Oh I like Adam's new green leopard-print shirt, especially this tone of green. Adam looks so gentlemanly, relaxed. And yes I like his 'mixed' accent, deliberate or otherwise. You know, the thing is he always needs to explain his roles...just accept him, appreciate what he is doing, his art, rather than constantly putting him on the spot to clarify his intentions or himself; at home as well as overseas...different subjects however. A time will come when he's more established and simply refuses to explain anymore but he enjoys interviews that dwell more on his art/singing. Adam is by nature very patient and that's his likability, accompanied with a calm smile; also very adaptable. There was this older guy who spoke so fast, Adam too picked up speed; not his usual slight delay smooth style and with a 'mixed' accent on top of that...sure perked my ears up, quite funny, both went like a train. lol! :) Lam-my
JAK here......On a recent thread someone asked about responses we may or may not have gotten from people we "gifted" with the Trespassing album.....my response was pretty good. I got a nice acknowledgement from the Sister Soldier group and locally I got thank you notes from every (over 16 yrs old) girl at the Children's Home. BTW most cities will allow you to donate age appropriate music to kids in Foster Care and Children's Homes. Check it out, they are very appreciative and it's an excellent way to "grow" new Glamberts.
On a personal victory note.....I have finally converted one of my daughters! The eldest is a tough nut to crack...she likes his voice but not his music. So far only 3 of his songs work for her TFM, Underneath and OOL.
But my youngest is now a certified convert! She lives out of town so every couple months she comes for sleepover visits. She's asleep in her 1980's bedroom right now. We had talked Adam for 2 or 3 hours and played his music and giggled until THE GRINCH came out of his room and complained "How old are you two?" Just because she's 50 and I'm 76 doesn't mean we've given up being "girls"!
Adam was wonderful with his fans---I really love him for that. He is always patient and polite---love to hear his interviews--just plain love everything about this man!!!

The shirt is inspired,as JAK said, by the teal leopard from Brazil, but now because of the deforestation of the Amazon, the leopard has less animals to eat so he has become a vegetarian, now he only eat tea leaves and some other "greens".Is really rare to see that special animal because his particular skind makes him almost invisible.Thousands of years ago, ancients men started to use his skind as a dress for camouflage, keeping them save when they get deep into the forest.Nowadays is used for the opposite purpose,it makes you visible from miles way! Impossible to get lost! As you can see is the modern way of been save.;) BTW he looks great even I really don't like green!
JAK
GOOD JOB with your daugther! SEE? even the hardest one's can't ressist!! Being "the girls" is one of the best things in live! Youth is in the heart!!;))
@Jak, your story is so fun :) "Giggling with my youngest..." :D I have started to brainwash my mother (65+), I played her some Adam videos (with Queen in EMA's, Soaked, some slower Idol songs) and she agreed he has a great voice. Later she told she had watched a 30 minutes interview with clips of the songs on tv and said he seemed such a nice person too... Maybe I have to "forget" one of my cd's to her house, even though she is not so interested in pop :D
My Mom is the same age as yours, I gifted her Trespassing and she got wild!! Now, when she calls me she says, Hi baby, how are you? Where is Adam? What is he doing? WHAT!??;I created a monster....;)))
I gifted several CDs and everyone love them..However, my great niece is now a Glambert, she is following him and is posting info on her Facebook about him and commenting on all my postings about him..I know she has many friends so I hope if they are not fans, they will give him a chance..Because once you go Adam you don't go back..
It's relatively easy to pick up an English accent if one lives there for a while and it's even easier to pick up an American accent by living there only briefly. I have friends who've lived in both places and they've returned firstly sounding like a Brit after living in the UK for a couple of years, and then after a year in the US, they sounded like Americans.
If you were voting for Adam for the OMUSIC awards you can STILL VOTE right now!
I thought yesterday was the last day to vote because the "24 Hour Awards Show" began last night but apparantly they only close each category shortly before they announce the winner. About two-thirds of the categories are closed but both of Adam's are open. So vote for him as "Must Follow Artist" and "Fan Army" ASAP before they close too. I did!! :)
thats funny too, now you have to report her everything. Is she going to get out of her straight jacket ;D? Well, I am happy that my mom is not so familiar with English that I would pump on her here :D
JAK, great story! I'm still working on my grown children who think Adam has a GREAT voice but they are not fans of pop music. I guess there is hope! (But, they are looking forward to some Queen videos.)
In answer to your question...my legal birthdate is Dec. 5 (1935). However I actually arrived a few minutes before midnight on the 4th! When the hospital called for the doctor, he left the Officer's Club and arrived at the Army hospital drunk as a skunk! My mother and I did all the work and it took an hour or so for Captain Keeley to sober up enough to sign and date my birth certificate. So we celebrate on the 5th and I blow out candle on my yearly birthday pecan pie......don't like cake! :)
Thanks JAK! So you're a Sagittarius why you're on fire and very optimistic and happy-go-lucky! Always young-at-heart, never feeling old and loves going to far away places for you are always on the go and energetic in your youth. You're lots of fun to be with. Bless you!

Love the animal print shirt! Makes his eyes stand out. He really knows how to gain the upper edge in an interview!
