Adam Adam Adam, sometimes you do shoot yourself in the foot. With your mouth.

Do you really want this album to be known as a gay album? Too much information. Many of your fans don't want to share your going out and getting nasty history.

Please rein in your compulsion to
share everything!

There is a lot of songs out there from different artist, that fall into that catagory. Adam didn't mean anything wrong. He is speaking the truth.

2:36, Maybe so, but some of us do want to know about all of Adam's life. He's young, but he's had incredible experiences already (not just sexual, but part of who he is). He's had a fascinating thirty years. I think books will be written about him. People will either make a lot of the gay thing forever, or they won't care at all. Either way, he is making his mark in music history. I like knowing of kinds of things about him. The gay horse has left the gay barn. Adam is dealing with it, and we should, too.

He is being truthful sbout his life. I love Shady, in fact it's one of my favorites on the album. The beat is infectious even if you don't listen to the words. It makes you want to dance, dance, dance. Damn good song.

I love shady,,one of my very favorites on the album...fabulous song..

2:36 Maybe some of us want to know what his life was before ai. A lot of the divas sing about being more than nasty=Riahanna for one. If he wants to write about his life so be it. If you don't like it don't listen. I am so tired of his so called fans dissing him about trespassing. I love SHADY and dance to it as it has a killer beat.

This is 2:36 P.M. I love Shady it's my favorite, along with about 6 others. BUT some things should stay private, we don't need to know. This isn't show and tell. Adam is a wonderful magical talent but that filter he says he doesn't have, IMO he should find one. Don't go berserk, it's JMO. He is going to be my 25th anniversary present, my dream come true, London and Adam and my wonderful husband.

2:36 PM,

What's your problem about the album???

He is gay so the story is about him....

About his experienced and the truth of himself...

Your brain is in your a** how about that:))

SHHHH!!!

@2:36...I think if you don't want to know about his personal experiences, then don't listen to or read his interviews...just listen to and buy his music, go to concerts..it is as simple as that..I want to know everything about him so I listen and read everything I can find about him, besides listening to his music..Adam is a honest and open person, a beautiful trait.., I think..

Have a great time in London, dream come true..

Love Shady so much! Hope it will be a single one day!So funky and catchy.

The sound of this video was really harsh but I got the gist of it. :)

I don't think Shady was specifically written for gay people. Adam was recording his own life experiences in most, if not all of his songs. And he is gay so look at it from this point; that he is reliving or living his own experiences via his songs. Because if he writes on other less life-related topics, they may not be so impactful or meaningful to himself or his listeners. As in any art form, it has to come from the heart and soul, that's the essence, otherwise the inspiration won't flow and the meaning less deep, let alone for others to feel what he wants to express. He is not deliberately trying to write 'gay' songs; it's just his personal experiences and expectations or lack thereof, as a young gay man; sexual or non-sexual. And so they will not appeal to everyone as in all other art forms. But I find his songs lending themselves in myriads of ways to 'as you like it' interpretations. I like Shady but Kickin In, a little more... :)

OMG ADAM is ADAM when are people gonna learn. He can't flick a switch and become straight. Then So many want to see him as the 'Mad World boy next door' image or with wings flying godly through the sky. Adam's human and he loves life and lives in Hollywood, where anything goes.
And the fact ADAM tells all is the beauty of the man. This is a great song, recorded with iconic artists.

Anonymous said...

@2:36 Totally disagree with you.
@6:16 Disagree again. Are you kidding me, Adam doesn't need to filter at all. Plus 'gay' never ceases when it comes the US. Why the hangups? Adam is gay AND proud,so get on with it and concentrate on his love of music. This is a man not a kid.

Anonymous said...

Adam, Nile and Sam. How awesome is that. What an incredible combination.

Anonymous said...

No one is dissing Shady! or his music.

Anonymous said...

Sounds like dissing to me. If you love someone you take all of them. Adam is open and says in Underneath-I don't want to hide any part of me from you. Gay people have a really hard time in the U.S.that is why he feels much more comfortable there especially in England. The people there are much less homophobic. Brian May and Roger Taylor really like him and say so in their interview in Poland, I hope we don't lose him if he moves to another country because the U.S. is still not ready for gay people. First it was black people fighting for their rights now gay people. When are people going to wake up and get that we are all people after all and deserve to be treated the same. Sorry, It just makes me angry to read some of this negativity around Adam and his sexuality.

Let's see. A bunch of male friends going out for drinks, fun and hoping to get laid. Sounds like every single STRAIGHT man on the planet!

Anonymous said...

3:43 Exactly! What all the fuss is over I truly don't understand. Homophobia exists everywhere but the US sure seems to have it's fair share. Heartbreaking to say the least.

Anonymous said...

6:51 Summed up in one sentence.
And yet many won't find the staight guy's intensions offensive.
Go figure.

Are you honestly gonna tell me none of you girls ever pulled this kind of stuff? "Sex and the City" anyone?

Anonymous said...

So______in other words, it's okay for everyone to give their opinion, unless it disagrees with yours. I get it. I'll shut my mouth. I won't give any opinion, I'll just flail. Okay?

@7:25 am

I didn't. I've lived a very happy life, should I regret my early years. They seemed pretty good at the time, though quite tame. :)

I'm sure the catholic rednecks say and do far more worse things than this. I'm reading redneck rhetoric just now.. xD

Anonymous said...

I'm a christian and to be honest, I've always thought that catholics make christianity look bad.

Anonymous said...

@8:16 a.m.

Are there Catholic rednecks? Never heard of any and I live deep in redneck territory, nothing but Baptists and Methodists here.Oh, and snake handlers and Pentecostals.

Sorry guys!! I am a Roman Catholic &I'm PROUD to be!! I LOVE JESUS & ADAM!! JESUS LOVES ADAM too!! Call me a pearl clutcher or whatever but I am here to say ... your RELIGION does not define who you are ... just like being gay it is just a part of you NOT all of who you are!! I believe that each of us is born to be the best that we can be regardless of our FAITH which is what I have ... FAITH in my Maker to lead me away from harm!! I'm going on to 76 years here but I still LOVE music & fun even though I'm not able to go anywhere anymore .. not even to church!! But I'm still young enough to remember the days when I THOUGHT I knew more than anyone. I don't anymore ... the longer I live .. the more I LEARN & my GAY young artist has taught me alot through just BEING HIMSELF!! NO ONE says anything bad about ADAM while I have the ability to speak up for him ... the same goes for MY GOD!! Sorry for the rant but the Christians suffered enough through the years since the time of lions & the gladiators!! Enough is enough!! ... JMO

Not nice to diss someone's religion. : (( If you want to make fun of your own or yourself, okay (we all do that sometimes..) but its best to stop at that. There are Adam Lambert fans from every faith, from every part of the world. Adam is inclusive in his respect for various forms of spirituality and religions. . How would you feel if you came here and saw that YOUR beliefs were being questioned, as some have here today. Adam, a Jewish gay man, has no doubt heard a lot of crap too, but you don't hear him saying disrespectful things about people in general, with a few notable exceptions, hate groups for the most part. . When he lashes out (on rare occasion..), it is because the person or group is doing just that: spewing hate or promoting hateful behavior. Generalizing about any group is usually not fair to the majority.

Re Catholics: Such a wide variety. My state's governor, Christine Gregoire, is a Catholic. Earlier this year she signed the Marriage Equality bill for the state of Washington. She said she struggled with her decision over the years, but came to know in her heart that marriage is about LOVE, not about religion, laws, etc.She reflected on her own long term marriage and knows that it is based on LOVE and she wishes that for ALL those who love, regardless of sexual orientation. Of course, the opponents immediately went to work to take the law to a vote of the people, thinking that the people of Washington will vote it down...There was also a petition going around trying to put a referendum on the fall ballot to make it a law that "marriage be only be between a man and a woman". I'm happy to say there were not nearly enough signatures submitted to put it on the ballot. This gives me hope for the Marriage Equality Bill to pass and so that everyone in the State of Washington may marry the one they love. We already have what everyone calls "Everything but marriage" in the state..we just need to take that last important step. When I went to the Pride Fest two weeks ago, I joined a group that is helping to campaign for Marriage Equality to be approved (again). The slogan on my shirt says" "MAKE LOVE LEGAL". I hope we can do that, one state at a time. So you see, to put anyone in a box because they are this religion or that religion is just not nice or realistic. I have a huge amount of respect for Governor Gregoire. And I hope Marriage Equality happens in November in Washington State.

@tess$ADAM

I have only admiration and respect for you and your dedication for ADAM. I'm sorry to know that you're not able to go anywhere anymore even to church so I know you can't even go to see your beloved ADAM in concerts. Just like you, I am also a Roman Catholic and through being an avid fan and following ADAM, he has made me a better person by just being his true authentic genuine self. He has made me more accepting, more understanding and more tolerant of others. I cover him with my daily prayers.

All I can say is let us all be like ADAM who is all about LOVE, PEACE and LIGHT.
We can all just practice "LOVE thy NEIGHBOR' in every sense, in every way, each and every time.
