome, smiling and very happy. I suppose Sauli has a lot to do with the happiness and then the concerts with Queen plus the impending release of Trespassing all add up to the good life for Adam Lambert. And it's about time that he is recognized for the super talented performer and amazing person that he is.

What a wonderful compliment being associated with Whitmey and Aretha. Adam is so super talented I don't even believe what he does with his voice sometimes! Guess that's overdrive! Meatloaf is a great supporter of Adam and knows true talent just like Brian and Roger of Queen does!

Adam must have had some wonderful voice coaches, that recognized the capability that Adam has with his voice. If Adam had not had that opportunity (thankyou mom and dad) he may have been just another good singer. He was taught how to finely tune his voice, and he did it well.

I had to laugh the other day, when they showed Adam blowing out his birthday candles, and they were sort of wondering if he could do it in one breath. He could have blown out 4 cakes with his training to breath from his abdoman. I am surprised that the cake stayed on the plate. LOL

Sorry, ladies, but I heard this interview after AI at 2009. Actuall. Meatlof said much more about Adam on this interview! He said that is a very special artist and a lot of people from whole entire world come in US just to see Adam!

i was watching this very interview yeasterday morning and when meatloaf said adams name i nearly choked on my coffee ha ha my son jumped out of his skin bacause i was so excited i screamed at the telly... well done meat, more people from the uk really need to know who adam is :D
